History
Established in 1981.
Behnke Woodworking started out renting a 600 sq. ft. shop as an antique furnature repair company. Around 1992, we started to get into the cabinetry business. In 1994, we built our first facility of 2400 sq. ft. Then in 2001, we added on to the facility to make it a total of 7280 sq. ft. We added a CNC machine in 2007 which has opened up many more doors of opportunity for our company to diversify and offer our clients more one-of-a-kind features. The CNCs’ efficiencey eliminated some of the labor which afforded us the opportunity to offer high end materials and still be very compedetive. Today, we bring over 60 years of experience in our work force to fufill our clients cabinetry needs and desires.
Meet the Manager
Paul L.
Manager
I am married with two sons and have a home in Hastings, Mn. I started to show an interest in wookworking in high school. I took more classes in woodshop than I could get credits for. When I was 16, my parents were building a house and were using a local cabinetry shop that they knew. My mom asked if they were hiring and they were. At that point, I had a job without really wanting one. I worked there for 2 yrs. Then, I framed a couple houses for a few months. I stopped by at Behnke Woodworking to say hi to one of my old co-workers at the other cabinet shop. He told me to fill out a job application. I told him that I wasn’t looking for a job and that I was on a college waiting list to go to be an electrician. He still insisted I fill out the job app. I told him again that I wasn’t looking. He said just do it anyway. I said ok. A couple days later he called and said that I was hired. I said ok I guess. In 2002 I started with Behnke. In 2004, my old co-worker left and I became the manager
