The Riverview

We had our wedding two weeks ago and had such a great experience! Our family and friends enjoyed themselves and had a great night! The food was delicious and service was great! The view was breathtaking! My husband and I enjoyed the experience we had with the event coordinator Natalie, who definitely made this experience very easy! Jason also was very dedicated to making sure all went smoothly and so did our maitre D and bridal attendant Rafaela! We fell in love with the place and cannot wait to come back!

attended a wedding May 7. The noise level for the music and announcements was too high. Only since have I added a decibel meter to my phone but could not have used it in the ballroom anyway as fingers needed to plug ears. Infants and children should not be allowed into ballroom due to noise (they’re more at risk for hearing degradation) and adults should be warned

Great food, drinks and service. I’ve been coming here for years and they have improved their menu big time. Amazing views in both the upstairs and downstairs. Looking forward to having more events here in the future!

Great catering space in Yonkers with amazingly beautiful views of the Hudson and Palisades for a seminar, event. (They cater wedding receptions as well.)
We came here for a breakfast event that brought in between 100 — 200 people from all over Manhattan and the Boroughs. So while a pain to leave the city and we got a little lost driving there, it was a fantastic venue for the event: elegance on a budget outside Manhattan, gorgeous views out the floor to ceiling windows, and spacious floor area and seating — also podiums/​mics and setups for guest speakers.
One room was set up with seating behind a podium for speaking, reading and music — then another room for a breakfast. The entrance and seating, then table settings looked lovely.
Chandeliers because I love and notice chandeliers also brought my attention to the fact that they were a little unbalanced — drawing my attention to the ceiling and its draperies/​treatments which need some updating possibly causing this. I don’t know who notices ceilings besides me but …
For a wedding I am guessing this is an ideal location for those who have a large number of guests, want elegance, stellar views, have champagne tastes on a budget.
For an event/​seminar outside the city, fantastic.
Buffet and food — very good.
My overall impression and wow factor: The views the views the views.

Shocked at all the negative reviews — my husband and I got married here 9÷14÷14 and it was absolutely amazing.
We met with Natalie, who was a gigantic help with everything. She was understanding of our small budget and worked with us. We decided on a buffet style dinner and we had many dishes to choose from. The dessert table had just as many choices, ontop of the appetizers. We couldn’t get over how much food we could choose for the price we paid. Also included was our cake, centerpieces and flowers for the gazebo that overlooked the Hudson river.
The day of, everything went smoothly. The ceremony was gorgeous, and for flowers that came with the package we chose, they were absolutely stunning. The cake, unbelievable. It was just what I wanted. And while we knew there was going to be tons of food, we were definitely not prepared for what we received. A lot of our guests thought the cocktail hour was the main entrée — that’s how much was offered. It was incredible.
The room we chose was the top floor and we couldn’t have been happier with the view and the décor. From start to finish, our day was perfect and if I could give The Riverview a million stars, I would. Please do not let a few bad experiences sway your decision — let the venue and that amazing view do the talking. Ask for Natalie — you will not be disappointed!

BE WARNED.
I attended a wedding here last night. Upon arrival, I was genuinely impressed by the gorgeous views and décor. We were led into a side section where chairs were set up in an area overlooking a beautiful gazebo. Once the ceremony was over, we were escorted downstairs to the dining area. This is where everything fell apart.
The downstairs ladies room floor was saturated with water from a leaky toilet. Paper towels were never replenished leaving you forced to dry your hands with TP or tissue. There was only one trash receptacle which quickly overflowed, so tissue was strewn all over the counter.
The food service was deplorable. There were about 200 guests present and the hot food station (5 small trays) was only replenished once during the cocktail hour. Cheese and cracker station was literally Ritz crackers — not an assortment, just one type… tacky. Ridiculous. These are inexpensive finger foods.
Waitstaff were clueless as to what items were in the hot food buffet.
Cutlery was spotted/​dirty. We had multiple broken glasses at our table. My knife had caked up food on it and it took over an hour for the waiter to bring me a new one.
Immediately following the cocktail hour, our dinner orders were taken yet it took close to two hours for the actual dinners to arrive and they arrived ICE COLD.
Butter dish was present at the table, yet no rolls/​bread arrived. When we asked the waiter, he explained that a basket of fresh bread would come out along with pasta and salad prior to the main dishes. A small Caesar salad was served to each guest but no pasta. Rolls were cold. same type you get from the bodega when ordering a sandwich.
Espresso advertised as an option but none available. Only coffee was served. Had to walk upstairs to the bar and ask the bartender to please send someone down since all of the waitstaff had disappeared by then.
Open bar = open waste. Terribly water downed cheap liquor.
Pros: waitstaff, though clueless, were nice. Our bartender was an absolute sweetheart. He was very accommodating and even made a special drink for the bride, which she loved.
Overall: tacky. There are much, much better venues in Westchester. This place is deplorable.

I’m writing this review 24 hours after attending their Mother’s Day Brunch.
We had a reservation for 1pm. I know my future sister-​in-​law pulled some strings to get us this reservation last minute, which we were appreciative of. We drove all the way from New Jersey to have brunch with my mother-​in-​law. We arrived and were told what table to sit at. No one approached our table, offered to get us drinks or even just explain the layout of the food considering that it was spread throughout two rooms.
First stop– beverages. My husband and I were looking forward to bloody Mary’s. What we got was cocktail sauce and vodka. They were disgusting! We ended up drinking water the whole time.
All of the food looked like it was sitting there for a while and it must have been since the last seating was at 2pm. They were very slow to refill the food at the stations, if they did at all. I found a few things I liked but everything else was dry, overcooked, with no flavor. A complete disappointment.

I held my baby shower at this venue and I couldn’t be more pleased. The staff was excellent. They were very attentive and accommodating. Service was impeccable. The food was delicious the venue was absolutely breathtaking. My family and friends have not stop raving about how beautiful my baby shower was and how much they loved my venue. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Floor to cieling windows with a spectacular view of the Hudson, good food, professional service, chivari chairs, ample parking, a good dance floor and many many more features make this a great venue. You get the most bang for your buck here.
I highly recommend as I have hosted two parties here including my wife’s big birthday.
Simpy Amazing

I have been here many times i really like this place. I had my engagement party here and we were treated really well by all the staff. The food is good and you get what you pay for. If you want to have a small party with family and friend and not go broke this is the place to go!!!

Besides the view (which is why I rated this place two stars) this place is pretty awful. I’ve attended a few events here and I really hope I’m never invited to another. The staff is quite rude, the food is NOT GOOD — bland and always cold. Another awful thing about this place is that the parking lot is across the street… the parking lot is awkward enough in itself, but having to take the trek in heels, especially at night, is not an ideal scenario.

This place gets solid four stars for the views and service alone. I’m not sure if my waiter in particular was a straight professional, or if the whole staff is trained to provide such great service, but I was impressed. There is room for two parties here at once, one upstairs and one downstairs, and you will hear the dj/​party on the other floor if there are speeches to be made, so make sure you plan that ahead of time with the house.

Had a family event here, not a good choice. Had to send people around trying to find someone that worked there (several times). They were not very interested in our party of about 40 people. Food was dull, commonplace throw it on a plate stuff, and not much of it. Look elsewhere. Nice view though.
