Love this place, pizza like I was in NYC… in Texas! Folding slice of pie, NYC decorations! Friendly staff! And did I mention NYC style pizza! I’m coming back!

In Haslet for a softball game and stumbled upon Big Joe’s. Clean restaurant, great food, Superior service. Family friendly. Next time we are in Haslet, we will return to Big Joe’s.

Food? Love, love, sweet sweet love, this food is good. That chicken parmesan sandwich will make you fall in love with the place. We usually get that and a side of pasta and it’s enough for us. Atmosphere? Well, don’t show up expecting to impress a date. It’s usually fairly stuffy, the floors are industrial and strip mall chic, and the paint colors are pretty garish. Service? The answer is no. There’s no service, you place your order, sometimes it’s ready right away and sometimes it takes time, they’ll nod at you to let you know, and you get your own drinks and refills. It’s not that the service is bad, it just doesn’t exist if that makes sense. Overall, the food will be what keeps you coming back. The price is great for the flavor and quality. Enjoy.

Great service, most definitely a Yankees fan. Yankees memorabilia all on the walls. The slices of pizza are a pretty decent size for what you pay for. The garlic knots are up there in taste as well as the pizza. Will be coming back on lunch again during working hours, hey even if I’m not working I’ll take the drive to come eat at Big Joes. The only guff I have is that it is sweltering inside, but other than that, something I can overlook for this pizza.

Joe’s pizza hands down is where it is at! I’ve lived and eaten pie from the West Coast to the East Coast. What a blessing Joe and his family has brought Italian Gourmet to Texas. Inside there is plenty of seating, even have a drive thru and the other side has a fully stocked bar also has entertainment on the weekends. How could you go wrong? If you are new and looking for authentic pie give Joe’s a shot. You won’t be disappointed! I live about 20 miles and it is well worth it.

This place is GREAT! It has a drive thru which was super convenient for us. We ordered a Stromboli, Calzon, a slice of Cheese pizza, and a order of garlic rolls. All were Hot when served and very FAST. It all came out to be $ 16 bucks!!! They put our food in a pizza box to go lol! The food was DELICIOUS!!! YUMMY!

I love the food at Big Joe’s! The Chicken Alfredo is the best I’ve ever had and the garlic knots are delicious! Big Joe is a sweet Yankee boy and very personable. Try it… you’ll like it!!!

I’m not a fan. Sorry but I am not. Pizza tastes like Costco pizza and the ingredients have a ‘manufactured’ pre-made taste and feel to it. Honestly its is completely unremarkable. It feels like someone took a pizza recipe they found on the side of a jar of store bought pizza sauce and built a business around it. Staff was so-so, bit rude and more interested in pushing our food than the customer experience. Others seem to like it however so maybe I am a bit harsh. Either way we likely will not come back if there is other options around.

Pizza is great and the calzones are out of this world! Eat it! Slices and the pizzas are huge! Salads are great. Fun small town feel. They guys who own and work there are incredibly nice and accommodating.

Just discovered them. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and house salad with Italian dressing. It was all extremely yummy and I will definitely be back. I don’t like my black olives so I had to take them off the salad.

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! As a person who has traveled the world and who can appreciate good food and customer service from Paris, France to New York City from Okinawa, Japan to Honolulu Hawaii, right back here to the good olé state of Texas. Home… The person who served me today was a complete rude jerk!!! I don’t know if he is always this way or if my husband and I received special treatment due to our skin color. I will not spend another dollar in this place nor will I recommend the place to anyone especially people of color. May the Lord soften your mean heart Mr. Joe– Rach

Large portions, home made food and quick service! My teenage son had issues finishing house plate and he’s like a garbage disposal. The Alfredo sauce was the real thing, not something from a jar. Stromboli was spot on. I like the garlic powder on the table. Can’t ever get enough garlic! We’ll definitely be back.

I am born and raised from New York. If you want a real taste of NYPIZZA then Big Joe’s is the place! I have not tried their Calzones but I am told they are great also. More to follow but I give them 5 stars for the pizza!!! Update!!! The calzone is perfection in pizza dough!!!

First off Big Joe is something out of the Sopranos, I feel like Paulie is going to come out from the back and start quizzing me on how well my dinner went. On more of a serious note, the food is fantastic! There are more options than you could possibly eat and everything is adequately priced. The portions are huge, the food is always hot and the free bread is one of the best parts of the meal! 5 out of 5 will eat again!

***Cue«The Flamingos-I Only Have Eyes for You”*** Now that I have the Music playing in your mind follow me on this review! :) When I first entered it took all of my dignity, not to press my face against the glass. All of the food looks delicious! After wiping the drool from my mouth, I ordered the Spinach Roll and the Garlic Knots! Heavenly, is the only word that comes to my mind. The Garlic Knots are a bread lovers dream! And the Spinach Roll was stuffed to the Max and totally delicious. I ate majority of it before I noticed the Marinara sauce on my plate to dip it in. Oops! The salads looked great too! If you love Pizza, Pasta, Italian this is the place to be! Oh yeah! Did you see the prices??? They won my wallet!

I live just down the street. And, while I don’t go ALL the time,(I’d be as big as a barn) I do love Big Joes! He’s the real deal. Brooklyn. Yankees. And, real New York Pie(that’s pizza pie). It’s kinda greesy, and really good. It’s the kind you fold in half and just consume while watching the Rangers at NY on one of several flat screen TVs! But, as good as the authentic pizza is, ya gotta try the Tortillini Bolognese! OMG! And don’t forget the Garlic Bread Knots.!! A side salad w/the house dressing(a tomato vinaigrette), the garlic knots and the Tortillini Bolognese will easily feed two heathy adults especially if you’re having a glass of the house red and a cannoli!

Oh snap, this is some good food, y’all! We were staying at the Marriott about 15 minutes away and decided to head in the opposite direction for lunch Saturday. The restaurant is in a small shopping center with not much around it. I found them on Unilocal and my husband and I specifically wanted to try their garlic knots after reading about them on here. But alas, they were sold out. Boo. We over-ordered, I tell ya. My husband started with a salad that was more than enough for both of us. It had several kinds of meats and cheeses, tomatoes, olives, and peppers. We opted for the house dressing, which was marinara based. A very good and very large salad for about $ 7. Could easily have been a meal on itself. We also ordered garlic bread with was freshly baked and covered in parmesan garlicky goodness. Served with marinara. I got the spaghetti with meat sauce and was soooo happy with my food. The sauce tasted homemade and delicious. We seriously couldn’t finish all of our food. There was a ton of it. Oh and dessert. I got a cannoli to go and he got something… can’t remember what. But that cannoli, y’all? So good. The best cannoli I had had prior, and the one I compare all cannoli to, was one I had in Chicago. This one was… better!!! The restaurant was medium-size, I’d say. You walk in, seat yourself, and go up to the counter to order. But it’s more like a display case with desserts on the right side and pizza and calzones displayed on the left. The guy who took our order, I’m going to assume he was Joe. The accent was there, lol. You serve yourself a drink and then your food is brought to your table. The place is attached to a bar which didn’t have anyone it it other than two employees, so maybe they weren’t open? Not sure, but it was attached through to the pizza place. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It’s not a fancy place, but I can see it being someplace that has regulars, especially in light of the fact that it’s in a small town.

The pizza is my favorite in the area. BUT the real winner at this restaurant is everything else! Their pasta is amazing. Also it doesn’t matter if it’s listed on the menu. If you tell them that you want spaghetti with grilled chicken in it? They will make it for you. Just tell them what you want. Their chicken alfredo is made of dreams. My mom loves their spinach pinwheels. That’s pretty much what she orders every time. Their mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce are super yummy. They’re also very generous with their bread. Their calzones and stromboli are also extremely tasty. Pretty much the only critique that I have for this place is that their pizza is average.
