Dr. Gravity’s Kite Shop

Hey, this place is adorable!
Been meaning to stick my head in here ever since I moved to Harwich Port. Finally got around to doing it, and am a little annoyed at myself for putting it off! Not just kites and flags, but beachy gear, games, toys, etc. Really fun place to browse.
Go out the back door and there is Dr. Cavity’s Candy Shack. tee hee! Bulk candy and shelf items. There wasn’t an employee in there when we wandered in, so Joe went to ask for someone. The girl rushed in and was SO apologetic. You would have thought she kept us waiting on surgery or something. She literally cut open boxes of recently shipped candy so that Joe’s nieces could have a full browsing experience. I was very impressed.
The Candy Shack does not take credit cards, but if you don’t have enough cash there is a chance they’ll just give you a receipt and you can pay at Dr. Gravity’s with a card. I felt like I was on the honor system a lot, but I was also there on a Tuesday morning. I am not sure if you’d get the same treatment if it was a July weekend.
Overall, I was really impressed and Joe’s nieces were very happy. I think it was their favorite place in Harwich Port! I only took a star off bcs this place is mega cramped. I can’t fathom going in there during peak hours! Also, I wouldn’t mind if they went a little more toward the gaming side of things, but that is really just me wanting a local gaming store within walking distance! :P

I’ve been popping into this store for years and years. The folks know a lot about kiting. ok, they know everything there is to know about kiting. Love the LED lit kites for night. Fun spot after getting George’s Pizza.

This place is great. Went for kites for the kids. They have a great selection and they know what they are talking about. Helped us pick out good kites for the kids and they can fix kites as well. They have alot of trick kites as well.

Everything you could possibly need for a day of fun at the beach! Reasonably priced and parking across the street.

Really cool store. Lots if interesting things for kids besides kites. The store is a little chaotic and it is hard to get rung up when crowded. A little pricey. But these guys can save a rainy day!!!

Excellent kite and general toy store. Came twice in just a few days. Lots of fun toys for whole family — slap wrist band watches, marshmallow bow and arrow, bey blade key chains, rubber band pistols, ninja chopsticks, beautiful and functional kites. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Husband, son, & I loved it.

Knowledgeable staff that love what they do and will walk you through everything from skim boards to kites! They puchase quality brands and clearly care/​have fun — which makes it a great shopping experience!
