James And James Transportation

Did not get a change to even try their services. Called this morning schedule a swamp tour. Asked them to give me a call before they picked us up. Gave me a window of ¹⁄₁₃₀. Well 1:40 came gave them a call and the gentleman on the phone said we didn’t have your number to call you. Sorry you actually called me back this morning from a different number. Completely wasted my day on my vacation when I could have done something else on my bucket list for Nolan.

I had family in town for Mardi Gras and needed a designated driver for a crew of 12. Mr. Aaron arrived on time to pick us up. The van was nice and clean. He dropped us off for Endymion and we decided he would pick us up in the same spot. We called when we were ready and he was there to get us in 20 minutes, which was awesome with all of the parade traffic.
It was so nice that we could all have a great time and get home safely… and at a VERY reasonable price.
An added bonus was that Mr. Aaron was very personable and accommodating. We will definitely use James and James Transportation again.

I purchased a living social deal and tried calling the number provided (504−458−1494) numerous times back to back without a reply and recieved a voice message stating the inbox was full so I was unable to leave a message. I did send a text message since the voicemail sounded like a cell phone. Next, I tried the number listed on Unilocal and their website (504−371−8920). I found another number online (888−455−0270) and it was busy each and every time. Lastly, I submitted a form on their website requesting a call back and sent an email. No reply for 6 days. The voicemail boxes on these numbers are full I am sure from the company not listening to them.
I purchased the groupon on October 20^th and was not able to reach someone until October 26. Per living social you have 7 days to request a refund so I was ready to give up and make other arrangements. When I did reach someone (on October 26^th around 6:45pm) he told me he has been «having trouble with his phone for the past week» and could I text him the information. He also asked how many passengers and if I had purchased a «groupon». At this point since he said the date was ok I texted him the info as requested and did not make alternate information. Still somehow I did not feel so secure. He never replied to my text with a confirmation even after I followed up.
Upon our arrival I waited 15 minutes and called. I was told they were waiting for me upstairs. So we had to drag our gigantic luggage upstairs and were picked up in an older but clean towncar. The driver was polite and gave us suggestions on all the restaurants we should try. I feel bad about my review but the booking process was horrendous! On our date of departure we were picked up in a shuttle just our group of 4 (this was also clean). +1 star for the friendly driver.
Vacations are suppose to be relaxing. This added stress as I was uncertain if they would pick me up or not. Next time, I will go with the shuttles even though they are shared. They have a booth at the airport and it just seems like an all around easier process. My sister and her boyfriend booked the shuttle and their ride from the airport to the hotel was easy.

We used James & James when a friend saw something online where they would drive us to a Swamp for a tour. They were the lowest price, even based on Groupon and other discount sites. There were 17 of us. The only «problem» was that they originally said that they would pick us up at the different hotels we were staying in but later said that they would only pick us up at one hotel. Fortunately, the majority of us were staying there or nearby.
Making reservations was basically, you call, make the reservation, and that’s it. You don’t leave a credit card, you don’t get a confirmation. It made me uneasy since I’m so used to doing everything in advance.
I/​we had nothing to worry about. The bus was on time, it was clean and was in very good condition. We were dropped off at Manchac Swamp (great tour) and then picked up. We called to check on the status and they picked us up about 10 minutes after the tour.
I will definitely use them again when I’m back in town.

HORRIBLE! called them in September about the living social certificate I purchased for a round trip limo ride from the airport to the hotel. Talk to someone who said to sent a text with my info. Our trip is today and no responses from them. I called both numbers and send an email. STILL NOT RESPONSE!!! very unprofessional. I wouldn’t give them one star if possible.

Really should be NO star. We used a Living Social deal for their swamp tour and made the reservations. We paid for a cab to the designated pick up location and waited. They NEVER showed up. We called and they said they had cancelled the trip and thought they had contacted everyone. Wasted day and cab fees. Bummer!

I read a review here on Unilocal that mentioned a groupon so I went ahead and got one as well. I got a very fair price on round trip airport transit for my party of five. That was before I read the negative reviews here. Happily, I had a great experience!
At first I had trouble reaching then by phone but did on the third try and made the arrangements. As soon as I turned my phone on after landing I had a text from the driver and our van was there within minutes after we stepped out the door. The return trip was also on time and we had a stress free trip to the airport with plenty of time to spare. I’d definitely use them again for a group airport trip or a tour.

Such an amazing service!!! Found a groupon and purchased transportation from and to airport and also used them for a jean lafitte’s swamp tour!!! Worth the money— not to mention you will save money by choosing James and James and not getting a taxi!

Wow. Where to start? They have a number listed on Living Social. They have another on their website and ANOTHER that is floating around on the internet.
I purchased a Living Social certificate. Over two days of calling them, all of the numbers said they were disconnected. When I finally reached someone I told them I was trying to contact them for two days. He then RAISED HIS VOICE at me and told me «Well you have me now, so TALK.»
I asked Living Social for a refund and will NEVER deal with this company again.

Unfortunately we never got the chance to give James and James a try even after being referred and purchasing a living social certificate. Communication was poor and come to find out they indicated that they would not pick us up at the cruise port. Got a refund on certificate. Recommend you look to other transportation companies.
