Bel Amour Bridal

Came here looking for bridesmaid dresses as well as a ball gown for Mardi gras. Everything I touched, I felt like the manager had an opinion on what I should get or not get or if we would fit into the dress. She was literally pulling the dress out of my hands even though I was wanting to try it on. How rude? She told me my vision for my bridesmaid dresses was going in the wrong direction. Um excuse me? Then as we were trying on dresses and were NAKED, she just busts into the dressing room to take the dresses we had already tried on out of the room. Like really? You can’t wait until I’m clothed? The only reason this place gets 2 stars is for their bridal magazines which I browsed through and seemed to turn the experience around. Seriously need to learn some customer service and privacy at this place.

if i can give negative stars i would. this is the WORST bridal store, not just on the westbank, but in the entire world!!!
this was the second store i tried on dresses at just because it is convenient to my home, but it was the worst decision i could have made.
my bridal party and i came to this store last week for my a last minute wedding dress. upon entering, the lady (the manager apparently) greeted us. i told her my wedding date and she informed me that i would have to buy it off the rack since its too late (which i knew). so i continued to tell her what i liked and did not prefer and we choose about 5 dresses to try on. the fitting room was a bathoom (kinda disgusting in my opinion). she helped me into the dresses and i modeled them for my party. some more people came in and she greeted them as well and continued to help me. after the fifth dress she starts YELLING at my friends and i saying how «confused» she was in front of the other potential clients. i was so in shock that i could not even yell back. to end the story, she states that should will go pull more dresses for me to try on. NO, we left shorty after being publicly humiliated.
take the time to go the eastbank to find your dream dress without being embarrassed.

My bridesmaid and I went to this store to look at bridesmaids dresses. A sales girl started helping us when the owner decided to step in and take over. She sat us in front of a bunch of catalogs and magazines and that was the extent of her helping us. I tried asking her about some of the dresses and to see swatches and pretty much just other normal questions about her dresses. She was rude, didn’t listen to what I wanted, was disrespectful, and although I gave her no price point she said my girls wouldn’t want to spend so much on the dresses I liked, even after my bridesmaid told her she would pay whatever price. She got so fed up with me asking questions that she just didn’t want to talk to us anymore. After insulting me and my friend she told us to leave the store because she didn’t want us to waste her time. There was another group of women there that witnessed this and I hope they weren’t as badly treated as we were, even though when they walked in the owner just assumed they were coming to get Zulu ball dresses (I was offended for them by her just assuming that, btw they were there for a wedding dress). I wanted to cry after this experience because she was the rudest woman I had ever come across that actually owns a store. I can only assume that the good reviews are lies told by her, staff, friends, and maybe some customers that she didn’t deal with personally. I don’t know how she stays in business with that attitude but I hope this review reaches some of you and you don’t spend your money there.

Alright… so this store has a pretty good selection of dresses, however, the customer service is not great at alllllll. The biggest problem is the owner. I went in one time and was with one of the sales girls, who was really nice and helpful. Then out of nowhere the owner walks up and starts taking things over and asking me all these questions that I had just went over with the other girl. The owner doesn’t listen at all. I have been into the store many many times with other people, and my sister even bought her dress from there. The owner never remembers who I am even though she’s seen me in there and have had conversations. ALSO… one of my bridesmaids wanted a size 4 for her dress but they insisted she get a size 6. so she ordered the size 6. Now my bridesmaid has to get it taken in all over which is costing her another $ 100 and the dress was $ 200 to begin with. If you know what size you are… I suggest going with your gut, but to be honest I would avoid going to this store all together. PS the last time I went in there the store was stale and smelled really bad… not a very good experience. Glad this wedding dress stuff is almost over.
