AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

Hands down the best experience I have ever had at an urgent care clinic. The front desk staff was polite and efficient. There was no wait. Dr. DiRago is a competent doctor with a caring manner, and rather than rushing me in and out he took time to actually speak with me. Very rare in any medical environment these days. They called my prescription in to the CVS nearby, and it was ready in no time. I would not hesitate to use this clinic again. Highly recommended!

Alway able to be seen and very little wait time. So that you can start your road to feeling better.

Wow! So much better than the ER. In and out in less than 40 min, enough said.

Let me tell you something… I seldom write reviews unless I am thoroughly impressed and boy was i impressed by this place. The service was amazing, from the moment I called to when I arrived. I was in some serious pain (had a tiny shard of glass stuck in my foot). After some quick paperwork, they took me right in and the amazing Dr. Gandham asked me about the issue I was having (he listened intently, was extremely patient in getting the details out of me) and started working on getting this little demon tiny shard of glass from hell out of my foot. He patiently cut around the callous and was extremely attentive to my pain threshold. It took some time, but before I knew it, he had the little trouble maker out and I was feeling as though the heavens opened up and magical unicorns were dancing and frolicking in the vast meadows of my mind. Case in point… Dr. Gandham was amazing and I would not hesitate going to him again. He was patient, knowledgeable, funny and had excellent bedside manner, which is a dying art among doctors today. Thanks guys!

I am quite disappointed. I have brought myself and my family to this urgent care on a handful of occasions and always left with nothing less than wonderful experience.
Unfortunately, our most recent visit left a terrible taste in my mouth.
A few weeks ago, my wife and I came in for a rather routine health concern of hers. We were immediately «greeted» at the front desk by one of the managers, Marlene.
She was incredibly rude and condescending. She scoffed while waving her hand and rolling her eyes as she asked my wife «Are you really THAT sick? Oh please.» And continued to speak negatively (not to mention rather loudly) about my wife to the receptionist. We could hear her even after we seated ourselves in the waiting room.
Normally, I would have turned on my heal to leave, but my wife was very ill and needed treatment ASAP.
The physician that treated her was wonderful and very sympathetic as usual, however I doubt we will be coming back after witnessing how incredibly poor the management of this facility is.

Needed for a strep test on a weekend. Professional clean and quick. Will return if needed.

Unfortunately I got sick again and was forced to return to Doctors Express again. This time I saw Dr. Garcia – another amazing doctor. She fixed all my problems and I again went on my way. The only difference between her and Dr. Kealy was that she didn’t know the words to the Neighbours theme. Hopefully she will be able to learn them in time for my next visit.
I restate my original point: this is an amazing office with great professionals. No matter what is wrong with you, you will definitely feel better after seeing them.

My husband and I had been sick one after the other from New Year’s eve from severe cough and congestion which we thought was simply due to exposure to cold weather. But after my husband threw up twice last night, there was no way postponing to get medical attention for both of us. I’ve heard about Doctors Express in Hartsdale so it was a chance for me to check it out myself now that we needed medical care. I was so impressed at the welcoming and immediate attention accorded us. Dr. Tugetman was so pleasant, thorough, and gentle with his examination on us. He even warned us that we will not like the swab he had to do but was necessary to determine if our illness was due to influenza as he suspected. Letting us know what to expect ahead of time definitely removed our anxiety. My husband even commented «That wasn’t bad at all!» The long and short of it, we went to Doctors Express feeling glum but left with a happy face feeling much better and very thankful for the kind of service we have received. Marlene, the Clinic Manager, even searched for a pharmacy where Tamiflu was available since there is a manufacturer shortage after learning this from several of the chain pharmacies she had called. Miriam, the Medical Assistant, who took all of our vital signs and preliminary information needed and Kristin, the X-​ray technician who did the paperwork on our discharge, were just as efficient in their field of work. I will not have second thoughts in recommending this urgent care facility to anybody who might need minor emergency medical attention.

This is no ordinary Urgent Care. I have been coming to this location since it opened for my children and myself. Dr. Tugelman is simply wonderful. The office is run the very well. Testing provided for accurate diagnosis. Today, I was seen by a new physician… Dr. Kealy. She was absolutely wonderful too. The staff is great too. Helpful in providing notes for school and work. The office is cleaned and well staffed. Not a long wait ever and if there was, i would wait. Better than the e.r. Do not hesitate to attend this urgent care.

Mixed Bag. I had a relatively short wait time on a Sunday. I described a few symptoms — which may or may not have been related to each other as in: had a definite bug bite (I was in the woods in north eastern PA where there are spiders, ticks and so on), had a very sore Jaw and throat. According to my quick reading — a spider bite (or any toxic bite) can definitely cause the jaw bit. He basically said «I’ll treat the bite as a tick bite — since we don’t know when it was — will go for 14 days of antibiotics’. The jaw thing was dismissed as «Not sure what that is» — and left it at that (hmmmmm). Then I get the prescription for 21 days. I called the office the next day to make sure I should do a 21 day cycle — or not. I was told «The dr. isn’t around until next Sunday (i.e. 6 days) — so will leave a message for him when he gets in». Kind of a bizarre attitude. In terms of a quality indicator as well — their system sets an account up for you (I assume to check history and so on) — but the email with the link leads to an error.
UPDATE: The last bit about the dr. unavailability comment — though accurate of course — needs to be updated with the office did just call back the next day with the answer.
So I added another star — FWIW.

Best doctor’s visit I’ve ever had. I went after a week of being sick, two golf sized balls in my throat that made it hard to swallow and non-​stop coughing fits ²⁴⁄₇. I went first thing in the morning and only had to wait for one person ahead of me. Must have been barely a five minute wait. The staff from the nurse taking my temperature to the friendly doctor offering me donuts and jokes in the morning were all awesome. There is a high probability I will be coming here if it’s not an emergency. This location is also minutes away from home. Efficient and friendly. Top notch.

Yesterday I visited the Hartsdale, NY office. The time of my visit was 11:50 to 1:05 pm. I went to the office due to the fact I was not feeling well, fever, sinus, throat, and tonsil issues, throat was irritated and inflamed. I was seen by a nurse who checked my blood pressure, temp and pluses (My Blood Pressure was elevated ¹⁴¹⁄₁₀₅). During the exam she was texting on her phone. I gave the nurse a list of meds that I am on and how much I take of each medicine. I was then taken to exam room where I waited for 15 minutes before Dr. Siddiqui saw me; his unprofessional exam took less than 2 minutes. This was such an extremely poor exam. He never asks about the medications I am taking, DID NOT ask about my blood pressure and I had to suggest a strep test. Dr. Siddiqui, said I had an ear infection, tonsil and sinus infection. Upon my suggestion for strep test, he agreed and had a nurse conduct a strep test. It was negative. I was given an electronic Prescription for antibiotics. I went to Walgreens to pick up my prescription and the pharmacy informed me that medicine prescribed by Dr. Siddiqui had a counteraction to my current medications. My pharmacy call Doctors Express office and had a difficult time getting a Doctor on the phone, the Doctor recommended a different antibiotics which again had a medicine counteraction, needless to say with the pharmacy recommendation they finally got it right. The Final straw was I emailed all my concerns with my contact info, and Doctors Express did not get back to me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are poorly staffed and I am considering filing a complaint with New York State.

I really can’t say enough about this place.
As someone with both parents in the medical field, I judge pretty firmly on any healthcare establishment.
These guys are polite, inviting, thorough… Just what you need when you’re really not feeling well and just want someone to help you out.
I walked in today (my third visit) and even though they weren’t completely open yet, the door was open so I didn’t have to stand out in the cold until the clock struck exactly 8am when they opened.
The young lady behind the counter got me ready right away and it was only a few minutes until the doctor came to see me in the exam room after another young lady took my vitals, asked questions as to my conditions, etc.
I have never had the same doctor here twice, but they are all very good with patients. They are extremely informative and almost chatty as to discussing how you’re feeling, what could be bothering you, what your options are, etc.
They also always provide you with their own card so you can follow up with them if you need to.
This time around I happened to be diagnosed w/​a viral infection one day before having to call in for jury duty. He wrote a note saying that I am to be excused and said, «If they give you any problem, you have my card. You have them call me.»
My specialists are all up at MKMG in Mt. Kisco, but for everything that could immediately ail you, I highly recommend coming to these guys first.

It’s nice to have a place that I can go to on the weekends when I’m not feeling well. I went this Saturday and had a nice experience. They took my insurance which was great. I was there about 2 hours in total, that’s not bad considering I had no appointment. The nurse was great as was the doctor. The place is very clean and the staff is very nice.
