Michael Finn was the guardian ad litem in our case. He is a lazy, rude and arrogant person who absolutely does not take his responsibilities serious or do his due diligence in his investigation. He seemed to have no concern about parenting plans, enforcing the new statutory law for maximizing placement, or supporting the equal fundamental rights of both parents. His role is to visit the homes of both parents, he didn’t do that for us. He is also obligated to evaluate the emotional ramifications of each individual case — he didn’t do that for us. Regardless of the numerous letters, photos, evidence presented to him — he still recommended the child in this case be left with her mother. Her mother is moving from Wisconsin to Florida, with her 3 children(1 from 1 father, 2 from another), no job, without her current husband(who has a full time job here in Wisconsin), no transition plan, AND is going to reside with her mother in law!!! All because she wants to get as far away from child #1’s father as she can. Does that sound like a stable«family» environment to you? Michael Finn never considered the best interest of the child, the emotional and physical deprivation this child was going to suffer by not being with her very involved father. If you have Michael Finn appointed as your guardian ad litem, immediately ask for a different one, he is a cold hearted individual and does not consider both sides of the story.
