Subway

I might get some flack from my fellow Unilocalers for this star rating (and even possibly for this review) but I will take it for the Subway team.
Yes — it is a chain
Yes — there are better options in the area
Yes — it is located in a Shell Gas Station on the corner of Broad Street and Capitol Avenue and does have some sketchy patrons that frequent the area
BUT — I freakin love this place! The vegetables are always fresh and although the meat is processed I have never had a problem with the taste or texture it.
The staff has ALWAYS been friendly and I might have visited *cough* enough times during last racing season for them to know me by name and how I want my meal. It is the first time I consider myself a «regular» anywhere.
There is something to be said about all the other great options in the area but sometimes you just need something quick to fill that pit in your stomach and this does the trick for me!
