History

Established in 1975.

Originally called «The Commodore», this converted cocktail lounge was purchased in 1975 by the brothers Tom & Will, along with their parents Dan & Dorothy Masters. In 1982, the tavern became a partnership between the brothers, then remodeled to look very much like an old mine shaft, where it borrowed its present name. Shortly thereafter, the first expansion took place and a kitchen was added, serving Mexican & other popular food choices.

Tom became sole owner and set out to make the ultimate Fish Fry. Over the years, we expanded 7 more times & now exceed 2000 dinners every Friday.

The Mineshaft seats over 500 people and serves over 10,000 guests weekly, which brings the total served to over half a million people annually.

We will continue to grow and give our customers large portions of quality «Home-Made» food at reasonable prices.

We thank the many people who have supported us, without you, we would never have made it.
