I concur with Dennis, these are the very best Donuts i have had in years. I can only think of 2 better places, one is in Gaithersburg, MD and the other is the Donut Dip up in W. Springfield MA on rte 5(we plan on making a little sojourn up there one of these days, they are truly amazing. We don’t eat donuts frankly, becuz the ones u get at Dunkins SUCK… but now that we have found these, we might have to make it a ‘every couple of months’ thing! :oP They are thick and yummy, not too greasy, and have a true and nice flavor, not one that leaves a filmy/greasy residue in your mouth!(eeeww!!) The bagels are not bad, altho I think better can be had nearby in W. Hartford from what other Unilocalers say… But i was very happy with a Bacon, egg, and cheese i had on a toasted plain bagel. Yumm! EVERYTHING, and i mean EVERYTHINGHERE, is made here! On the premises, the counter lady was very quick to point that out! She was very nice and very helpful, and made a mean egg sammy! We got(Lord knows how on earth we are going to eat them all, i think the birds and squirrels will be getting treats in a couple of days) but we got a dozen donuts to try a variety(OMG, their Chocolate Honey-dipped are yummy!) as are the other couple of ones we took nibbles out of so far! They also have ‘donut holes’, muffins, and a host of Bagel flavors. ALSO, they make those big cinnamon coffee rolls, in fact, let me go take a nibble to tell you how THAT is… i have a feeling it will be just as yummy as the others… hold on! yup, just as good(altho i really think i prefer the donuts!) Im glad i have always liked my donuts a bit stale, as we are going to be hard pressed to finish all these! But hey, you have to live life to the fullest, and taste all of it you can! If you have been looking for a good Mom and Pop place, look no further, this is way better than the grease and super saccharin-y crap u get at Dunkin Dog-nuts or Krispy Krap!

Best donuts in Connecticut(if you arrive early). You have to understand the donut culture on the east coast. Since Dunkin’ Donuts is from nearby Massachusetts, even though the quality is poor, they pop up on every corner. There are very few mom and pop donut shops here, and I don’t know if there ever were. And because DD is so putrid, it doesn’t take much to rise like a phoenix above them(kind of like besting a Ford Escort with a Dodge Neon). So anyway, unlike DD, they don’t cut corners and their donuts have substance. The only problem is their freshness. Since donut shops out here aren’t hip to making the slightest attempt at preserving freshness, you have to arrive early. Front doors are often kept wide open, and flies make b-lines to the tasty morsels.
