Carvel Ice Cream Supermarket

For a milk shake, they use soft ice cream and add milk to it. They are the ice cream store, and I never seen milk shake made with a soft ice. (Certain places like McDonalds and other fast food places are obviously not comparable here).
They charge $.50 for credit card use for under $ 10.
They don’t have a napkin at the eating area so I asked. Then she gave me a paper towel, a typical folded paper towel you get at any public restroom (low quality paper). Can’t have regular napkins? It’s just a perception but adds to my eating experience.
I don’t recommend to come here for a nice desert experience unless you really have to have a frozen dessert.

Thiefs… thiefs…better to go quick check beside it and buy some haz n daz ice cream over there

Wow — the staff (which apparently includes the franchisee, not just employees) is remarkably dour and severe. It’s like Mr. T taking your order but they’re not Mr. T and not entertaining. I considered filming the experience to maybe get worldwide fame (it has to be seen) and because no one would believe how bad this store’s staff is without experiencing it. They make the soup nazi, Ebenezer Scrooge, etc. look jolly. And it wasn’t a fluke — I’ve been here several times and it’s always the same.
Certainly don’t bring your date, kids, or dog along — they won’t like the foul vibes. Then again, maybe a stout, trained-​to-​be-​aggressive Doberman pinscher would do well here, and make good battle with the proprietor.
The ice cream never disappoints, however (it’s Carvel). But Tom Carvel would flip if he saw these guys in action.

Customer service sucks. They NEVER have pineapple for a pineapple sunday. what’s the deal? I arrived at 9pm store looks like its open but when u walk in they nothing I was looking for. No pineapple No soft ice cream, No pineapple ice cream?!! What’s the point of having this location ??

THE.WORST.CARVEL.EVER … Seriously rude owner who tacks on 50 Cents for everything. I’m surprised she didn’t bill me for asking for a receipt. The milkshake was reflective of the service, weak and a lot left to be desired.

The owner is very rude to the customers. The first time I was there she «greeted» me by asking, «What you want.» The other times I’ve been there, she closed out the register and shut the soft ice cream machine down at 8 o’clock. I would think that a business owner would be more friendly and accommodating to paying customers.

Local Caravel. Pretty standard place.
