Ace Custom Auto Upholstery

Went to go get a top replaced on a Cadillac. Based on reviews I figured this place knew how to handle the job. Yes the top was replaced but am I satisfied… umm no. My emblems were put back wrong. The job seemed sloppy and very quickly put together. I can see glue on my paint. My car isn’t brand spanking new but I am aware of its scratches and yep there’s new scratches, as if they used a flat head to gauge up the old top and in the process scratched the car. At a distance my car looks shinning but up close I can see the imperfections. Now my only regret is that I should have done further shopping around and not had jumped the gun. I can’t say you get what you pay for because I did end up paying more than what I was originally quoted for. Not to mention getting called and asked to bring cash when I had already paid a deposit using my credit card. I don’t like carrying large amounts of cash with me. What kind of business asks you to just bring cash when they clearly accept credit cards.

Normally, I would complain about an unpaved road but I haven’t owned a slammed vehicle in a few years. Anyways, by word of mouth, I decided to come here. It’s quite a task to find this place but if you know where to look, you’ll be good. You just drive past the high school & stay on your right until you see the Aycock construction sign or the Cooper & Bright Plumbing sign. It’s right behind there. You just simply make a right onto the unpaved road. Frank is nice & I got a chance to see some of his work while I was getting my quote. You get what you pay for & the quality as well as selection is there. I mean the guy has been doing work for over 2 decades. I’m pretty excited because I’m going to redo my seats, headliner & doors a two tone. I’ll be back for an update when I get the job done. There is a deposit for ordering the materials and depending on what you need, it could take a week to finish. So be sure to plan it out before you make any decisions.

Brought my son’s 2007 Mustang convertible to Frank to have the top replaced along with the carpet and padding that was full of mold and mildew because of a significant leak. Frank replaced both the top and carpet with pad at a fair price and even cleaned up the mold and mildew. Would definitely recommend Ace Auto Upholstery to anyone.
