Mattress World Northwest Happy Valley

Needed a new mattress and we dont have a hige selection here at the coast so we went into portland to get it figured out. We have never bought a new bed and had no idea what we needed. We went to Bed mart before coming into to Mattress World. Andy gave us some great education on beds and we got a sweet memory foam bed. 1 month later we are sleeping great. Love this bed Thanks again Andy

Excellent service and great prices. The salesman Ryan was very helpful and honest with us. They weren’t pushy and suggested we look around because they would price match. We will definitely be back for our next mattress.

This place is the BEST! Have bought some beds in my day and this is consistently best selection, knowledge, service, and $$$… be prepared to get a great nights sleep!!!

Just purchased a mattress from Trevor on Sunday and had a great experience. After stopping at all of the «different» mattress stores (essentially Sleep Train stores with different names) Mattress World was a relief. We had a very modest budget for a king size bed, which was mocked by a Sleep Country sales person (to his demise, as he didn’t get our business or our future referrals). Trevor acknowledged our budget and respected it. He gave us a great deal on a mattress we will be happy with, with a fair amount of education about mattresses and the differences without being pushy. We literally crossed every mattress store off the list (even Ikea) and ended up back at Mattress World. We were so annoyed by the sleaziness of the other mattress stores and really appreciated Trevor’s honesty. We are making sure to let our friends and family know to skip the big chain stores and go straight to Mattress World.

Andy did a great job helping Gram find a new mattress! He was very knowledgeable! Thank you for helping my Gram have many nights of good sleep ahead.

Went mattress shopping today and ended up at mattress world at happy valley and worked with Andy and oh man happy valley is the perfect name for the setting of this store ! Very happy with Andy and our new mattress !

This company is the SAME as it was when it did not have the Northwest in the name.
They promised the lowest price or it is free… then admitted they will not give a mattress away to the BBB… They have claimed that I was never a customer. Tried to talk me into a lower quality mattress for more after refusing to match a lower price on a comparable mattress for more. My bed that they sold with the same tags by both companies is failing and the protector is falling apart.
The sales tactics and willingness to say anything to avoid a bad review on the BBB website confirms I am lucky I did not buy from the new company.
It is as bad as the old one.

Saw an ad on Craigslist and luckily they still were willing to honor it! Walked in, spoke to Andy. He directed me to exactly what I was looking for and didn’t try to sell me on a more expensive mattress as other companies have done in the past. He was very nice and professional. Paid and scheduled my delivery in less than five minutes. And my window for delivery was anytime that would fit my schedule. Would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a high quality mattress. Thank you Andy from Zachary and Maigen Thompson!

We had a great experience at Mattress World Northwest in Happy Valley. We went in not really knowing what we wanted and walked away as happy as can be. Our salesman, Andy, was more than helpful. He gave us plenty of time to make our decision and didn’t try to push anything on us. He gave us a great deal on a memory foam mattress that we are completely in love with. They told us it would be in the next day before noon and we got a call the next day before noon. I wish there weren’t such bad reviews about this place because we had a pleasant experience and I would absolutely recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

I went in looking to buy a new mattress for the first time and the salesman Andrew really helped me out. He started out by showing me a nice mattress that I loved but was way out of my price range. He then showed me some of the cheaper models that they had and they were definitely not impressing me, to be honest if he didn’t suggest something else I would’ve probably walked away and found somewhere else.
Then he asked if I minded a mattress that was like new, and he explained what all of that entailed. He showed me some great mattresses that were cheaper than the cheap models, but a lot more comfortable. He helped us out by really asking a lot of questions on what kind of mattress we needed and what kind we could afford. Working with a minimum wage salary that wasn’t much. I ended up buying one of the like new mattresses for less that the cheapest mattress they had on the floor, but still with a lot of padding and comfort. I felt like Andrew really helped me out in finding an excellent mattress, and he even helped me get it into the back of my truck the same day. Never was pushy or rude trying to up sell me on anything. I really enjoyed the great service and would recommend him to anyone.

Prices were good after a strong negotiation. Price matched Amazon for accessories.
Service at checkout was slow and involved many receipts and signatures, I just wanted to buy the mattress, not sign up for a loan.

These guys stand behind their warranty of 101 days, no questions asked. We bought a mattress at the end of July and within a week or so realized that it was way to soft for us. We stuck it out for 3 months, hoping we would get used to it. After 90 days had passed I thought they would never exchange it, but my husband insisted on going back. We showed up 99 days after our original purchase and they were great. They helped us find a firmer mattress in the same price range and arranged to deliver the replacement within the week. They made us feel completely comfortable and well taken care of. This was amazing customer service and I will be buying all future mattresses here.

We went to Mattress World having previously been frustrated with other mattress retailers. It seems that in this business, if you have less than $ 2000 to spend on a mattress, most stores don’t really want your business. We came to Mattress World with our moderate budget, and the guy who helped us (the «shhhhh» kid from the commercials, no less) found us something great in our price range, and didn’t try to push us up beyond what we were willing to spend. He seemed very knowledgeable about his products, having us try out a number of mattresses before narrowing in on a couple, from which we chose the one we wound up with. My girlfriend and I are extremely happy with the latex foam mattress we picked up, and we were extremely happy with the service at Mattress World!

Being a family company, you’d think you’re in for a great experience. Not necessarily the case. The son of the owner «helped» us out – you know, that kid in the commercials who looks at the camera and says «shhh.»
We walked in looking for a new bed for our daughter and walked away unhappy. The salesman was completely checked-​out of the conversation, and it was like pulling teeth to get info about any of the mattresses.
Sometimes, when a person is given a job that they didn’t earn, it results in a bad experience for the customer. At least that’s the lesson that Mattress World taught me that day. Recommending that people avoid this place if they can.

Tim Lowery at Mattress World is great. He really knows so much about all the types of beds. The selection is vast. I initially bought a latex bed for the guest bedroom (it’s great!) and later went back to Tim for my main bed. Both tmes the beds were just what I wanted/​needed and with no hassle delivery. I recommend Mattress World NW and Tim without hesitation. Jenny G.
