Giuseppe’s Cakes Etc

We ordered a cake from Giuseppe’s for our daughter’s third birthday party. The design was adorable, and the cake was delicious. Thank you, Giuseppe’s!

This little bakery is always a stop when my boyfriend and I are out that way. It’s mostly cupcakes, cookies, and a small selection of other delicious delights. My boyfriend, the bargain hunter, loves their day old cookies that they sometimes have bagged up on the side at a discount. I swear, if it doesn’t resist being eaten then it’s not for him. (He leaves twizzlers out until almost rock hard and then enjoys) For the rest of is there is always a large assortment of fresh items waiting to devoured. I have only ever seen two people working here. They are both wonderful and very patient while my Libra mind tries (and fails) to decide what to get. So then they take great care packing up the (usually large) assortment we end up taking home. Some of our favorites include the Heath bar cookie, the chocolate crackle cookie, oatmeal raisin, the raspberry crunch bar, and my guy’s favorite– the Boston cream cupcake.

I ordered my daughter’s birthday cake from here. They were very accommodating when I was placing my order. When I picked up her cake and cupcakes, I was beyond happy. They were fresh and delicious. Everyone commented on how good they were. Nothing beats my daughter’s expression though, when she saw her «wonder pets’» themed cake!

We ordered ours sons 1^st birthday cake and I had a picture of a cake that I found on Pinterest that I was hoping that they could replicate. They not only nailed the cake but it was the best cake I have ordered in a long time. Very moist and everyone at the party was raving about it! Thanks Giuseppe’s!

I am allergic to gluten, didn’t taste anything I bought at the store but my family who are non-​gluten sensitive said the baked goods are great.
First of all, I called in frantically this morning at work cos I just realized that my uncle birthday is today. I called n Michelle (I am guessing she is one of the owner) picked up my call. I explained to her the situation, and asked her for a banana cream pie. She told me they don’t have any ready made n they ran out of whipping cream for the day. The big surprise was she actually went out of her way to run out for some whipping cream at the store to make me the pie to be picked up at 6pm the same day. Now, that is what I call customer service at its best.
I cannot thank them enough. My uncle enjoyed his birthday banana cream pie. To Michelle and her crew, thank you thank you thank you. You just made his birthday extra special this year.
I bought a whoopie pie for my dad. He said it tasted fresh n good. Mum have yet to dig into her apple cinnamon tea bread but it looks good. Hubby loves the raspberry crunch bar and can’t wait to dive into the fresh loaf of rosemary olive oil bread.
Will certainly return and spread the word of this nice little gem to family and friends.

This is a classy bakery across the street from Marylou’s. The baked goods are fresh and creative.
Many cookies and cupcakes. I think they do wedding cakes.
This is a busy area. Be careful crossing the streets. Lorraine’s cake shop is nearby.

I was searching for a cake supply store, which is right next door to this place. As I was leaving — backing my car out and out of the corner of my eye I spotted the sign and for some reason I took a second look and spied the word «cakes». I pulled back into the parking spot — and entered the storefront. It is a small space, with a large display case greeting you as you enter and there is another display case to your right in a smaller space — filled with cakes — and appears to be a refrigerated case. Tucked back in a smaller room is where you might see a woman icing cakes.
i had a few seconds before I was greeted so I was able to get the lay of the land, and saw that there were several styles of cupcakes, and if I wasn’t going to be out all day I would have bought a couple. They looked nice, kind of homey — not overly decorated or too much frosting… I did opt for a blueberry muffin — almost $ 3, but it was big. I dove into it before I pulled away — it was a really good jordan marsh style blueberry muffin… crunchy top, fluffy interior and tons of blueberries. It is one of the best blueberry muffins I have paid for, plus i think it had just been baked — slightly warm!
Since I had bought my breakfast, I figured I would get some snacks for dessert later today… I bought 4 cookies, a crackle, oatmeal raisin, oatmeal cranberry and chocolate chip. The crackle looked just how it should, but it was either not baked that day or was slightly over baked for my preference. Plus, the chocolate/​cocoa used in the cookie was not giving it the richness this type of cookie usually possesses. I wouldn’t buy it again. I tried both oatmeal cookies — both good, crispy edges and chewy center, but one of them was a little raw in center — i like just baked but not raw. Finally, I tried the chocolate chip, it reminded me of the tollhouse style my mom baked growing up — basically that is what I got. It was nice, but if I was going to return I would go for a muffin, an oatmeal cookie, and maybe pick your favorite looking cupcake.
I would give this place 3 ½ stars — simply based on the great muffin and also the woman who assisted me — very pleasant!

I’ve visited every cupcake bakery on the South Shore and I can say with confidence that this is a Hidden Gem. The cupcakes here are more flavorful and lighter in texture than those at the more publicized cup-​cakeries, and alll are made with emphasis on taste, not just appearances, AND the prices are reasonable – No $ 4.00 cupcakes here. Guiseppe’s is well worth a visit.

My daughter’s 2^nd bday is on Thanksgiving this yr. I called to order a simple small cake for her and 7 adult family members. I asked for a couple of Sesame st characters to be drawn on the cake and they said they wont be able to do that because it will be Thanksgiving week. Im sorry… isnt that what your business is? They told me I could go out and find some figurines and bring them to them or bring a picture. Hunh? I stupidly ordered the cake and then thought about it and realized that didnt make any sense. And I called with 3 weeks notice. I called the next day to cancel my order and the woman said there is a nonrefundable 20% discount which they never told me about when I placed the order. Absolutely the worst run business and I will tell everyone I know to never go there.

Do you think my boyfriend would mind if I ate all his birthday cupcakes in the car before I get home?
Amazing hidden gem. $ 10 minimum for credit /​debit. Cupcakes are large and totally fresh with a decent array of flavors for such a small store front. It was so hard not to order everything in the case. I’m very happy to have discovered this place! And will most definitely come back.
