For me it’s not just about the haircut but about the whole experience! Friday was my 2^nd time coming to this salon and the 2^nd time Denise cut my hair. With the first cut I was so happy, i loved the cut. Right after my visit Denise friended me on Facebook and began to get to know me & my life. When I called to schedule my 2^nd cut she greeted me like an old favorite friend! So warm! Then when I came for my appointment, we talked about my hair & how I wore it, lived with it &i told her that I trust her to do what she thinks is best. The whole time i felt like I was visiting with my girlfriend! My cut was one of the best I’ve ever gotten! Denise listened and knew me well enough to give me a gorgeous cut but one that was simple enough for me to manage on a day to day basis. I walked out feeling relaxed, proud, beautiful and excited to show off my new look! I’ve found my new salon & a new friend! Go see for yourself! You won’t be sorry!

I found Gabanti Salon thru Groupon. I called to schedule an appointment and was greeted with a smile and service better than I have ever had. Denise, the owner is a class act. She talked to me about my hair color, what my wants were and delivered a service far better than expected. She not only has years of experience and offers suggestions, but she listens; which is something that I have had a hard time finding. Long story short, that was over 2 years ago. I no longer seek groupon deals to get my hair done, as this salon is my home.

In my opinion, Denise is the best of the best. She is a Grade A hair stylist, cosmetologist, colorist and person in general. She, unlike SO MANY stylists, actually listens to what you want and then proceeds to act on that. She will let you know if you’re flirting with disaster when you come in with a terrible vision of what you want — and I LOVE that about her! If you can’t trust your stylist, then who CAN you trust?!
I love this salon, I love the ambiance in there, I love the way I feel about myself when I leave there… and that’s all thanks to Denise. I love her and because of her I also love my hair!!!

Bad experience, which the owner would not rectify. I was quite disappointed in the lack of professionalism.
In September, 2013, I went there on a groupon to get a Keratin treatment. Never having done this before, I was trusting a new place with my experience. Upon walking in, I was greeted warmly, and felt comfortable.
After Denise did the treatment, the following day, I noticed that my hair was the same as when I had come in. I went back and Denise said that it looked like it did not «take». She offered to do it again, however I was nervous to add more chemicals into my hair. I said that I would think about it. She told me that If I was not going to do it, she would refund $ 70 of what I paid — just paying for the product used.
I decided not to do it and called the salon leaving a message with my name and address and phone number for the refund. It is considerably far away from my house, so, I have called on many occasions, getting no response after countless messages left. I assume my refund is not coming.
P. S.: After 3 weeks, I went to another place, where I am still enjoying what the treatment has done for my hair. I noticed a very different process this second time, to which I attribute it «taking» to my hair.

Amisha, I too am a frequenter on groupon, living social and even amazon local deals and I am going to have to disagree with you on this one.
I have started to notice being treated a certain way as a groupon customer by some owners and employees of salons. An example being by calling multiple salons in my area to schedule an appointment. One salon, not to be named had a groupon available for her store so I called to make an appointment with the possibility of becoming a new loyal customer. She was rude and didn’t seem to want a groupon customer coming to her salon to so business. When I called Gebanti, it was the exact opposite feeling. She was warm and friendly and open to any new customer. I was glad I called because I almost didn’t even try after reading your review.
Denise is an absolute doll! She is a hard working mother who has a beautiful salon and she treated me as if I was family from the moment I called to make an appointment for a cut, blow dry and partial highlight. She went above and beyond and coming from someone who just signed up for Unilocal just to write a review about how pleased I was with her service says a lot.
I’m sorry you had a bad experience. Maybe it was just one of those days. I plan to go back to Denise on a regular basis just so I can be in her company and walk out of there looking like a million bucks. She made sure I left looking like a star and even went as far as curling the ends of my hair because she wanted me to look great for my husband. Give her another try, you’ll be thankful I told you.

I met Denise through a friend and immediately fell in love with the salon. I have gotten my hair done there since before 2009. I have never thought of going any where else.
–There spray tans are right on point and they do a wonderful job.
–Before prom in 2010 I had gotten my hair and make up done there and it was amazing! I looked so beautiful and I was so beyond satisfied.
–I have also gotten my hair trimmed and colored there ever since and I will NEVER go any where else they always listen to what you expect and work extremely hard to achieve it. They also will mimic any picture you bring in of hair color or cut. They will give their honest opinion and they know what they are talking about when they say what looks good. They take tremendous pride in their work and would never let you leave with out being satisfied.
–It is always such a joyful experience to be in the salon and the woman that work there could not be nicer if they tried. I highly recommend Gabanti to all my friends and relatives and never have to worry about them not being satisfied.
