I cannot believe this place is still in business. It is filthy, the dogs are sickly. They support puppy mills. I lived in Florida where you would go to the flea market and see people trying to sell little puppies from backyard breeders and puppy mills. This place is no different. The customer service is awful. I do not understand why they are allowed to continue to operate the way they do. DO NOT bring your dog here to be groomed and if you do buy an animal from here, consider it a rescue!!! Owners if you are reading this, you are awful to continue this business. At least clean and update your disgusting store. You should be pet advocates, not merely looking to make profit from mistreatment of animals.

excellent job grooming my teddy bear small breed dog! been coming to the hanover location for 5 years now with him ! and ive purchased my daughters cat here as well no issues or problems ever !

I took my dog in to be groomed today. When I dropped her off, I explained to the groomer that I wanted her to keep as much hair as possible and to shave her tear stains away. When I picked her up, she was COMPLETELY shaved but around her eyes was not at all. I spent $ 50 for you to bathe and shave her? I could have done that myself. When I asked for an adjustment around her face, the groomer took her out back and when she returned, nothing was changed. Now I am left with a mess to clean. Previously, a woman named Kathy was the groomer and she was fantastic. My dog would come out beautiful with a bow in her hair. This groomer today was Christine. She told me if I wasn’t happy not too come back. When I was leaving, the pet shop owner Brenda told me that «I was the type of person who went out to eat and didn’t tip» that’s your response to a unhappy customer?! Appalling. If I went out to eat, explained to my waitress I wanted chicken and she came back with steak, I’m sure they would rectify the situation instead of insulting the customer. What kind of business is this?! The employees at Fin Fur and Feather are disgusting. The reviews speak for themselves. I explained what I wanted and you did nothing I requested. I can’t believe I just spent my hard earned money to be verbally assaulted and have my dog shaved. STAY AWAY. & Brenda, you should be ashamed of yourself. It’s called «customer service» you should look up tips on working with the public. How do you expect to keep your place of employment without customers?! This place is a disgrace.

I brought my 2 longhaired beautiful cats to be bathed and have their nails cut last week. I specifically said BATHED, but when i picked them up they were SHAVED like lions. One cat had an ingrown nail apparently, which the owner Kathy surgically removed. The girl at the desk told me it took 2 of them to hold my cat down. Why they didn’t call me first is beyond me.
When leaving, one of the cages was not closed correctly, and my cat got out. That cat also had one of the pads on her foot hanging off, like it was ripped.
I called and left several messages, and finally a week later I spoke with Kathy, the owner, who was incredibly rude, telling me that I definitely told her I wanted the cats shaved, and that the misunderstanding was MY FAULT. Those words NEVER LEFT MY MOUTH. Not only did she basically call me liar, but didn’t even apologize, and then told me there was a bill being passed that if a cat has an ingrown nail and the owner doesn’t have it removed (like i even knew it as there!) that she could report me for abuse and negligence, and remove my cats from my home! I a looking for the correct place to file a complaint. She was so insensitive and RUDE.
I feel terribly that i ever put my pets in her ‘care’.

Because of this place I am now an anti puppy mill campaigner and animal advocate. You really never know how close puppy mill relations are until you experience it first hand. My little girl was sick her entire life… Puking, IBD, pancreatitis, ulcers, tumors, skin and eye problems, I could go on. We tried everything to make her feel better. Spent over 18,000 trying to help her. She only lived to be 5. I personally researched her breeder and all of the current breeders supplying this shop. They are awful awful awful. Two large puppy mills in Seneca, KS (The Rottinghaus family), a large puppy Broker called pinnacle pet, an Amish broker/​breeding facility that also hosts puppy auctions. The owners of this shop will not change their business standards. So I will stand with animal advocates to educate and peacefully protest until this is stopped. In memory in Tina.

I have read some negative reviews of this pet store but I bought two kittens and was very pleased. I bought Sabrina 8 years ago from the Quincy store and she is wonderful Okay, she is a little odd and only comes out when the family is home but she is healthy and had no issues.
Bruno is 6 months old and is also wonderful. He had his shots and was healthy. I would definitely return for a kitten in the future.
