They were not only friendly and welcoming but did a great job with my eye exam and worked with budget for contacts AND glasses! I have never been happier with an office and feel so blessed I found them!

This is the only medical office that my children and I honestly LOOK FORWARD to visiting before our appointment. Everything about this office is warm and inviting. They know most of their patients by name, and when you arrive they greet you with sincere enthusiasm — letting you know they want you there, that you are not an inconvenience inserted into their day. The staff is friendly, funny, genuine, kind, loving. The eye care is excellent. They take time helping with frame selection and have skill in knowing what complements people’s facial features. They add special touches to the experience like coffee and muffins, or seasonal contests and giveaways. Seriously — this office is the one to go to if you want quality eye care with above and beyond customer service from a local business who treats their employees like family and gives back to the community.

I cannot believe how many other reviewers have a positive view of this eye doctor. I can agree that all the helpers were extra friendly when I first came into the office, but I quickly found out their one and only goal was to make as much money off me as possible. From the moment I made my appointment, I indicated how I do not have insurance and have to pay out of pocket.
First they offered an extra «test» for my eyes, saying that I needed to have this extra scan and it would cost an extra fee to have this test done. I went ahead and said yes since they were so insistent that it was important for my eye health. The doctor failed to review my test result and I had to ask 3 times at the end of my visit before the doctor looked at the results to see if they were normal or not. After I got home I researched the test and it is very clear this is only necessary for older folks. Not recommended for someone who is in their late 20’s. Strike 1
After being told my prescription, I walked around to see their glasses. Beside the designer glasses they had a box with «value glasses» for those who cant afford the expensive glasses. These glasses were still well over $ 100 but were clearly cheap «made in china» glasses you can purchase online for under $ 20 lenses and all. Yes, I appreciate supporting local businesses, but come on, if you really want to help those in your community who are less fortunate, please don’t mark up your products at over 80%! Strike 2
Finally, they brought me into a room with all the contact lens options (way overpriced again). I was then handed a form to sign. Before signing, I read the paper and it said something on the lines of: «I agree to purchase my contact lenses and glasses from Dr Kirby… and will not purchase from anywhere else.» THIS IS ILLEGAL! I then asked for my prescriptions (paper version) and they refused at first, trying again to get me to sign the paper. At that moment everyone in the office started whispering to each other and looking over at me, then all of them became exceptionally rude. Strike 3
All in all, I spent around $ 200 for my exam and was basically shunned out for not blindly spending my money on their other overpriced products. I do not have insurance that covers eye care so it is extremely hard to be forced into paying such high prices. Some people just can’t afford to pay almost $ 1000 every time they visit the eye doctor.

LOVE all the people who works here. Very friendly and you don’t feel isolated. They have multiple conversations with you and sometimes they will sing to their patients… You don’t find that anywhere here in the valley. It feels like home! My sons enjoyed coming here and it’s never a boring appointment. We have a great time picking eye glasses frames and they make it more fun. And my son Adrian said they make good muffins!!! The most important thing they treat you like family.

Clean and comfortable office, the staff is awesome and very friendly and make sure you matter. Doctor Gonzalez was great, very friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything to me so I could understand it. I would definitely recommend this office to any of my friends. The only thing I would consider improving is ease of access and price of product.

Best Dr office Ive ever been to… hands down! When my wife and I come here we are always very welcomed. They know im a coffee drinker and hand me a cup without even asking. The staff is so friendly and we feel so at home we find ourselves not wanting to leave. If I owned a buisiness, this is exactly how I would want it to run.

Really good eye doctor to go to. I don’t know what the one star review was complaining about… I’ve been going to them for almost 20 years since I was a little kid. I don’t even live in hanford but it’s still worth the 25 minute trip. The staff is very friendly and the whole office décor has a very calming/​positive/​laid back atmosphere and you always feel welcomed. I’ve never had a problem with any of my glasses I’ve got from them unless I myself sat on them or something. The selection has always been pretty good too. They always try their best to find a pair of glasses/​sun glasses you’ll love, look great in, and can afford.
So yeah, quality eye care and very friendly staff make this doctor visit a stand out. I wish other doctors treated their patience like this. My dentist and family doctor should take notes.
