We’re your last stop on the Northshore for all of your «last minute» camping needs. We offer a full line of high quality camping gear and accessories. Everything you’ll need for exploring Kauai’s special places. From tents, stoves and sleeping bags to hiking boots, freeze-​dried food, fuel and insect repellent, we have it all.

Cruise around quaint Hanalei town on a beach cruiser. All rentals include helmets and locks.

We offer high quality snorkel gear for sale and for rent. Rental includes mask, dry-​top snorkel, fins and mesh bag. We also offer optic/​corrective masks as well.

Paddle up beautiful Hanalei River, a self-​guided tour in one of our single or double kayaks. Rental includes paddles, backrests, life jackets and dry bag (optional).

Great location, great staff, great stuff.
We rented snorkel gear. They said «keep it as many days as you want and pay when you bring it back.» Perfect. Who knew how many beaches we would hit?
We rented paddle boards at 9am a different day. «You can keep them until 4:30.»
My arms fell off after two hours of straight paddling…
They put the boards on the top of our car, strapped them on and told us where to put in a mile away. We paddle boarded from the parking lot at Hanalei beach pier up the river.
OMG felt like we were in a movie. What a backdrop! Towards the end we had to sit on our boards and paddle under low branch tunnels. We saw painted turtles and some neat birds. Some of the trees bordering the river where in pretty yellow bloom.
Perfect day with the perfect gear from the perfect store with my perfect husbo. :)

We rented kayaks, stand up paddle boards and body boards during our stay on the north shore. The equipment was great, the service was excellent and the prices were the best we found. They had lots of other stuff to rent or buy. Would definitely rent from them again.

This place was just what we were looking for — quick and decently priced gear. We came in and were out within five minutes completely outfitted with gear and recommendations on the best snorkel spots on the island. The best part is that they will give you the best rate that applies to your rental when you return the gear. That way you don’t have to preemptively decide how long you want to keep it.

My wife and I went in for snorkel gear, everything was very good quality and they made sure our masks fit really well. Price was only $ 5 a day for mask, snorkel, fins and snorkel bag. Snorkel Bob’s charged us $ 11 a day on the other side of the island. Also found some good quality, lightweight baseball hats for $ 15, half the price of anywhere else in town.
Went down to snorkel at Tunnels, parking was a mess. Go early unless you want to walk a ways. But worth the hike, saw a sea turtle in 3 – 4 feet of water and watched it for cruise around feeding on coral for about 15 minutes.

Nice place in my favorite town of Hanalei.
People were friendly.
We rented beach cruisers for the week.
The bikes are seriously a POS… they do zero upkeep on them.
They worked fine but the worst part is the rubber grips on the handlebars.
They are so slimy and gross that our hands turned black and sticky from holding on to them.
We actually decided to take them off and just ride the bikes without them and then we put them back on before we returned the bikes.
$ 15 a day. $ 60 a week.
Rent for more than 2 days and get a day free.
Crusty bikes, but a convenient location if you are staying in Hanalei or Princeville.

Super chill Hanalei shop. Five bucks a day for snorkel gear can’t be beat. I bought a hat and they added it to the tab to be paid when we dropped off the gear.
Good quality snorkel gear. Different sized masks for kids and adults and the «good» snorkels with purge valves.

This place had pretty much everything I needed on my trip out here. Snorkel gear, bikes, body boards, etc. They even put a basket on my bike for me per my request which I thought was pretty cool! Super nice folks and good service. They also sell a lot of cool souvenir type items which I usually despise; but the things they sell here aren’t your generic trinkets and tee shirts, so I definitely spent some money on things for people back home. The only complaint I have is that they don’t rent surfboards, but I guess that’s what surf shops are for. But if they had rented them, I probably wouldn’t have needed to visit any other store!

The staff here was extremely laid back (of course) and helpful (right on). The snorkel gear is $ 5 a day or so, and it comes with everything you’d expect, including some with corrective lenses. Best activity we did.
Tip: Go to Tunnels beach on the left side.

Rented snorkel gear at Pedal n’ Paddle upon arrival in Hanalei. Very quick and easy. The equipment was high quality and we had no issues at any point over a weeks worth use all over the island. I would highly recommend P N’ P for Snorkel rental if you are anywhere near Hanalei. $ 20 per week was a great value for the quality of gear.

They gave us broken snorkel goggles that constantly filled up with water. Sucks because we obviously couldn’t snorkel like that. However, the reason why I’m giving this place 1 star is because of the customer service. You’d think they wouldn’t charge for broken snorkel gear but the girl working there insisted on charging for the flippers only. That’s just bs in my opinion and poor customer service. Where’s your aloha spirit pedal n paddle? If you decide to go here, the guy working here is nice and helpful. The girl not so much.

Classic surf and swim shop in Hanalei’s main strip mall, close to the beautiful Hanalei Bay, stocks most of what you need for beach basics including: snorkeling rental, forgotten swim goggles for the swimming pool, a decent selection of straw and sun hats, inexpensive boogie boards, camping gear, kayak rentals, cheap straw beach mats, etc. Tiny spot, but with a fairly good selection of beach equipment, all fairly priced. $ 5 a day for snorkel and flipper rental is pretty fantastic, in my humble opinion.
If you forgot it at home, or chose not to pack it, they will likely have it here.

We rented a kayak here for ½ day. Despite our SUV rental not having a roof rack, they used a «Hawaiian roof-​rack» (AKA 2 foam pads and some come-​along tie-​downs). My 6’3″ husband and my wimpy 5’4″ self managed to heave-​ho it on and off the roof, but it was not easy. About ½ a mile away you can get into Hanalei river and kayak up river or go a tiny ways down river and into the bay. The bay looked choppy that day, so we elected to go up the river. It was fun and relaxing and go at your own pace. I was only good for 2 hours of paddling, so we returned it early. Quick and easy rental and returns and friendly staff.

Pretty much the only place to rent or purchase if you ever hike/​camp in the Kauai/​Hanalei area. Our group did the Kalalau hike and rented a few items from here as well as purchase fuel for our stoves and smaller items.
Good service and easy to reserve gear over the phone. Returning wasn’t a problem either. Check out their site and ask questions.

Prescription goggles!
At least one staff member (blond, young, polish) was super nice and helpful (dark hair and young employee to whom we returned our equipment could use a lesson in smiling and feigning interest in customers). The rentals were super inexpensive, they carry prescription goggles and they give you a mesh bag to carry it all in. Awesome. Highly recommend just getting a week long rental from here if Hanalei is convenient for you, or get a day rental is you’re going up to the north shore for a day.

I love this place for an active, one-​stop, rent bunches of stuff day. Kayaks, bikes, snorkeling gear (and corrective lens gear)…and everything you need for camping! They will rent you a tent, stove, sleeping bag… and then have everything you need for purchase, from freeze-​dried food to hiking boots.
Not feeling quite as adventurous as your friends? Then just rent a damn beach chair and plop your ass down.
