Glazed Doughnuts

It was so hard to choose so I just had them give me a random dozen. They are so sweet and friendly from the moment you walk in the door. I definitely want to take the kids here to enjoy a donut. The donuts are so amazing and fresh. My first pick out the box was an apple cinnamon donut. Yummy. I will be back.

I feel so corny for living less that 5 miles away from this place and not even knowing it exsisted!
My out of town friend is the one who saw it and asked had I ever been! (ew makes me feel so gross inside)
I think we came on a saturday morning, the selection had been picked over pretty well, and I had seen a little girl with an oreo donut but didnt see any on display. When I made casual mention of this to my friend, the cashier responded by going in the back and bringing out a fresh batch. Obviously, this was by coincidence they just so happend to be done as I came in, but I didnt direct a statement to anyone, he just heard me and took action, which in customer service is a great thing to do!
I ended up with one Oreo and one Red Velvet. The oreo was so RICH, i could only eat half but it was so delicious. The red velvet never stood a CHANCE! I really prefer cake donuts over yeast and this one was so light and airy I just loved it.
I forgot to mention that after I paid for the donuts (a little less that $ 5) I said I forgot to ask for milk and how much would it cost, they just poured me a cup on the house. TWICE they went out of their way for a FIRST time customer. LOVE IT, will be back to get a couple dozen for my work family in the near future :)

I was there on a Saturday when there was a special event fundraiser, so there was an abundance of fresh doughnuts. They were still baking and fresh doughnut trays were coming out and out. A lot of workers, so they were definitely quick and attentive. There was a long line but they were able to make it move fast.
I got 3 doughnuts: blueberry, yeast glazed, and coconut. The blueberry was huge, fresh, and had a yummy cream cheese icing that was a treat. The yeast was so incredibly soft and sweet. The coconut had a caramel glaze that was a good mix together. I loved each doughnut and was high on sugar!
The only thing that drives me nuts about this place is they don’t label their doughnuts. So you have to ask what every single thing is and it’s not as simple as asking, «Is that coconut?» because they’ll be like, «It’s a doughnut with a salted caramel glaze with grated coconut.» Can you imagine this detailed description happening with every single doughnut? The day I went, they had at least 10 – 15 different doughnuts (or at least it seemed that overwhelming). I had been waiting in a long line and there were a lot of people behind me so I didn’t want to take up too much time. This is why I got my trusted faves: blueberry, glazed, and coconut. If they were labeled, I would’ve been more adventurous and gotten a dozen but I didn’t want to ask and hear about 12 doughnuts.

Great selection and great quality! Staff is very friendly too. Love the variety you can choose from aswell.

I have bought dozens of doughnuts to share with coworkers and splurged on coffee and bagels for myself. Everything is delicious. The customer service is incredible, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for doughnuts.

Got a dozen to celebrate a office-mate’s birthday! They were a hit! Fresh. Tasty. crispy. Amazing! Hands down the best. They give Duck Doughnuts a run for their money– though they don’t make them fresh in front of you– they are fresh that morning.

Okay, here goes: 2 glazed yeast, 1 red velvet cake, and because it was just there staring at me, a cinnamon roll (geez, it’s like cinnabon huge). All for the price of $ 7 and some change. I don’t know if that’s considered pricey… but money well spent!
I’m not much of a cake donut person. Every one I’ve had was just too dense, too dry… always felt like it was sucking the moisture out of my mouth. I’m all about that yeast donut.
So imagine my surprise when I decide to buy the red velvet (really, the red was just so RED. I just had to have it in the box.) and its so DAMN DELICIOUS! What the hell is happening in my mouth?!! It has this nice all around crisp and when you bite into it, you hear the slight crunch only to sink your teeth into soft, pillowy goodness. As I take each bite, I not only think of how awesome this donut is but, «damn, shoulda got 2.»
Sampled the yeast donuts and I dig them too. I appreciate how there is still substance in the donut. Not «air» like KrispyKreme. You know how you bite into a glazed KK and immediately your teeth connects with each other because there is barely anything there to sink your teeth into? Ya, not a fan of spending money on flavored air.
Fabulous job, Glazed Doughnuts! My *ss may not appreciate it as much as my tastebuds but I will be back!
Oh, btw, came in around 845 on Sunday. Line wasn’t too bad, maybe 4 ahead of me with 1 of 4 tables occupied. More variety of cake donuts than yeast with a half tray of cinnamon rolls and a tray or 2 of donut holes.
I’m full. And I just had that one red velvet donut. Geezus.

Really great donuts! I’m usually a fan of yeast donuts over cake donuts. Glazed’s yeast donuts don’t disappoint, but their cake donuts are fantastic! Definitely try the blueberry cake donut! It’s delicious! The Boston cream came in second for us, but really you can’t go wrong. The espresso blend coffee was good. I would have enjoyed a bigger coffee menu, but they haven’t been open long so it’s reasonable to focus on the donuts now. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I’m on vacation, and I went there about 10:30 am for breakfast. They had only a mishmash of two dozen doughnuts of strange toppings. Nothing left worth getting: no glazed or chocolate.
Don’t bother unless you’re out at dawn for breakfast.

Best Donuts in Hampton Roads easy. Go by early because they don’t last long. Support local businesses.

The doughnuts are good. Ridiculously huge, but good. If you get there when they first open they have a nice variety to choose from. But, they sell out quickly.
This is problematic, since they don’t update their social media accounts as often as they should. Some days they write on their FB page that they’re sold out and done for the day. Other days, they do not. It’s happened twice now that I’ve driven from Newport News/​York County to get a doughnut, only to get there and find out they’re closed. It’s annoying.
It’s also annoying that they have a LOT of flavors, and they’re not labeled in the case, nor is there a menu online. They don’t have a menu online, so when you’re there, you have to ask about each flavor, and depending on who is working, they can nicely tell you what they have, or they can be rude about it.

I love these. I had a glazed and a raspberry. They were just right. Not too sweet. The eithopian blend coffee was good too.

I really like this place. The donuts are huge and absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced. I brought a couple dozen to my son’s school and everyone loved them. The staff is also very friendly.
If the owner sees this: Please make a yeast lemon poppy seed donut!

It’s been quite the challenge to find a donut place in Hampton Roads that my family really loves. Our all time fav place is in Richmond, but I’m super happy to report that we found a great option here in Hampton Roads. Glazed Doughnuts has so many options and the flavors are just awesome. I love the white cream filling (not Boston cream, but that’s a personal choice). The prices are higher than what I would regularly pay, but this isn’t a daily indulgence, so I give in to the temptation!

Their cake donuts are THE BEST I’ve ever had. With a few slightly crispy edges and amazing icing/​toppings, you will be hard pressed to find a better donut anywhere. Everything is good here. They are only open til they sell out, so get there early to avoid the crushing disappointment of missing out.

Donuts on steroids! This is a new place with a long time feelthe selection of donuts was large the staff seems very friendly answering many questions of the customers. The plan according to one of the staff is to begin selling breakfast/​lunch. So look out! The joy of good donuts may not last long as they grow into Dunkin Donuts territory

I am far from a purist when it comes to donuts, but I believe if you can make a good cake donut, everything else is dressing a star.
I will not say these are the best cake donuts in the world (if for I have not tried them all), but if you don’t try one you can’t say they’re not.
Recommendation:
GET THE CAKE DONUT!!!: vanilla or chocolate or whatever they have.

Omg the glazed blueberry donuts are so amazing and fresh. They taste like blueberry muffins in a donut. The chocolate glazed ones are amazing as well! And of course the regular glazed are my stand by. There are s ton of fun ones to try too. Like red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. So delicious. Also digging their custom coffee blends. There’s plenty of space to sit and enjoy. Free wifi too! Support this locally owned, family business and get some amazing donuts and coffee to boot!
