Gary D Wright Elementary School

I can’t say enough good about this school.
If you live in the area & are wondering which school to send your child to (since there are a couple options) — this one is a great choice.
The principal is amazing, the staff is great and the PTO puts together great events. My son and I loved our Mother & Son Bowling night, and my daughter simply loves getting all dressed up and going to the Daddy Daughter Dance with her father.
They are very welcoming, yet also keep the building secure.
There’s a lunchroom/​cafeteria, where they also serve hot lunch each day (this is something I didn’t have when I attended schools — at least not until I reached high school). It’s reasonably priced (I think it’s $ 2.50 for the student meal) and it gives the kids a few different options to choose from each day. They even serve breakfast in the morning as well!
The grounds always look nice, and the building is always clean. This shouldn’t be a surprise because even my kids know the janitors. So their presence within the school is well noticed.
