History

Established in 1930.

When the original owner made the choice to move on from Ideal, the second owner came in and also made his stamp in the company. Ideal soon became the largest prom store in New Jersey. He kept the things that Ideal was already known for, coats, sportswear and fashionable products at low prices while starting a whole new era for Ideal. When this respected man passed away, local citizens thought Ideal was going to go out of business. Fortunately, it didn’t.

The current owners took over in May of 2008. Keeping all of the traditions rolling from sportswear to prom and even brought in tuxedo rentals! They also opened a satellite location in Sea Isle City, NJ which is opened during the summer seasons. This small town boutique specializes in everything from bathing suit cover ups, to the perfect black dress for a night out. Ideal is also in the process of opening a 3^rd location in Washington Twp, NJ which will be open all year round. (Expected opening date is Fall 2010)
