Do not buy from these people!!! They are the rudest pieces of garbage in the world! They had the balls to tell my 70 year old mother to go to the eye doctor because she could not find on their crappy website how to plant their blueberries. Then when I called back to talk to the guy, he was too busy to take the call and the girl I spoke to was just as rude!!!

I wish I researched and saw all of the complaints before I ordered!
I received my bushes (much smaller than the ones in photos that were boasted about) with blueberries on them — that is NOT the time to ship/​transplant. they went into immediate shock and were dead within the week.
They responded to no phone messages or emails and ignored a better business bureau request for resolution. I finally spoke with the manager (Called again since blueberry season is over and it is a good time to plant) when I offered to drive 2 hours to resolve the issue so they didn’t even have to pay shipping– he wouldn’t let me speak and said he responded to every email and hung up on me! (which is an absolute lie… you can see my inbox and that they ignore the BBB complaint!)
I own 3 businesses. I would NEVER treat my customers (OR MY PLANTS) they way I have been treated.

I should have looked this company up on Unilocal before purchasing from them. I ordered 50 bare root blueberry plants. The plants were not packaged with enough moisture control. As a result, about half of them never survived planting. I called them to request some form of credit or to ship replacements but the surly lady started reading me the terms of service like a robot. I will NEVER buy from them again.

I was really looking forward to getting my 930 blueberry bushes to start a U-​pick. They arrived, crammed in 4 little boxes and with no labels on them. How am I supposed to know if they’re the varieties I ordered? How am I supposed to be able to tell people what type of blueberry they’re picking?
I called them trying to find out what they sent me, and like all of the other reviews, the lady is very standoffish. She said that I was supposed to asked them to label the plants when I ordered them. WHAT? I have hundreds of fruit trees and grape vines. I’ve never had to ask a company to identify what they’re sending!
Many, many of the plants are broken from being «stuffed» into those little boxes. They really need some better quality control. Well, they lost my patronage and I’ll make sure that none of the other farmers I know in the area order from them.
What a waste of almost $ 3000! Do NOT buy from them!

I won’t rehash the comments posted by other reviewers. They are truthful and accurate and made my wife and I laugh hysterically after picking our jaws up off the ground when dealing with Dimeo Farms.
I never thought that I would have to consult Unilocal to check customer reviews of a local, family run farm business, but in Jersey it seems even farmers can’t be trusted. Well, Dimeo Farms has proven it cannot be trusted.
I’ll skip over my initial conversation with the brat who answers the phone and get to the arrival of our 10 pack of 4 – 5′ blueberry bushes. The bushes were crammed into a small box and had several broken limbs, no dirt on the roots and looked rather sickly. I called to talk to Dimeo about my order and when I asked if I got the wrong shipment, Lindsay shouted, «You got what you ordered.» As soon as I said the bushes measured 16−20″, she sat quietly and Mr. Dimeo picked up another line and shouted over me, saying that I had tortured the business by repeatedly calling about my order. I called exactly twice, once to place the order and the second to find out when I should expect shipment to arrive as the promised 7 – 10 shipment date had passed and I was leaving town for the weekend. Mr. Dimeo then proceeded to rant about how we orchestrated the whole order for our enjoyment and that we didn’t want to order blueberry bushes at all. He then hung up the phone on me twice. The third time I called back and Dimeo was still fuming and said any future correspondence would have to be in writing. My wife then took the phone from me in an attempt to talk the man down but he gave her the same insanely rotten treatment and then hung up the phone on her as well.
I’m so glad we didn’t make an appointment to visit the farm. I’m sure there was a time when one of the Dimeo’s was running the farm with respect for their customers. Unfortunately, that era no longer exists.

Paid $ 340 via mail order for 19 (we were shorted one) dried out, sickly twigs only about 18″ tall. If these things «fruit» like their website promises, it would be a biblical event due to their current condition.
They didn’t return my email message. I didn’t want to call them because the girl who answers the phone was very abrasive in the first place when we called to order. Now I know why they only take checks, appalling business. Should have read their Unilocal reviews first. Live & learn I guess. So much for ordering from a small-​family-​owned business. Appears I was charged $ 138 for shipping, actual shipping was $ 38.

Plant material seems good, guy is very hostile, as reported, «appointment» Is he will get there when He can 20 cars waiting, needs signs how to navigate property, not worth the trip.

I am appalled this nursery is still in business. I have never received such horrible customer service. Shame on me for not doing my due diligence and researching their customer feedback.
In an effort to teach my children about organic gardening, I ordered five, 3-​yr old bushes. I received four. The bushes I received were between 18 and 24″ tall and the kind receptionist let me know they should be 3 – 4 feet tall. So, my issues were twofold and I sent an email inquiry. In my email, I assumed they possibly sent me someone elses package — no harm, I just needed another bush.
I received a phone call where I was so berated by a man that I had to pull over so as not to alarm my children. He was screaming. Sounds dramatic? That’s ironically what he was accusing me of being. I was instantly labeled a dramatic liar. For someone to question my integrity in that way, requires a warning to all who consider buying from this farm.
It got worse from there but I don’t think it merits repeating. I should have seen these other reviews, questioned the cash-​only/​no receipt policy, and looked at the BBB site (
). Also, to note the owner lives in Philly, not NJ. (thank you Facebook) He is not the poor farmer he’d like you to believe.
In the end, find another local farmer to support. There are plenty out there who will appreciate the business.

The product: (Positive)
Actually better than expected based on the Unilocal reviews and BBB rating. They get two stars strictly for the product actually arriving alive. They lost three stars for their poor customer service.
I paid $ 164 for 10, 3-​year old blueberry bushes. $ 64 of that was for shipping, bushes were $ 10 each. Shipped about when I expected it to. They came curled up in a cardboard box about 2 feet long by 1 foot wide by 6 inches high. The roots had no dirt on them, and were packed with some small ice pellets to allow them to melt and water the plant during shipping. The bushes are about 3 feet tall. and just starting to bud for the spring. They are definitely alive and appear to be healthy. I requested they mark the variety of the bushes, but they came marked only «early, mid, late» for the time of season they can be picked.
The Customer Service: (Negative)
The girl that answers the phone is abrupt, and has poor phone manners. Maybe she’s very busy or overworked, or maybe nobody ever taught her how to speak to customers on the phone.
They only accepted a check for payment. They don’t tell you exactly what you will get or when. So it is kind of a leap of faith to order from them.
You can use Facebook to ask questions but they apparently don’t like it. Today when I attempted to ask about varieties of plants they sent me, they asked for my phone number to call me. I gave it to them. The owner DiMeo himself called me. He was immediately very condescending, dismissive and arrogant. I did not attempt to correct him, because I don’t care about attempting to change this man’s behavior. However, he wasted 5 minutes of both of our time telling me how he was too busy to answer questions online and to just call them (I didn’t want to call because their phone rep was not exactly helpful either). Meanwhile, the answer to my question literally took three words, and could have been easily answered online when they had a moment.
The guy really sounds like he has some kind of emotional disturbance, or he’s just really, really bad at talking to customers.
I do not plan to do business with this man again, even if it turns out that the product is good and successful. I do not reward people who have no respect for their customers.
The Unilocal reviews are bad for a reason, as is the BBB rating. Beware.

This farm is not organic. It is fraudulent. I specifically ordered certified organic blueberries with documentation. I put this in writing with my check. The plants arrived without documentation. When I called Dimeo, the owner told me the plants are organic but not certified. Is it legal to advertise them this way? I don’t think so. If they aren’t certified, they aren’t organic. The owner then became abusive and personal. Wow.

Actually it’s 0 stars! Stay away, this company is a mail order fraud that «claims» to send you 3 year old plants that are 4′ tall ten send you 1 year old plants 16″-24″ tall and «explain» to you they had to trim them for shipping?! Impossible that these are 3 year old plants and what Home Depot and Lowes have for $ 10 are far more mature and better value than this scam garbage. The service on the phone by both Anthony and his wife is no less than rude and bullying and they deserve to starve. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY! They mistreat their workers and yell like you would not believe. A new girl was working the phones and you would not believe the way he yelled at her and was condescending to her on the phone where I could hear. The woman, his wife, will listen to you for a minute and when your done speaking goes silent and will not speak until you sau «are you still there?» the shortly thereafter she puts you on hold and never returns even after 15 minutes. These people should be shut down and investigated by the IRS and the New Jersey Attorney General. The BBB has many, many complaints and canot get responses giving them a F rating.

WORST ATTITUDE EVER. We were trying to get information on their wedding venue and they were extremely rude and short on the phone. Telling us that we can’t bring 250 guest because they don’t want that many car on their farm and hung up on us. Never use this place for anything.

I called only looking for six blueberry bushes and was treated very good. I drove to the farm and was met by two men who were busy but stopped what they were doing to help me. The bushes were very nice any were put into the truck for me. I was impressed with the efficency and professional treatment I will be back next year for more bushes.

Crooks Crooks Crooks. I paid 90.00 $ for 6 plants I could have got local for 60.00. They advertise 4 foot tall bushes and I recieved 6 1 – 2 foot tall bushes with a pitifull rootball in a small box. Dont bother calling because they have the worst customer service. Unless you like getting cursed at over the phone.

Zero stars. Appallingly rude — screaming immediately that retail was wasting his time. The website that talks about advice was completely misleading. He didn’t even want to be bothered to sell the plants to us. Very obsessed with ‘cash only’. I wish I had taken a video of his rantings. It’s truly hard to describe how bad it was.

Zero stars. Worst attitude and treatment I have ever had in a transaction. Don’t ask any questions. Don’t expect any answers without an attitude. In farmer’s words «look, I’m a wholesaler, I’m so busy I haven’t even eaten today». Really? That’s my problem how? Sorry to bother you or take a trip to pick up plants. Went there for many more but after treatment and attitude purchased next to nothing… After leaving I wish I bought none and told him to go F himself.

Wow looks like I’m not the only one… I was going give the man on the phone the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to a busy day, but after reading the other reviews it sounds like I caught him on a good day.
I had a whole review planned in my head that started with how I grew up in a family business and I know customer service, blah blah, blah… But the bottom line is the man who answers the phone repeatedly exploding «are you coming here now?» needs a few lessons in customer service or a few smacks, reader can decide.
His arrogance spewed through the phone as he made assumptions about my level of intelligence and ability to remember his pricing and instructions on how to order blueberry plants using his archaic system of mailing checks from buyer to seller. Seriously your website looks like its straight out of the movie 1994 cult classic, «The Net». It can easily accept online orders for and investment of $ 250. You might want to think about it.
As a man in online marketing, born from customer service, I can tell you that; you will need to evolve on all fronts or you will be consumed by your competition. Your competition has the know how to provide an equal quality product, more efficiently and with a smile.
Reciting each reason why I now despise DiMeo Farms is quite pointless, as one would have to live through an interaction with this man in order to fully experience the disbelief that you will ultimately obtain toward the existence of this guys business. You might call me a hypocrite as I’m making assumptions about this man, however logical reasoning points to it being this guys business, as if he were an employee and acted this way he would have been long removed from this company… unless he’s the owners son, which would explain his ability to maintain his employment status.
I know it’s probably not fair to discredit then entire family business, but it’s hard not to feel that way… see paragraph above.
I’m not going to speak badly about your product as I wasn’t able to order them with out a clear conscience, only about the customer service and attitude.
Being from NJ, It’s really unfortunate, as I wanted to patronize another local business… I was looking forward to it.
I’m a big believer in karma, it’s the main reason why I didn’t lash out and lay into this guy… it’s why I gave him the benefit of the doubt only to learn it wasn’t a bad day, it’s everyday for this man. It makes me sad, I feel for your family, it must be hard on them, I know I’d want to help you be better if I were them.

Please be patient reading my review. Like others so much happened in a short time. We thought we had been treated so badly but compared to so many other reviewers he was «nice» to us. This is relative of course.
I used to work for a firm where I asked one of the owners when they gave raises and he spoke to me rudely for the first time «If you do your job you keep your job and if you don’t you don’t.» I had no idea what to say. Anthony Diemo reminds me of this guy.
After looking at the mesmerizing web site, and forgoing our typical customer review search, we called Anthony. My wife called on 9 August and made a tentative appointment for 1PM on 10 August 2013 to pickup 22 trees including 2 pink blueberry trees. I confirmed this by telephone around 8PM on 9 August 2013. On both calls we agreed to the time so it would be after his workers 12 – 1230 lunchtime and he agreed if we were early we could hang out there.
We arrived after our 3 hour drive at 11AM. The gate was closed and I called the telephone number listed on a sign for calling «now.» It was answered, I explained we were 2 hours early and could go eat somewhere and return, and he said he’d send one of the workers out to open the gate. A work ran across the field to open the gate. We hoped considering the heat it was only his way of doing things.
We followed the worker and parked where indicated.
The person I think was the supervisor was helpful and while discussing trees with my wife I asked where the restroom was. He suggested going to the garage and asking. A worker in the garage suggested asking the owner. A voice from the second floor asked «Do you need me?» I answered «I’m unsure if my wife needs you but I’d like to use the restroom.» His response «this is a private residence» just confirming the treatment I’d had a hunch was coming from his telephone demeanor and the nervousness of his workers who kept looking to see if someone was coming. I then walked to the tree line to take a piss, after some service injuries one needs to go often, and he then informed me the neighbors would take pictures and report him to the health department. This is probably true but it also confirmed the neighbors dislike this guy.
By this time we were all together with the workers.
Anthony then started his Flim Flam Man dictation of my wife having tied up 6 of his workers picking trees, the whole thing should take 90 seconds, he had been doing this since he was 16, they were very busy (right, we saw nobody else there), he knew the 6 things (another reviewer wrote them up so I’ll spare you) every buyer wanted, his workers were «stupid robots» that did the same thing every day, he was a millionaire, some other ranting that made little sense, and then directed them to get 22 plants. One of the workers, speaking Spanish as I believe they all did, said something and Anthony told us they were out of pink blueberries, which as you recall he assured us they had plenty of, and «did we want the plants or not?» He then told my wife «You called me. I didn’t call you. Do you want them or not? You are wasting my time. We are very busy. I should be on the phone making thousands instead of talking to you. Do you want them or not?» During all this I was a bit dumbfounded and thought due to my illness, which he knew of but still denied letting me use the bathroom (thanks from all military men and women including the two that visited you), I must be hearing and seeing things. I wasn’t. This is a man that dislikes what he does, dislikes people, and dislikes himself. He was rude to us, to his staff, and I can only assume he is cash only because the credit card firms have had so many filed cases against him he’s been cut off.
His poor business practices and treatment of people is a great reason to STAY AWAY. Anthony if your trees grew $ 10 bills we will never go back. We will tell everyone we know not to buy from you. Based on our review and those of so many others you should get some help man.

Blueberry Hell — Don’t Go There
Not the Blueberry Hill of Fats Domino. You won’t find your thrill at Dimeo’s Blueberry Farm — unless you like being abused. You think Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi is bad? He’s a crème puff next to the man in charge the day we went there.
Well, after doing some research on customer satisfaction, it seems we’ve joined the ranks of blueberry enthusiasts who were drawn in by the Dimeo website and youtube videos, only to be verbally assaulted and driven away, stunned and reeling in a state of utter disbelief over the entire experience of visiting the Dimeo farm.
I don’t even know where to begin in describing the horrible treatment we received. We being: me, 70 yrs old, my 72 yr old husband, our 50 year old organic/​wholefood nutrition counselor daughter and her 21 yr old daughter, an avid ecologist and agriculturalist, recently graduated from Green Mountain College in Vermont. We were so happy to be taking the 1.5 hour drive to Hammonton, NJ to buy 6 «organic, 4 foot, quarter sized blueberry bushes» and had no idea that we would soon be entering the bizarre world of an aggressive, narcissistic, psycho who scoffed at us when we dared to call him on his scary behavior.
It began as soon as we pulled up and parked. There was no designated parking lot so my husband parked in front of a large garage-​like building with 3 bays, all open. It was dark in there, but we could see what appeared to be a group of farm workers standing around a large table. Within seconds a man wearing a camouflage cap and a white T-​shirt emerged with an angry expression and his hands held up like a traffic cop. My husband stepped out of the truck to introduce himself and my daughter was on her way around the truck to do the same. The man, we later learned, was the grandson of the owner. We were still in our collective happy and excited frame of mind. I and my granddaughter were about to get out of the back seat of the truck when this man, with the demeanor of a guerrilla commando, ordered us to «Stop! Everybody get back in the truck!» When my husband tried to explain that we had an appointment the commando said in a mocking tone, «yeah, yeah, yeah» and then, «Just follow me. I’m going to walk in front of your truck and you’re going to follow me.» We did what we were told, looking at each other in disbelief as if we had somehow been hurled into the twilight zone.
We only drove a short distance when «the man» signaled us to stop. My husband got out. I opened my door in the back seat of the truck and said «This seems more like a military compound than a blueberry farm.» He glared at me. It gave me the creeps. He then started asking us what variety we wanted and rapidly recited a list of varieties too quickly for us to comprehend. He handed my husband a sheet of paper with a business card attached which my husband placed on the front seat. We told him we wanted 6 of the 4 quarter-​sized plants that would give us fruit all summer — that’s what the website said we would get for $ 10.00 per bush. You should know that all of this time the man’s expression was one of anger and disgust, his attitude was extremely condescending and his mannerisms intimidating. We thought we would at least be able to pick out our own plants, but even that small pleasure was denied us. The man picked out six scrawny potted plants and asked us brusquely «Where do you want them?» We laughed. Did he think we were going to drive home holding them in our laps?
I reminded him that his website said we would be instructed on the best way to plant and care for the bushes. He sneered at that and said «The time I spent doing that I could be on the phone making $ 25,000.00.» My daughter said, «So much for customer service.» His face went tight and got uglier and in a tone dripping sarcasm he said «Sorry I can’t give you more of myself.» She said, «Oh, that’s okay. I think we’ve had enough of you already.» At that he said «Get of here. And to my husband, «Give me my paper back and get off my property.» My husband reached into the truck, crumpled up the paper and threw it at him. That’s when this psycho pulled out his cell phone and took a picture of our license plate.
As we drove away (without purchasing any blueberry bushes) my granddaughter said «I had less trouble getting through check points in Mexico. Something’s not quite right about this place. There’s a piece missing from this puzzle.»

we purchased 100 «1 year old plants» and 5 «3 year old plants» that were described on the website as 4 ft tall. We were charged over $ 100 for shipping when in fact actual shipping was $ 11. We received plants that varied wildly in size; none were «1 year old plants» as other farmers have seen. the «3 year old, 4 ft tall plants» were not 4 ft tall, but varied from 12″ to 24″ at most. one was dead on arrival, shriveled and small, while the others were alive. none of the plants were marked as to which were which. I ordered ¹⁄₃ early, ¹⁄₃ mid and ¹⁄₃ late producing plants. Who knows which was which? I emailed and left 2 messages and my calls and email were not returned.
