History

Established in 2013.

Carpet Recovery Plus L.L.C. was founded on a simple premise which has sense become our company motto, «Jobs Done With Integrity.»

After working in the field for several years owner/operator Matt Jarnis– IICRC Certified Technician– decided that he could bring his experience, expertise and core values to more homes if he started a family owned business and started small while thinking big.

Matt J is a Boston, Ma native who moved to New Jersey in 2006 after coming here frequently for commercial carpet cleaning accounts for his then employer. On one of those trips, Matt met a young lady from Poland who was visiting America on a temporary visa. Typical Boy meets girl story.

When the time came for Matt’s now wife and mother of their young son to go back to Poland, they both decided to stay in New Jersey, together, and the rest is history.

Matt got a job for a local carpet cleaner and in 2013 he and his wife had a vision of bringing other local families a fantastic service, at a fair price, while keeping every aspect of the company with a small-business, personal feel.

Matt is a IICRC Certified Carpet Tech who personally does each and every job himself.

One would not expect to be ‘wowed’ by the service of a carpet cleaner, but that’s exactly what happened for me. I can’t say enough how impressed I was with Matt and Carpet Recovery Plus!
I called around for a few quotes to get the carpets cleaned in our condo that we rent out. Matt returned my call very quickly, gave us a very fair price, and was able to come out within a couple of days.
Matt was right on time and took great care while cleaning the carpets. We’ve had the carpets cleaned between tenants before, but this is the best they’ve ever looked. There were even a couple of stains that he was able to get out.
Matt is the owner and you can tell thru the personal service you receive. Consider this a ‘sixth’ star for his rating! We will definitely use Carpet Recovery Plus again!!!

Matt is great! He was prompt, polite, and personable. The service was reasonably priced and my carpets look amazing! I have a 4 year old, two cats, and 2 dogs and so, my carpets were stained with juice, marker playdoh, etc! Matt was able to get it ALL out! After he was done my carpets looked and smelled wonderful. My service ended at 10:30am and my carpet was dry by 5pm. Also, he guarantee’s his work and said if any stains returned that he would come out and clean them again for free. (This applies to deep stains which may be in the padding) After the service Matt gave me booties and spot remover. We even had a conversation about my flowerbed. (He was looking for ideas lol) I wholeheartedly recommend this service!

Highly recommend. You deal directly with the owner Matt, (family man running an honest business). Made the appointment over the phone and received confirmation email quickly after. Matt was on time and explained the products and procedure to be used. He made sure to lay down a cover to protect the hardwood floor from the machinery. This is exactly how a small business should run. Efficient, prompt and honest. I have a rug that, over the last 2 years, has a few stains and hidden ‘love spots” from my dog. Matt explained to me over the phone exactly what his process would be for this specific rug and situation. He also gave the price up front (which is very reasonable) and how long the job would take.
The day of the cleaning he was running a little late due to another job running over. He called me twice, gave me updates and showed up exactly when he said he would. Once he got there he got right to work and the whole process took about 30 minutes. He gave it a thorough cleaning and deodorizing, and the carpet looks and smells as good as new.
Matt was extremely personable and friendly. He gave the confidence that he knows what he’s doing and he overall just seems like a good guy. I will absolutely be using him again for any future carpet cleaning jobs I need and I HIGHLY recommend you use him too!

I had squirrels get into my apartment and thus needed carpets and furniture steam cleaned. Matt did an amazing job and I am very particular. From the first conversation where I asked for a quote to the completion of the job he was very pleasant to work with.
For starters I had to reschedule because the squirrel issue was thought to be resolved was not. When I called he was so nice and understanding and was more worried that I still had squirrels then that I was cancelling. The price he quoted me was the price charged. There were no games or tricks and when he was telling me about the packages, I had no idea which to go with, so I explained my situation and waited for his recommendation. He ended up recommending the lowest package for my needs which is refreshing since he could have tried to up sell me but he remained honest.
I highly recommend this company. One last thing, I do not like it when work people are in my house, I get a little anxious in the sense of I want to be there and know what is happening. I was instantly at ease when Matt came in, he is very friendly and personable. I ended up leaving for a few minutes to run next door and had no anxiety about leaving him alone in my home. I have never been comfortable with a stranger like that. So if you are nervous about having someone in your home I am sure you will be put at ease.

Matt was polite and friendly and got right to work. We relocated to PA with 2 young puppies who were stressed from the move. One was house trained the other was not. Needless to say there were lots of stains (urine and vomit). Matt was able to get all of the stains out of all of the carpets and for a good price.

One reviewer said earlier that a sick pet & a hot day prompted a phone call to Matt for a carpet cleaning. I had the same situation, 2 pets & several parties — it was time for a refresher.
Because I have pets, using something that is safe & non toxic is a non-negotiable of mine. Matt went over all of the products he used and showed me the containers so that I wouldn’t worry about my animals getting sick.
Arrival time was exactly as promised, I had two large rooms done and the whole process took about an hour. My carpets look great and he got up and spots I had concerns about. Matt was professional, friendly and quick. He even gave me a bottle of cleaner should my cat have any additional hair ball incidents.

We moved into our new house in Lambertville and wanted to get the carpets cleaned before setting furniture down. I made an appointment several weeks in advance with Matt and he called the day before to confirm and the morning of to let me know he was on the way.
He did an excellent job and was able to remove traffic wear from the stairs and stains from the upstairs rooms. He explained the entire process and gave us some helpful tips on maintaining the carpet.
On top of all this, Matt helped carry some heavy items into our house since we were moving. That was completely above and beyond and a testament to what a great guy he is.
Do yourself a favor, if you need your carpets cleaned in Hunterdon call Matt @ Carpet Recovery Plus! I plan on using him for annual cleanings for a long time to come.

One very sick dog, one hot day, and one broken carpet cleaner is a bad mix! Since it was a weekend I didn’t think I would have much luck getting someone in, and was gearing myself up to go rent one from the supermarket. Then I found Carpet Recovery Plus’ name on Unilocal.I called them and he arranged to be at my house within the hour. He did a greatl job cleaning up after our poor dog. He left the carpets beautiful.
