Our Mission

The dedicated staff of the Veterinary Care Center makes every effort to understand the concerns of each individual and to treat all patients as if they were our own. We appreciate the trust you place in our judgement and experience and assure you in return the highest level of integrity and compassion. Communication between client and staff is of utmost importance to us. We understand the value of the human/​companion animal bond. We will provide preventative, supportive, and comprehensive loving care during all stages of your companion’s life. You and your pet will always receive the quality of personalized care available only from a small family-​oriented practice.

History

Established in 1995.

The Veterinary Care Center of Mercerville, NJ provides personalized care for your pet at all stages of their life. From inception in 1996, the Veterinary Care Center has made many changes — all to help serve our clients and patients to the best of our ability. Under the ownership, leadership, and guidance of David Horn, VMD, we strive to offer our clients the best possible care. We are a small family oriented hospital that enjoys one-​on-​one interactions with our clients and patients. Dr. Horn care for dogs, cats, as well as your exotics and pocket pets including hamsters, guinea pigs, and reptiles, etc.

Business Owner

Dr. Horn graduated from Penn State as an undergraduate in animal biology science, and he went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He established the Veterinary Care Center in 1996 and has continued his great patient care for over 15 years. He lived in Pennsylvania and several locations in New Jersey before settling with his wife and daughter in New Egypt. At home, he is in good company with his adopted dog, a hound mix named Gibson. As well their two cats, Cheddar and Colby. In the yard, he visits with the family’s two horses, Max and Mr. B, and his miniature donkey Thurston.
