If I could give a –5 star I would. The worst experience considering the customer service and options to buy based on advertisement. I came there a year ago, looking for two pair of glasses for a promotional price. After choosing from not such a pretty offer of frames(for the price offered) I settled for two that fit my face. The exam with the doctor was frankly akward. Not only did she not introduce herself to me, she didn’t even tell me what my vision was, and she acted like she was annoyed that I was there, all while chewing gum with mouth open. so much for professionalism. Also, I made an appointment for 9am to get my vision checked, but when I got there, they told me the doctor is not in until 10. Um, then why am I here so early, to waste time??? anyway, after some time, the manager took over for the payment. After yawning in front of me for good 10 times(it’s was already 1pm, I should be the one yawning, since I wasted 4 hours in the store), she tells me the total is $ 400(about that price). I ask how is that possible, and she explains it’s because I have a high vision and they need to make special glass for that. Nobody told me that. The manager, Marquita, was the one helping me find the frame(‘two for 69.99′), she should have told me the price is going to be high once she saw my vision description. As I was thinking what to do, her gestures were showing that she was rushing me. So uncomfortable. When I finally got my glasses, I started to wear them as often as I could, but I’d have such bad headaches from both of them, I could only wear them for 30min around the house. after couple months, I bring them in and ask to check my vision again. The doctor, some new girl, of course, doesn’t introduce herself to me, nor tells me my vision. Since I moved to a different town, they tell me I could pick the glasses up at location close to me. I waited for 5months to get a phone call. Noone called me. Finally I call the Hamilton location today, they said that the glasses are lost in transition. Did ANYONEMINDTOCALLME? I paid almost $ 200 for them. Now they want to give me a free pair, but, they might not have the frame that I had before. I can’t wait to see what bull will they give me now. If something goes bad again, idk, I might file a complaint at Consumer Protection State agency. It’s ridiculous.

3rd appointment cancelled because no doctor available. After reading reviews I take it as a blessing.

I’m being somewhat generous here since I have little to no experience in buying glasses. I did buy one pair for reading at a well know competitor of theirs, and will probably use that business again when needed. But today I brought a relative here because he has used them before and was happy with the price. That seems to be their selling point. The catch is that they send out for the lenses and it takes a week on average to get them back. This location is clean and well stocked on frames, though I’m not sure if popular brands are represented. The staff was friendly but a little inexperienced. Do I need to restate the old expression, «you get what you.,.»

Great experience. The staff was super-nice, accomodating, and found my records readily. The wait wasn’t long, they’re efficient, and that was great that their systems synced my profile. The optometrist showed me that a previous eyeglass exam was 20/30, and she corrected it.

So glad I found this site — if I can save one person from America’s Best, I will have done my job. I am complaining about the America’s Best at Independence Plaza near Trenton, NJ. But actually, it sounds like they are all run the same. My MAJOR complaint is the bait and switch — my son and I went in for the $ 69 special, and I left having spent over $ 250. AND the woman, while running my card, never gave me the total — I noticed it when I checked my receipt upon leaving. Same stuff — you need this, tried to tell me that PART of the eye exam you had to PAY for(not free like ad says), son NEEDED special lenses(NOHEDIDN’T!) AND the worst part was the blonde woman who thought she was funny and she is just RUDE. We made it clear that my son was planning on just taking his prescription and going on line and getting the glasses he really wanted — we made that clear from the beginning. She was so slow in checking us out(about an hour just adding everything and putting it into the system, and complaining TOUS about other customers — real professional) that at the end when we asked AGAIN for my son’s prescription, written out, we were informed that the doctor had LEFT. We insisted she give us his prescription, and she rudely said, «What’s the big deal? We’ll mail it to you.» Well, the big deal is we had wanted it from the moment we walked in, and told everyone that! I will never walk in there again, except to pick up the overpriced crap we bought. And please — if you own this franchise, or are in charge, please contact me. You know who I am. i was so angry about everything yesterday i had to leave the store and had my son finish up. You people are just RUDE. yes, Blondie, I mean YOU. You think you are funny, and you are NOT. You KNEW all we wanted was that prescription in hand — why did you act so indifferent to us when we asked for it? And WHY do you guys THRIVE on the bait and switch? Does anyone leave having paidf $ 69.95? I think not. Let’s see if I get a call after a week for my glasses — other sites say you people NEVER call, some say it takes three weeks. We’ll see. Oh, and I am sending a letter to the BBB and to corporate. you guys really are terrible.
