Part thrift store with the usual used household goods(plates, glassware, suitcases, fabrics, and more), part convenience store, and yet another part hardware store — this place does it all and then some. In downtown Hamburg, the small center of a relatively large town for the area, this place carries your basic needs from office supplies to hair clips, but also sports eclectic touches like an entire section devoted to model cars or the bags of classic candies sitting out front when you enter. Looks like they’ve even got a space for ice cream for when the weather gets hot! The owner is very friendly and his mellow black dog sits next to him behind the counter, it seems, every day. I actually came to get my watch’s batteries replaced, and he even can make key copies, too. Admittedly, even the new merchandise has a rather dated feel. It’s just that kind of store, where you can bask in the incense of nostalgia around every corner.
