It’s out of the way but because of that it’s not crowded. Don’t let that fool you they have really good food and nice rotating selection of beer. I recommend the shrimp taco app and the jadori chicken entrée. They have flights of beer so you can try out some new ones.

This unassuming restaurant in a strip mall is easily one of the best restaurants in the Ham Lake/​Blaine area. It’s small and cozy with incredible food and good service. Couple these items with the fact that my husband and I live about 5 minutes away and we have visited T-​Box around a dozen times in the past 6 months. Our one regret is that we didn’t find this gem right away when we moved to Ham Lake. Although a bit pricey, the quality ingredients that are used make the prices worthwhile. The one qualm I have is that a house salad used to come with an entrée which just changed. Now you have to add an additional $ 4 to add a house salad which makes the overall value not quite as good as it was before. Below are some of the favorites of the things my husband and I have tried:
Grass Fed Bison Tenderloin: This is far and away my favorite item on the T-​Box menu. The bison is always a quality piece of meat and the white cheddar polenta cake is easily the best polenta I have ever had in my life. Do yourself a favor, and order it.
Thick-​Cut Ribeye: My husband always gets this and requests for it to be cooked pittsburgh style (rare in the middle, with a great char on the outside). The kitchen is always able to support this request and the red wine compound butter that comes on top of the ribeye makes it an incredibly rich dish.
Sirloin Steak: The gorgonzola cream sauce that comes with this steak is a total winner and one of the reasons why I like it.
Fire Cracker Shrimp: Although a little on the pricey side ($ 16 for 6 shrimp seems high), the dragon sauce combined with the habanero aioli are an absolutely incredible combo with a great kick.
Truffled Fig and Bacon Woodstone Pizza: It looks like this item has changed on their menu and the new option is now with apple instead of fig, but the old fig option was absolutely sinful. It was perhaps the best pizza I have ever had in my life with subtle truffle flavors combined with fig, onions, gorgonzola and pancetta — a total winner!
All in all, my husband and I will keep returning to T-​Box. We actually had the pleasure of eating here on Valentine’s day and got to try out their special steakhouse menu which was fantastic as well. If you live up in this area, or you don’t, you should definitely try T-​Box out!

I stumbled upon this place while looking for a drink and a lunch. So glad I came in! From the outside it doesn’t look like anything special, but it’s quite classy inside. Fireplace and brick work, nice lighting. Just the right size. Big wine selection. The bartender was very nice and attentive. I had the goat cheese panini and it was amazing!

Boyfriend suggest we check this place out since he always sees it on his way to the gym. So tonight was the night. Very small, cozy place. We sat at the bar and was greeted right away by an awesome server (Kerry) who knew his stuff about beer! BF and I each ordered an IPA that the server suggested and it was amazing! Can’t remember the names of them. I usually can’t stand IPA’s but I guzzled this one down. Onto the food. I ordered chicken nachos and bf ordered a steak burger? My nachos were good, I only had like 6 pieces of chicken on there but there was this habanero aioli that was drizzled on top… Deeeeeliscious! Bf scarfed his burger down, I took a bite it was really good, the fries that came with them were perfect! Overall, good time, good food, great service, will return!

Went there this afternoon around 130. There was 1 girl working. She took our drink orders right away and we didn’t get them for 40 minutes! She was new and didn’t know the ins and outs of things. We order a bacon app and it was very under cooked. Once the manager (im guessing) showed up things picked up quite well. We loved our main courses. They need to properly staff, especially a new person should not be alone! Don’t know if we will go back

This wasn’t a bar & grill. It was foodies dream, high end bistro at mid level fare. We had the most AMAZING Crab Cakes, followed by a pastrami Ruben that blew my socks off. Unconventional, sweet and incredibly flavor filled. The steak burger was better than many ribeyes I’ve had. We don’t live nearby, but we’ll be back for dinner on our next trip. Lunch was to die for. Great Scotch selection and the draught craft beer selection is spot on!

I live really close to the T-​Box so I’ve been there at least a couple dozen times. The food is always excellent and the service is always pretty good. The beer selection nearly always has something appealing to me and the atmosphere is to my liking. With all those positives, and I’ll always likely return because I enjoy the food, there are some items that leaving me wanting more.
First, the menu hasn’t changed for a long long time — so I’m having a hard time returning when I’ve tried everything on the menu at least once or twice. There used to be specials on some nights, but those are apparently gone. The staff turnover recently has left no one I know around any longer which, while it hasn’t affected service too much, has affected my connection with the place.
However, compared to Bricks, I’ll go here without protest and you would need to drag me to Bricks with all the recent poor experiences I’ve had at the latter.

Great hidden gem! My husband and I are here about once a month. Great place to grab dinner and glass on wine after a long week. It’s not your typical «Northern Suburb» restaurant. Food is wonderful and its different than other restaurants around them. Big thumbs ! I recommended the salmon, yum!

Wow, who knew such a gem existed in the north metro. We ordered the Brisket Tacos, Scallops and Bison Tenderloin. The scallops ranked right up there with some of the best we have enjoyed throughout the country with a very tasty risotto. The tacos were tasty with a little heat, and the Bison tenderloin was prepared to perfection. I was also pleasantly surprised to find Millstream Beer available, which is brewed in one of our favorite places, the Amana Colonies. The server was knowledgeable and witty. The experience wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Cozy atmosphere & the food was great! It’s so nice to have an option for dinner that isn’t a chain. Prices are reasonable & the service was tentative & friendly.

We found this place after disc golf in ham lake and it was superb! Tacos are to die for! The menu is so unique, and yet very affordable. So yummy and the staff was really friendly. Plus as a bonus if you go next door to the liquor store they give you a discount with your receipt from dinner! Will definitely go here again.

Friendly service. A menu that goes beyond the usual but not too far! Very clean environment with lots of wood. Nachos were yummy, the home made chips a star. Beer flight, dinner and dessert all winners. Overall very hospitable with great food. Happy to come back!

Amazing food, atmosphere, and drink selection. The service was just average but the great food made up for it. The beer cheese soup was great.

This small elegant yet comfortable is the best local hangout on the northern burbs. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. The Bison is a never miss and difficult not to order every time we dine there.

Excellent food. Server was great. Tomato Basil soup exceptional. I had the shrimp tacos, gourmet quality. Friend had Cobb salad. Said it was great, couldn’t finish it all. Excellent chefs behind those kitchen doors. We will go back with an empty tummy and full wallet.

Suprised more people were not in this place for lunch. I’ve only been once but I ordered the Turkey Bacon Fig for lunch with the side of fruit and it was excellent as was the presentation. Service was great also. I will be back, great job!

This is a beautiful restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. The waitress who served us joined right in with our sense of humor and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and very well-​prepared. My husband had the white fish special and I enjoyed the box burger. They were both prepared just right and were amazing. Crème Brûlée was delicious, as well.

I went here and had a beer. The have a long list of wine and a decent amount of choices of beer. The restaurant is very pretty and has an intimate feel. My only complaint would be that I was there are 10:15 on a Friday night and they were in the process of closing (putting chairs on the tables, etc.), and so I didn’t stay long.

Stopped with the parents for lunch a couple weeks ago. Shrimp tacos mom had were tiny and good. Philly style pork looked good. The cheese steak had small and somewhat tough pieces of meat, yummy mushrooms and onion not many peppers or much cheese sauce, there needed to be more of everything on it to justify the city price in Ham Lake. The fries were the best hand cut I’ve had that were not gross but crispy (twice fried?). Jicama slaw was nice. I’d go again and try more of the menu. Oh, the parents both had dessert and the crème brûlée is very good-didn’t taste the stout cake. Neither the chairs nor booths are padded, just hard and wooden. I started at a 3 star, this is a soft 4, not sure if «Yay! I’m a fan» is accurate after one visit.

The T Box Burger is The best! We had Billie for our server. She was amazing. I recommend Tuesday close to close. The Box Burger was delicious. I can’t say I loved the Jerk chicken burger because it had less than a kick of jerk sauce. The jicama slaw was a little better than meh.
Bottom line: Box Burger & Billie for your server.
