The only complaint which isn’t even really a complaint is that it take a little longer than expected to get your order.
The food is fantastic! I haven’t tired the chicken patties yet, but the popcorn chicken is on point. They have the best philly’s with mushrooms peppers onions and lots of flavor. I always try to add avocado to mine if they have it. This is my go to lunch in the area right now. I’ve also had both their special burgers there (Kim’s & Mom’s) and they were excellent. I’ve also had the catfish which was good and their coleslaw has more vinegar and less mayo which makes coleslaw something I enjoy. The fried mushrooms are delicious but huge!

Not healthy. Not by a LONG shot. But, you already knew that, didn’t you :)
The menu on the outside of the building is not accurate, as when I asked for corn or an extra side of texas toast, the guy looked at me like I had two heads. I was hungry so I ordered the 5 piece chicken cutlet meal. I had NO idea that the chicken cutlets were so darn big! Consider a chicken breast (whole) that has been pounded flat, seasoned, breaded and fried. Now consider five of those. Yeah… shocking. I just managed to eat one and a half of the cutlets and let it go at that. For the price, the sheer quantity of food you receive is ghastly. The cutlets themselves were better than any fried chicken/​chicken tender place I’ve eaten at in DFW… crazy right? I’m not sure what they seasoned the meat with, but it was amazing. Now, the fries, etc… not dazzling, and neither were the mushrooms. But they certainly nailed the chicken.
I’d recommend Kim’s, just be aware of the neighborhood.

My family and I LOVE this place. We moved to Texas recently and was temporarily in Haltom City. We did an «adventure» day and landed there for lunch. We are now in Dallas but still drive out to get our Kim’s fix. Great food, fabulous prices and you can’t beat the hospitality.

Great food hot fresh and the people are so friendly if you can make it here by 11am-​2pm the lunch specials are so filling and yet not to harsh on anyone’s budget. 4.99 for 2 chicken tenders 2 pieces of deliciously golden fried catfish cole slaw and hush puppies. And yes that’s all on one platter! Burgers and even a Philly Cheese sandwich is offered here (chicken or steak) Hands down one of Haltom City’s hidden gems. If you have any room left which I did not they offer FROYO (frozen yogurt) cone .99 sm cup 2.99 and Lg cup 3.99 with gourmet toppings like Belgian waffle and New York cheesecake. The building is older the seating is limited but this place is worth the small drive to enjoy a well cooked filling and delicious meal.

I absolutely love the chicken patties here! They are not like your everyday normal chicken tenders that you can get anywhere. The flavor and crispiness of the patties are well seasoned and tasteful. This type of place is probably not the kind of place you go to get burgers so I highly recommend getting the chicken patties, catfish and their sides.
This hole in the wall place use to be my to go to spot after school. I’m extremely happy that they are still around, still providing great friendly service as always and of course their consistency in their food. I will continue to be their devoted customer as long as this place stays open!

Kims seafood. A great place to eat. We mostly take out. Service fast, friendly and with a smile. Best chicken tenders/​chicken sauce… Catfish thin and extra crispy… Chicken patties not like they sound, crispy and oh sooo good. The egg rolls crispy, big and full of cabbage. Chicken fried steak served with mashed potatoes, gravy and wonderful cole slaw. Beef teriyaki tasty, more cabbage than beef, which I prefer. Those are my favorites. If you haven’t tried one of those you are missing out on some wonderful food. Oh yes the fried rice chicken and shrimp… love them both… Can you tell I am a frequent flyer?! Happy eating, see you there!

Idk where 5 star ratings came from, but do not be mislead. This converted dairy Queen rates no higher than a 3, generously. Food was greasy and burger was soggy. I will not return, bad choice folks.

This place while always having customers, (locals i think) should be busier than it is. The food isnt ground breaking, but its good, clean tasting and always well constructed. Ive never had anything sloppily put together here. Its very consistent and tastes great at a great value. Their quality is above the price you pay for the food. If you’re in the area, drop by you wont be disappointed (unless you are expecting a michelin star meal).

came here in middle school like everyday. original owners were sooo amazing and nice! we would play killer there for hours and they would bring food out to us for free. like whenever they created something new theyd say heyyy try this! this def felt like a great place to study, watch tv and hang out with friends. lucky middle school kids these days.
ALWAYS GET THE CHICKEN PATTIES. maybe thats just preference but the patties just have way more flavor than tenders. im allergic to seafood but my friends say the catfish is great! nice and juicy.
they give you gravy and this spicy sauce, try to get tartar sauce, it just makes is tastes so fresh!

My friends and I we all tried different things and we all think everything is good here! the only thing I dont like is that it’s in the ghetto and it’s out of no where! there’s nothing by it and it’s so far from everything!
