The gym is perfect for getting in shape. One of the biggest perks about this facility is that it is never too busy. There hasn’t many been times when I’ve had to wait to use a machine or equipment. The individuals that work out here are all about there business. I never really notice anyone talking or socializing. The place is clean and very up to date.

Terrible gym just got the worst reception. Wanted to try this gym but owner start yelling at me. Gym looks dark, very dirty, smells bad, really bad energy. The the ugly fat bold smelly owner who seats at receptions gives everyone dirty looks whoever passing by. Worst gym I ever been at. Parking is also really bad…
Also looks like pace have rusty dirty nasty old equipment, expensive, poor classes.
But the worst thing is people in the gym. Hate stereotype but looks like mostly trailer trash/​rednecks/​tattooed muscle heads with third grade education.

Will never join this gym! Equipment is old, and wobbly! They even allowed someone into the gym with a «service dog» (aka small chihuahua) which the dog was sitting on the machines not in a bag. So disgusting!!!

WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. This place is a scam!!! I had a month to month membership and I decided to end it after a month because the gym in general didn’t meet my needs. After signing and canceling the membership I find out months later that they want to take me to collections even though I haven’t stepped foot into the gym after I ended the contract. THIS PLACE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU JUST GO TO ANOTHER GYM

I took a Zone class at this gym and it was very good. The class was pretty intense, I have taken crossfit, and Insanity and I can definitely compare the class to those. I was surprised with how many calories I burned just from the one session. When the class was over I burned over 700 calories. I liked that the class was fast paced and although an hour long the time went by fast. By far my favorite part of the class was the kickboxing, It was fun but DEFINITELY a great work out! I highly recommend taking the Zone, this class is sure to show you fast results if you are committed.

Nice gym, but some of the equipment needs updating. Other than that I was able to stick to my fitness schedule while on vacation. The day pass is a bit pricey. $ 50+ for two people for a couple of hours.

Contradictory Review
This is only my third week at this gym and I couldn’t be more pleased. The staff seems friendly and Almost all of the equipment has been replaced. Brand new cycling, treadmills, rowers etc… 4 out of 5 stars are given because of the 3 tier pricing. The difference between tier 2 and tier 3 is the Zone training. The Zone training is really cool and works the crap out of you! But the pricing differential is a bit overrated.
I live less than 2 miles away and will enjoy the convenience of a close location but I am not sure how long I will keep the tier 3 pricing if it stays at that rate.
Wish I had more friends in the area to work with me. They would love it! The boxing is a nice added touch to a great calorie burning workout!

Terrible customer service! I came in wanting to try the gym out before committing to a membership. They would not let me because I am from out of town, even though I am visiting for a month and was considering getting the month-​long membership. I was thinking of singing up here because it’s close to where I am staying and I can walk there. They charge $ 23 for a day pass and have the worst equipment of any gym in the area!

I attempted to put my membership on hold as I will be out of town for a couple months… I have no contract — paid 1^st & last month upfront & membership is month to month, as I travel often. I was lied to & threatened! Most unprofessional service imaginable! If you’re not Russian, this probably isn’t the place for you… I’m ashamed to say it, but it sadly is the truth in this instance!

I joined in 2011 for a few reasons: because I lived just down the street on the beach, which meant I could walk here from my house; because the website stated that FREE Childcare was included with the membership; because group fitness classes were included with the membership and the membership was affordable. At the time I joined, I paid about $ 300 for the year.
I went to the gym and did a tour. Yes, it is dark and has older equipment but I didn’t care about the equipment. I have a full gym in my house anyway, what I cared about was the Childcare and group fitness. I had three you g children at the time, and it wasn’t practical to workout at home and watch them. I had completed the P90X program and wanted something that was more challenging.
My first disappointment was that Childcare was NOT included with the membership as the website had claimed. In fact, it was $ 2 per child, or $ 6 every time I worked out. If I came multiple times, I had to pay multiple times. I decided to stay and pay for Childcare.
The trainers were great. The classes were fun and effective, I found myself looking forward to the classes each day. Most of the trainers have left by now, only a few good ones remain. Every now and then they hire good trainers but can’t keep them for very long. Same with members. There are a very small handful of us who have been members for this many years.
Fast forward to present day. I now have FOUR children (had another baby) and am still a member, paying for my membership outright for the year. The membership fee has increased and the reasons for being a member have decreased. One day I was working out and I looked at the door to the Childcare room and it was a notice that said «effective Monday we will no longer offer Childcare.» This was on Friday. No one bothered to tell me about it or send an email, nothing at all.
The schedule for group fitness has drastically been reduced. You used to be able to do two consecutive classes, now it is mostly yoga or trendy dance themed classes. The good classes at you’d actually want to take come at an additional fee. $ 10 per class. You pay for your membership that includes fitness classes, then they charge you for the classes.
This place has drastically gone downhill in the last few years. I only keep my membership because it’s already been paid in full and I live down the street. However, I have already started looking for a new gym. I hate writing this review because at one time this was one of my favorite places.

This is your neighborhood gym, and I am so glad it is not a huge corporate gym. The staff has always been pleasant, it is clean, and they have a ton of equipment. I love the variety of classes they offer, especially the yoga and cycling! They have a great bar for protein shakes.
Wifi is fast, I can bring my iPad and stream Netflix or Hulu without a problem, while on the cardio equipment. They have a variety of cardio equipment, and asides from New Years, I have NEVER experienced a wait for the cardio equipment. Your fellow gym goers are easy going, and always willing to spot.
The weights might not be brand spanking new, but if that is what your concerned about, then you wouldn’t fit in here.
To put it simply… It is clean, a variety of classes, plenty of equipment, fast wifi, plenty of parking, and convenient to those living in Hallandale.

I have been to a lot of gyms in this area and Premier is the best! They have 2 floors of equipment from free-​weights to machines and plenty of cardio equipment. The gym has always had a lot of classes but has just added some additional TRX and Power Plate classes. The staff at the front desk are always knowledgeable and nice and the gym is always clean. I love working out here! If you are new to the area I definitely recommend this gym above any other in the area.

I love this place … clean, friendly, proffessional and great classes. If you are a prissy chick who needs to get done up before you grace us with your presense as you saunter on the treadmill, This may not be the gym for you. This is not a fancy place, but its loaded wih everything a serious fitness enthusiast needs. Knowledgeble staff excellent teachers, great classes!

I joined Premier Health & Fitness in late December of 2012. Mostly because I work in the same building so it’s very convenient. I see two reviews here that mention the old equipment. If using the latest and the greatest equipment is of dire importance then you may not be happy with Premier. I, on the other hand, am a big believer in old school gyms. I could do without the glitz and glamour, bells and whistles and new equipment found in many of the new gyms. I prefer a dungeon. I’ll take old, durable equipment that actually works as opposed to newer equipment that is made to break. The spin classes are awesome and the gym has two floors, so it’s rarely ever so crowded that you can’t even move. Premier gets an «A» in my grade book!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I joined this gym because it is literally 3 minutes away from my house. When I joined in September 2012 they told me they were about to get wifi, 4 months later still no wifi. The machines are old and out dated and the gym smells funny. I decided to continue my membership because of the convenience of the location but it was one thing after an other that made me cancel my membership. The staff is very nice but totally disorganized there was fraud done to the CC I had on file with them (The gym had nothing to do with the fraud) in Nov and I called them 3 days before they had to charge my card to let them know the card was cancelled and was going to be declined. I passed by the day before my card was supposed to be charged and I paid my membership fee cash. 3 days later i go to work out and they tell me that I had a balance because i was charged a decline card fee. I spoke to the girl in the front, explained my situation and she said that she will waive the fee for me. A month went by and still the fee was not waived. I called and tried to speak to a manager several times before the date that my card had to be charged again and of course no one returned my call. I went back 2 days before my card had to be charged again in Dec and I told them that I wanted to continue doing business with them and wanted to give them my new card number but I refused to pay the decline fee because I advised them in advance that there was fraud done to me and my card was going to be declined and I paid my membership fee on time so I shouldn’t be charged the fee. I also told them that i would only give them my new card number if they guarantee me the decline fee would not be charged. Finally I spoke to the manager and she said just to pay the membership amount cash and she would take care of the decline fee. Since she couldn’t waive the fee right then and there so I paid my Dec membership cash. Well Jan comes along and guess what? I have 3 declined fees although I paid my membership cash for 2 months. I don’t even know how it got to 3 fees. I called numerous times again and no one had the decency to return my call I finally spoke to a nice guy and threatened to cancel my membership he was very apologetic & said he would take care of the fees and indeed he did. He called me back within 10 minutes and said everything was taken care of and I gave him my card number. They day my card had to be charged which was a Sunday I look at my account and there is no charge from the gym so I call the gym and speak to the same guy and tell him they haven’t charged me he checks my account and says that the visa card was charged, that maybe it wasn’t showing up because it was Sunday and the bank doesn’t update the records. So 2 days pass by and still no charge on my card. I call the gym again and speak to a girl and ask her to check my account to see if I have a balance she says I owe them the membership amount + a decline fee. I was like WHAT!!! I gave you guys my card info already. I was in disbelief in how unorganized this gym is. I cancelled my card right away because who knows where my credit card info is. This is sensitive information if he didn’t enter it in the computer where did it go? Anyways these guys have horrible service, old machines and high rates. $ 42 a month and theres not even wifi or TVs on the machines. Please do not give this gym business all your gonna get out of it is frustration. I recommend you to join 24 hour fitness or LA fitness or any other mainstream gym. They are worth the drive.

One star for spinning classes because they have the best music! And amazing, funny teachers. So they get one star, if not more.
Otherwise, the gym is very old and dirty, most of the machines are very dirty, rusty and squeeky. It was «fun» to work there, laughing out loud, as these machines kept squeeking and making all kinds of weird noises. Some of them were so old and rusty that they looked like «just pulled out of Titanic ship». You also have to pay for towels there (most of the gyms provide you with free towels) and their changing rooms are looking little odd. Anyways, I saw a cleaning lady working there all the time (cleaning machines), however, she was working in a very slow, bored motion.
