Nice restaurant, local specials, nice ambient, friendly service and a good place for an inexpensive lunch.

OK the ribs are awesome but if u go here do not let them seat you in the back area, that’s where they seat all the loud ghetto assholes, food is delicious but I’ve been seated in the back area twice, both times on Fridays and Saturday nights, it was extremely loud and ghetto as hell, even some of the servers go around clapping and hyping the place up, ?! Like it’s a club or something, yah I don’t get it either, stay as close to the bar area as possible! I can’t go back, no way, might as well go to a ghetto club. Again food is good but by far the worst atmosphere I have experienced, not all the servers are ghetto hoodrats, some are, a lot of the patrons here are just plain ghetto, I’ve had good night’s by the bar tho,

I am a fan of this chain, especially their Deerfield Beach and Weston locations. A few nights ago my sister and I stopped in here for a very late dinner. We were both tired and cranky from a very long day and night visiting someone at a nearby hospital. We just wanted a quick dinner before we had to make our way home. We probably arrived after 10pm on a Monday night. The outside bar had a few people and the country music was pretty loud. The hostess seated us immediately and I noticed that the inside bar as well as the restaurant was busy. I was surprised how busy they were because it was pretty late on a Monday night. Our server introduced himself and brought our sodas pretty quickly. We went back and forth between a few things, but in the end we decided to share an order of Potato Skins and Joe’s Rockin Rib Rolls($ 9.99). I don’t remember the price of the Potato Skins but they were very inexpensive. Maybe the cook was having an off night, maybe he was new, or maybe this location just serves everything on the burnt side, I really don’t know. Our Potato Skins were a little burnt, but I actually like them crispy, so I was fine. I normally would have sent them back because there was very little cheese on them but because both my sister and I were exhausted we decided to eat them as is. They tasted good, but I have had much better at other Flannigans locations. The Rockin Rib Rolls were inedible. They are basically egg roll wrappers stuffed with rib meat, pulled pork, cheese, onions and then fried to golden perfection. We did not receive anything close. It was late and we were both exhausted we just wanted to quickly eat and leave so we opted not to send them back. I am sure if we did, they would have made us another batch. Our server was good and checked on us a few times. When he was clearing our dishes he did ask if we wanted a box to take home the Rib Rolls. We declined and mentioned that they were overly cooked to the point that they were inedible. He asked us if we wanted anything else but we just wanted to pay and leave. He brought us the check and surprisingly he did not remove the charge. Granted we didn’t ask him to do this, but a good server really shouldn’t need to be asked. Just my opinion. I probably won’t be returning to this particular location because it’s far from where I live. And if I am in the area again, I will pick another restaurant. Gulfstream is right across the street, so there are many other options to grab a quick meal. I like Flannigans. I think they have good food at reasonable prices. But as I found out, some locations are better than others.

Just got back from this restaurant. On super bowl Sunday. The waiter was nice at first. Then after a few hour she just dropped the check. Out of no where. We felt rushed and unwelcome. Yeah super bowl Sunday everyone wants a table I thought. But that wasn’t the case, our waiter was just cut from her shift, but she didn’t explain that to us. however she was just walking back and forth through our table. I thought lets just pay her and get out of here. My date refused to leave. Our beers was still full. But we ended paying her and then she told us. «if you need anything else someone will be with you». Guess what… No one came. We waited 20min on a table we were rushed out of. Then I saw the manager near the bathroom and I tell him what has happened. And still no one helped us. My date was upset. So I when back to talk to a manager. He wasn’t there .that’s when I saw another waiter the one it was supposed to help us he give me some attitude like I was doing something wrong. He ended coming to our table and taking our drinks order. Then I noticed him talking to his coworkers about us. Not nice, will never come to this flanigans again this is a disgusting behavior.

Dammit, Flanigan’s! Is this how you treat beautiful people? This restaurant might as well be managed by gargoyles. I honestly think statues of winged monsters could do a better job at managing a restaurant and treating their customers well. I’ve been drinking beer out of your dirty glasses and eating undercooked food for too long. Do I want irritable bowels? No, but I do appreciate cheap drinks and a cheap lunch special. It was a sacrifice I made but today you lost a regular customer. We ordered Rum and ginger-ales. A dog off the street could jump on a counter, accidentally knock over bottles of liquor and get closer to an accurate cocktail than what we received. It took three tries to get a rum and gingerale that was drinkable. The 2nd rum and gingerale I got had lipstick all over the glass. Are there hookers in the back that taste test the drinks before they get sent out? I say hooker because there was glitter in the lipstick. While we negotiated terms to get the drinks we ordered, the wings we ordered at the beginning took over an hour to get to our table. Oh and they were hairy. What the actual shit is that? Is there a shirtless neanderthal inspecting the dishes before they go out to the tables? That’s the only possible explanation for the dumpster quality food. You should at least make it mandatory for all shirtless employees to wear a hairnet. Flanigan’s gets 1 hairy neanderthal out of 5. The worst part was the manager shrugging off all the problems and offering a free dessert for our problems. Do you think a free dessert would help the native Americans forget the trail of tears? Not for the Booty!

Such a shame that his great place has rude hostesses. Waiters and waitresses are nice, but they seem to be in a hurry all the time, even when you are ordering, they try to rush you. In less than 7 min I was asked about my order. I came to relax and have a good time and they are always stressing you out. Anyway, kudos for the waiters, food and drinks! Hope they change the rude hostesses :(

We visit Tamarac location at least monthly and are never disappointed. The food is fabulous especially the ribs. Always bring visitors here and they rave about it. The wait for a table is usually not as long as they say so worth the wait. Portions are huge and I especially like the Monday free nachos with a pitcher. The price is worth it cuz we always take home leftovers. The manager always stops by all the tables to check everything is ok. A nice touch. Only complaint is I’m always too full for dessert that looks yummy.

In for a late lunch on a Monday at 2pm. Ordered 2 blackened dolphin sandwiches with French fries(9.99 each) and 2 iced teas(2.59 each). Food came out quickly and was good. Our server(Elizabeth D) never checked back with us, although she passed us several times, to see if the food was ok or if we needed anything else. Had to flag her down to get our check. Some servers don’t seem to realize those check backs will increase their tip.

We have been here many times and it is usually good, but last Thursday was horrible! Waited at the bar where the noise level(at 7PM) was horrendous. More like 3 am(Very very loud music and 3 drunken brutes yelling f words). Children waiting too. Bar tender tried to lower the music. Nobody did anything about the drunks. No prime rib available so we had steak. Couldn’t even cut the meat — tough, sinewy… cold baked potato. Finally saw a manager Dylan who gave us $ 2 coins for 2 free drinks. Won’t go back.

Not only is flanigans a great option for burgers, sandwiches and seafood, but this particular flanigans is the location that is the most consistent in terms of its good food and service. Can’t go wrong with the blackened mahi and they have the best curly fries around!

Ok, my rating is based on the gloomy environment and bad drink. I’m sitting here writing this review and feeling some negative energy. What turned me off the most was the drink. I had the Flannitini margarita which tasted like watered down baileys. Why am I paying you for a watered down Bailyes? I can water down my own bailey’s– thank you. If I can’t enjoy my deliciously introduced cocktail what can I expect from their food? Plus the food was over priced for the environment, I don’t mind paying for a nice enjoyable meal but I feel a bad cloud over this place. It is just not positive or inviting. I had an appetizer and half of my drink and I was out. It was just not worth the calories. Sorry flannigans. I was disappointed :-(. Had the appetizer, now I will go somewhere else to finish my meal. Update: I went across the street to Dal Maestros and loved that place better than Flannigans anyday! and it costs about the same with a better menu!(Dal Maestro is italian)

Flanigans — Hallendale– 7÷12÷15 always too crowded & some supply issues — this location always seems to small, maybe it’s the layout or a main large circular bar. 30 min wait to be seated. This time out of Pitchers of Yingling Beer ! Had Stella Instead $ 15 — Side Note Observation; Last three locations floor was managed by African Americans, strange in a place w/such a heavy Irish theme, & all the white Anglers photo on the walls. What’s worst than bad music, …LOUD bad music.(Weak Reggae, &SKA music) Flannigans Burger cooked medium excellent at $ 9 one of the best deals in town. Service a little slow & inattentive. This location is always a little off from other Flannigans. $ 35 good value — 8.5

The food is good, the restaurant is always busy, and while I don’t come that often, when I do I always wonder why I don’t come more often. My last visit, was a to-go/pick-up order. Everything was as expected. What I really like about this place, is that while you do pay a little more that you would expect from a place like this, the quantity and quality match the price. On this visit, I ordered the blackened Salmon, with side of broccoli and the tumbleweed onion appetizer. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, and the size was noticeably larger from other restaurants I have been too. The onion app was huge and also cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy and not greasy. The broccoli was steamed and was a decent side. If you are looking of a bar and grill type place, that has decent beer selection, good food and some kick-ass BBQ sauce, this is your place. Ribs, seafood, appetizers, drinks they have it all… Be prepared to wait, but its worth it.

This place is always consistent. The food is mediocre and the prices are reasonable. However, when it is season(September to April) you cannot go near this place. It is packed from 4pm to midnight. It’s like it’s the only restaurant in Hallandale. However, if you go during the rest of the year it is a nice place to grab a quick bite.

We went to Flanigan’s last night and the hostess told us it would be a 40 minute wait. I think she saw the look I gave my boyfriend and assured me that it usually goes faster than the estimate time. So we decided that if we waited longer than 20 minutes, we would try somewhere else. Sure enough the hostess called us about 15 minutes later. Our server was Jorge, and he was good, but he seemed a little overwhelmed. Other servers brought us our food, etc. But Jorge kept checking on us, which I appreciated. Service in general was friendly, but kind of slow, hence the one star off. We never got waters that we asked two different people for. The food was on the money. We started with the steamers, which were really good! And the mozzarella sticks. The sauce that came with them was a little sweet for me, but definitely not bad. I got the fried shrimp entrée and I can honestly say that it was some of the best fried shrimp I’ve had. I loved that the coating of batter was thin, and it was really flavorful. My curly fries were good too, especially with the BBQ sauce they have on the table. My boyfriend got the surf and turf and said he liked it. There was a small mistake on our receipt, but our server fixed it quickly and kindly. If i lived in this area, in would probably be a regular here.

First Visit: Horrendous. We went inside to get a time frame for dinner, and the young hostess was clearly overwhelmed. A very intoxicated older man was stumbling around, talking very close to her face when he kept asking if he can sit in the bar. She kept explaining that he has to put his name on the list. She asked us our name and how many. We said 2. The drunk returned, harassing her some more, when she finally allowed him to cut the entire line, and sit at a table. Not a good start. She looks at us again, and says«Name and how many?» — as if she never saw us before??? The manager was strolling around outside and looked miserable and yelled at the«security guard» for sitting in a golf cart and clearly not doing his job. Security guy puts cart away. We finally get sat after 45 minutes, and inside was FREEZING. And by freezing, I mean frigid. It was so cold that 4 other groups of people waiting to be sat asked to be moved. I liked the menu and what they offered. Overall, the wait staff was flustered, overwhelmed, and had a section to big for his abilities. He was very nice and polite, but never checked back with us after us having our meals. It took over an hour to get our food, and the manager said they were busy and it would be right out. That was nice. But yes when the food came it was delish. My husband got a burger, and I got prime rib. One of the best seasoned prime rib’s I think I have ever had. I wish service was better — Today’s grade: D+ Second Visit: Monday night, I believe it was«Mexican nacho night». No wait. Our waiter was Jorge, and he did a fantastic job. He was attentive, explained the menu, checked on us often and our food was amazing. I had the ribs(you have to get them) and my husband had a seafood dish. I wanted to give the place a 2nd try because I felt like the first night was a disaster. I am a tourist traveling, so I will never be back unless we go back down to the condo. The 2nd time, it was not freezing which is dually noted. I do not think because someone is intoxicated, they should jump the entire line of people waiting over 45 minutes for a table. They should have just kicked him out.
