I’m not one to write reviews very often, but I just had such a terrible experience with the owner of this company, Greg Garcia, that I felt compelled to share. If I could give zero stars then I would. Everything started out seemingly well — Greg promptly returned my initial call and went out to check on the leak in my roof. However, that’s where the good stopped. 9 days after going to my house in La Honda, I still had not heard back from him. I followed up with a call and when he answered it sounded as if he were drunk. He then produces a quote for repairing a leak that is so outrageous I could have practically bought a new roof. When I told him it was way more than I had expected and that I would need to digest the information and think about what to do, he became belligerent and insulting. When I asked him if he talked to all prospective clients this way he screamed at me and hung up the phone. Certainly not anyone I would ever want to do business with, or entrust my roof to. Stay away if you are smart.

Dealt with owner Greg and will never do so again !! Find someone honest and reputable do work on your gutter !!

I hired HMB Roofing to fix a leak that streamed down the side of my house. At the same time I needed some gutters replaced. I consulted with the business’ owner and was very clear the repair of the leak was of utmost importance to me and the gutters were secondary. Years of the leak had caused dry rot in an exterior staircase for which I had just completed the repairs. He assured me he that before the work was completed he would examine what was causing the leak and evaluate it prior to any work being done. He immediately subcontracted out the gutter replacement, never looked at the leak to determine a cause, yet it’s repair was included in the charges. He never provided an estimate or receipt, (my fault for not insisting on both of these). His subcontractor attempted to make a hinky fix for the leak problem which was unsuccessful. When I contacted HMB Roofing they would not return my calls (I left 3 messages) over the course of several weeks. I finally visited the «business» (a house located on the edge of Hwy 92) and was given a weak apology for not returning my calls and that he would look at the leak that week. I was finally told that he would be happy to charge me again to make the necessary repairs that may or MAY NOT fix the problem! And the business motto is «Quality Guaranteed» and «10 Year Warranty». Don’t deal with this shady character. Hire someone reputable from the other side of the hill. I got stung trying to help the coastside economy by keeping it local.
