August 20, 2012 To Whom It May Concern: I had California Clean & Seal restore ~2600sq ft of existing paved driveway. I first met with David Tetrault at my home when I had called for a free estimate. He introduced himself and gave me a little background about himself, partner Jose and how the company was established. David was very knowledgeable with his work and provided me with a step by step explanation of what the job would entail. My initial plan was to get 3 estimates for the job, but after speaking with David, I was already convinced that I was going to use CC&S after only 2 estimates. I received a call every afternoon with my daily progress update along with the following day’s agenda. I was given an estimate of 3 days to complete the job, but due to the extent of the repairs that needed to be done, an extra day was needed to complete the job. The crew was extremely talented at what they do and go the extra mile to provide quality work that lived up to my expectations. The crew did an incredible job and I highly recommend CC&S to anyone who is looking to have anywhere from a small job to major paver restoration work done. No doubt you can trust Jose and David from California Clean & Seal. Sincerely, David Namba 6616 Camden Ave. San Jose, CA95120

We have a 965 square feet paver installation at my drive way and side pathway. The project also includes an irrigation system at front yard. Originally we opted for concrete, but David talked us into using paver instead. The bid I got from California Clean & Seal is not the lowest, we choose them because their work is not based upon hiring subcontractors and we do not want to deal with complicated mechanic’s lien issues as a home owner. David and Jose seem honest and trustworthy. The contract specifies a payment schedule of half among paver delivery and another half after work is done. During the project, a significant tree root removal was involved thus the estimated five work days lasted eight days. We stick to the contract to the last words. Outside this contract, there is some plumbing work relating to the water inlet to the house. The promised plumber did not show up in time. David did a beautiful plumbing work for us to save this minor crisis. We gratefully paid for this separate work. During the work, David suggested a frontal gutter drainage extension, we took it and it was written as another contract. The work team as led by Jose is quite cohesive and effective. Team size is adequate and no overtime is noticeable. Team members seem to be skillful, relaxed and in good spirit, and do not litter which is unusual in this area. Paver installation is tricky. There are so many places corner can be cut. I measured their dig out; it is from 6 inches to 11 inches. Their installation is not the best, but we think we got our money’s worth. They do have the basic engineering integrity. The final debris removal is thorough. Before the beginning of the project, David suggested replacing the water meter enclosure as the paver work may damage the original. The company also did the timer wiring so that the irrigation timer can be conveniently opened near the garage door opener, and the wiring must be done beneath the pavers. The outdoor solenoid box is enclosed thus looks very neat. These engineering works were done without my intervention. This company is experienced and knows their business. Now the work is done, and we are very impressed with the quality of their work. My dealing with this fine company is a good experience. Liu family 7÷23÷2012 In Feb 2013, half of the irrigation system failed to function. The subcontractor who did it is the worst contractor one can imagine. The guy is smart and skillful, yet has only marginal work ethic. During pipe installation, he failed to seal the pipe so that debris get into the pipe. After completion, he showed up twice tried to fix the leaking problems. He complained like hell as if it was done by another person; took no pride at all on his own work. Dave did not return my call at third time, so that I finally figured out how to clean it and fixed the problem. If you use California Clean & Seal, the job should be limited to paver installation.
