Zilli was AMAZING to work with while planning our wedding! Through the whole process we worked with Angie and she was accommodating, flexible and so willing to take my constant stream of questions. From the beginning, Zilli was willing to work with our small budget/​big wedding, suggesting places to cut the cost, add little touches here and there and make the day perfect. We had several special diets to accommodate (vegan, gluten free, etc.) and they were willing to work with us to modify the appetizers to do so. The on site coordinator the day of our wedding did a wonderful job, ensuring we ate, had enough of everything and just being overall awesome. The bartenders were also great and so sweet, along with all of the other staff. As some of the staff was leaving the venue they stopped my husband and I and wished us a happy wedding day, along with making sure we had a perfect night. Overall, I would totally recommend working with them. Just a tip though, go through the contract with a fine tooth comb and ask about every single thing. It seems obnoxious, but so important to ensuring that you are getting what you want. Work with Zilli, they are great!

Great company!!! Everything for our wedding was perfect, the room, the food, the staff. They really went above and beyond to make our day special. Would highly recommend for any occasion.

I’m not even sure where to start when it comes to explaining to other couples how fantastic Zilli’s is. First and foremost, I can wholeheartedly say that we have zero regrets in choosing to work with Zilli’s. Their teams are extremely kind, (special shout out to Angie! She’s the best!), professional, welcoming, EASY to work with, flexible and willing to work around all kinds of issues, from budget concerns to logistics to fine details that would not even occur to a couple who has never planned a wedding before. And the best part? A week before our wedding, we realized that we were missing a key person to help us pull together last minute logistics for the big day… aka a day-​of wedding planner. Angie, who is not at all responsible for this type of activity, took time out of her PERSONAL schedule to not only attend our wedding, but basically act as the day-​of coordinator. I can’t even express the rush of relief I felt when I saw her face before entering the ceremony. She went above and beyond the call of duty and was a key player in making sure our big day turned out well. During the reception, the wait staff was fantastic and we received multiple comments from our guests raving about both the quality of the food as well as the professionalism and class of the wait staff. If we had it all over to do again, we would certainly have worked with different vendors on some aspects of our wedding, but NOT the catering. Zilli’s is hands down the best. Easy as that. Thank you Zilli’s (and Angie!) for making our day so special! We’ll never forget you.

My fiancé and I were looking for a reception venue in Milwaukee and having little luck. I called Zilli Hospitality Group and was put in contact with Michele, who was so friendly and willing to work with us on our limited budget. She tirelessly researched a ton of venues in Milwaukee that would fit our wedding size and budget and made me feel like I was the only client on her plate. We ended up going with a different venue that does in-​house catering for our wedding, and Michele emailed me congratulating us on finding a place and continuing to offer her assistance. We didn’t sign anything with them or send them any money, but the help we got from Zilli and more specifically Michele was outstanding, friendly, and much more helpful than I would have expected for free. I would highly recommend Michele at Zilli Hospitality Group!

Just went to a private function that was catered by Zilli’s. The food was outstanding. Grilled veggies with a flavorful dip. roast beef with Jack Daniels sauce. also served with onion butter and horseradish sauce. then a beautiful raspberry cheesecake dessert in a glass. The staff was outstanding. would use them for any function!!!

I searched out Zilli’s catering to inquire about their wedding menu offerings. I was told up front that they work with any budget and style. After I got over the initial shock for what they priced out a plated dinner for 100 (No open bar or desserts included, no table linens either), I emailed the consultant back saying it was a bit outside our budget and we would be willing look at other dinner styles and offerings that would better suit what we were able to afford for our wedding. Instead of a professional response, Jamie B. at Zilli’s sent a quote for a hamburger and hot dog meal served on paper plates and was told this is what I get for my budget (Just for comparative purposes-​we have searched out other caterers and have found MANY others to do a fine plated dinner for exactly our budget with open bar and linens and dessert.). I found it rude and insulting and not the way we wanted to start our wedding planning experience.

I just left an event catered by Zilli’s Catering at the Pritzlaff Building. WOW! Not only was the food sub-​par, but more shocking was the nasty attitude from the staff. I thought it was only me but when my wife mentioned out loud what I was thinking I knew I was right. The food itself is no better than you’d get at a ho-​hum banquet hall and the egos from the staff and manager left a worse taste in my mouth than the food. With so many catering companies to choose from Zilli’s Catering has this attitude as if they’re the only game in town. Do yourselves a favor folks and shop around, but leave Zilli’s Catering off your short list. You’ll thank me later.

Food was of a very high quality. Servers we’re very we’ll trained in the industry. Some the food experiences are very cutting edge. Every one was genuinely very nice and caring. Overall there was a very high level of professionalism throughout the entire staff. I had attended a private event to roll out the new menu at the botanical gardens. I would say overall all of the food was delicious creative and presented nicely.

I had the honor of attending a private event at the Boerner Botanical Gardens with the festivities served up by none other that Zilli Hospitality Group to promote this new venue.
The event was a showcase of Zilli’s capabilities and what an amazing job they did. The goal for invited guest of corporations and event people such as my self were to engaged with the company personnel and indulge in their culinary creations.
Guests were handed a review sheet to judge each station of food and/​or beverage. We were instructed to critique the food based on presentation, creativity and taste. This made a fun and interactive event and created valuable discussion with the chefs and staff.
The day was perfect, the gardens were lovely and the facility was a grand place for any type of corporate or family function in which you wish to leave a lasting impression. Kudos to all at Zilli’s for creating a spectacular showcase of your talents!

We just came back from Zilli’s food presentation and actually signing the contract with them! It was simply a great experience, beyond our expectation. We had gone to other food tasting in the Milwaukee area, and it is just an undeniable fact that Zilli’s quality far exceeds the other caterers. Their foods boast both great display and most importantly great taste. My fiancé and I both looked at each other and silently screamed for few seconds after we had our first bites. Also, their pricing is very workable. Our presenter Angela kindly walked us through a variety of options available to us, and at the end, we were able to keep the cost under our budget and still get all the great foods that watered our mouths during the presentation. The whole experience was simply superb, and we can’t wait until our wedding day now that we know we are going to have great food at our reception!

This place is located in one of the main buildings in the Boerner’s Botanical Garden. If you know your way through the garden, great. But I opened my map through the address in Unilocal and it most definitely brought me to the wrong address. It could have been a fluke. It’s easy once you get to the garden, there are signs for the Brunch and Fish Fry.
Fish Fry is from 4 – 8, Fridays only. If you get there between 4 – 6 you get a free cup of soup. Busiest times are usually between 6 – 7. It’s also seasonal: it’s not open in the summer.
My gf’s sister and I came on a Friday for the fish fry. It’s a classy casual type of dining. We weren’t fancified but we weren’t wearing dressing or slacks.
The menu is short, sweet and to the point. They offer seafood and chicken for those who don’t want fish. The fish dishes are served family style so there’s definitely enough to share. So my gf’s sister got the fried perch and that came with a potato pancake, coleslaw, and German potatoes.
I got the butternut squash with brown butter sauce and asparagus.
We split both dishes and both were more than enough for two ppl. The butternut squash filling was a tad too sweet for me, but it was all delicious regardless.
Warm bread and an array of butters come in the beginning, accompanied by almond covered grapes. They also offer select beers, wines and cocktails.
The salmon is supposed to be very good and I’ll definitely be back to try it.
All the service was wonderful and friendly, especially the owner. We got a warm welcome and a really nice meal. Definitely worth a visit. Bring moms!
