Nixie Hawaii

I came to Nixie for a Day before the Wedding with 6 girls (the Bridal Party) They accomodated us quickly. The shop is extremely small and with only 3 technicians almost 5 hours to get all of our mani and pedi’s finished. My nails were great, lasted a long time, but others were just average (some small spots missing on the nail, non cleaned up polish on the skin, and other minute details that we only really cared about because of the wedding. The ladies were extremely nice and laughed along with all of our chit chatting. I would definetely come back– but would start earlier!!!

I was here on a quick trip visiting friends (I used to live in Waialua) and needed a haircut. A friend recommended Lisa, who was pretty booked. She agreed to squeeze me in and was running late, but still gave my hair so much attention that I didn’t mind. I really appreciated that she didn’t rush it and took her time, even though she was supposed to be done for the day. Lisa is super friendly and has a great vision. If I lived locally, again, she would be my regular stylist.

Nixie is a charming and cozy salon in Haleiwa and it’s also way too far from my house!
This is the best manicure I’ve ever gotten. I took a while writing my review because the holidays got hectic but can now attest to the quality. Any gelish manicure I’ve ever received was completely off my fingers in two weeks. The gelish manicure Jordann at Nixie gave me didn’t even start chipping until the two week mark! I chalk this up to the time she takes on your hands and the high quality of the lamps and polish. Because nixie is a small business they haven’t cut costs on cheaper lamps and don’t have to get you out the door as quickly as some other run of the mill nail places. All of this adds up to a perfect and long lasting manicure.
Make an appointment in advance because the she’s in demand!

I’ve been to Nixie several times since moving to Hawaii and living on the North Shore. I’m pretty picky about the places I get my nails done and the cost for mani-​pedis in Hawaii is pretty ridiculous (but that’s to be expected), so I definitely want to feel like I’m not wasting my money or my time. I can’t see myself going anywhere else now.
This is definitely the place to go if you want a nice, relaxing experience. There’s a living wall with beautiful greenery and Jordan does an excellent job of taking her time and making sure that your nails are «on point» (as my students would say). They also have some super cute jewelry in there, so you could definitely treat yourself in more than one way.
They don’t do walk-​ins, so make sure you make an appointment. It will be well worth it!

I got the $ 75 combo mani/​pedi. They have the low down on what that entails on their website. There are three to choose from. It was absolutely amazing! Well worth the money! Very friendly ladies. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Hawaii!

I used to go too a salon in pearl city that used to be great. They declined bad so I had to find a new salon fast. I found nixie and will never go anywhere else! Their feel manicures and pedicures are probably the best I have ever had! Love them!!!

They do not do walk ins and they say they open at 10 but we got here at noon and they weren’t open yet and they had an appointment with a lady who was waiting outside at noon and she still wasn’t being seen and waiting out in the heat

This was a GREAT experience and they did a GREAT job. It was a REAL mani and pedi and didn’t feel like an assembly line and they took the time and were great in every way. I was getting married the next day and me and my sisters had mani/pedi’s and loved our experience! Couldn’t believe how great it was.
When I am back in Honolulu I will drive to Northshore just to get my nails done by them!

This is as good as it gets on the North Shore!
If you are looking for a great salon that will invest time with you then this is the place for you.
After looking for some months to replace my previous salon to have facials and the occasional mani/​pedi I found Jordan and Nixie!
I have been for facials and pedicure so far. I will return for regular facials… her products are organic and designed for women’s skin not just a flowery, superficial cleanse.
Jordan takes her time, talks to me, finds out what I need, and proceeds professionally.
I felt welcomed to this relaxed environment. Never rushed or out of place. Even if you are just passing through and need some respite from the sun, sand, and sweat of a beach holiday you should stop by and let Jordan pamper you!
It’s like walking into a girls’ day at a friend’s house! I am looking forward to my next appointment!

Love love love Nixie! Very relaxing. Went in to get my nails done and not only did my nails look awesome, but I got the best hand massage ever! I also scored some cute hand made rings that I get compliments on all the time.

Definitely the most relaxing salon experience I have had. I got a gel mani and the hydrating pedicure. Both were done really well! I’m writing this review a week later and my nails still look just as shiny and perfect as they did when I left the salon!
Prices are surprisingly really reasonable for a boutique salon experience like this. Highly recommend checking them out!

Hate to say this, but the worst gel mani/​pedi I have had yet. Took over 2 hours, with two girls working on me. They were very sweet but this isn’t was the review is for. The girl doing my toes didn’t finish and the girl doing my mani painted my toes in the end. I can see through the black tips on my french fingered tips in the light, the french tips don’t match from one hand to the other which she didn’t check before finishing. To top it off she couldn’t do nail art (no flowers, said she wasn’t good at them) so I ended up getting glitter. For paying over $ 100 I expect a lot more. Will not be going back :(

I had a pedi and facial done and it was one of the best and most relaxing things I’ve done. The place is super cute and relaxing! I enjoyed my cup if green tea while I was getting my pedi and the facial. I have no words for it but amazing and that doesn’t even come close. If you really wanna treat yourself and need a deep relaxation this is the place to go. Simply amazing. Worth every single penny and more. They will see me regularly now:) so awesome! Cutest spot to relax and beautify. I love my feet again today, thanks to Jordann. She gives wonderful pedicures, facials, and is such a talented makeup artist! Love the awesome organic skin products they use, and even have for purchase! Making this a regular thing for sure.

I LOVE Nixie! Seriously, the best place for a mani/​pedi on the North Shore. Jordann does an AMAZING job! She takes her time, you never feel rushed, and she’s just adorable. Her sister and business partner, Cece, will do whatever is necessary to make you feel relaxed and comfortable and is equally adorable, while remaining professional and running the show. So awesome! My best friend and I are visiting Hawaii, and after spending all day at the beach, we wanted mani/​pedis. This place rocks. Small and simple, but amazing service and I feel like I have new feet and hands! Just what we needed :)

This place is awesome! I came in for a mani/​pedi tonight for the first time and couldn’t stop chatting with sisters Jordann and CeCe who I learned opened the business together. They are young and sweet but also exceptionally talented and bright. Their place is so classy and chic, and they offer high-​end beauty services at some of the most affordable rates on the island. I got a shellac mani and regular pedi from Jordann who took her time, making it a truly relaxing, spa-​like experience. My nails look perfect and pretty, and I am so happy to now have a regular place for manicures and pedicures close to home!

I went in for a make-​up tutorial and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and had an organic vibe. They have this incredible living wall with artfully arranged plants. Very cool. There are also big comfy chairs to sink into. I was impressed by the selection of nail polish, especially the option for a Calgel manicure (a kinder-​gentler polish alternative to acrylic). My make-​up tutorial was exactly what I hoped for. They were very attentive to what I wanted. The specialist really listened to what I was looking for (an update for my daily look). She took the time to find out my skin type, what products I had used in the past, what worked and what didn’t. She was very thorough with her instruction and make-​up tips. She was spot on with what I was looking for. I looked great and very natural (wish I had taken a pic). Although I just wanted to spiff up my everyday look, I could see using this service for photos and special occasions. I will definitely be back for one of their facial treatments.
