I’d like to start by saying I have little to no complaints about the kind and creative teachers/staff at this center. My child had a positive experience with his teachers, and I was happy with the change I saw within him only after a few weeks. My issue with Future Scholars is not the teachers or program, but the owner of the center. I once over heard the owner complaining about a client’s unpaid bill in the school’s kitchen and it really made me rethink the center my child was attending. Outstanding bills should be paid, but the way he spoke about it really made my decision to leave clear. It really is such a shame, I would consider recommending this center; if it were being run by someone with more respect and real profesionalism.

Mediocre Experience My son attended this daycare for a few years and like many daycare, they look nice on the outside but your child is not benefiting from the school at all. They have no real curriculum. They have a lot of down time. Where your child will just be sitting around idle taking in a lot of bad behaviors and habits, such as cursing, talking about guns and violence. This school is severely understaffed and a heavy turnovers of employees. My son attended this daycare for about 2 years and in the time he’s been there they had 3 directors. They even try using parents for workers. Workers have no experience with child behavior or development. They are very unorganized. When I came to pick up my child, half the time they didn’t even know what room he was in! If your considering sending your child here, think again!

his«Early learning center»(which is a euphemism for: «our staff is uneducated and lacks proper experience or credentials to merit such a label») The Owner Ken Tenner is more concerned about piling as many low income(guaranteed income) «state babies» into his facility then he is out of pocket paying parents. Ken’s inexperience shines if any form of an issue arises. Kens inability to retain his clients or «teachers» is a testament to his inability to properly run a business. Not to mention he is a complete loose canon(Not the kind of guy you want your kids around) The staff is beyond inept. His director Katherine Meyers is new and has no clue what shes doing. The staff is basically there to put on a show. They maintain a façade of education while parents are pick up and dropping off. This is where the education begins and ends. When there are multiple ELC’s with accredited teachers with post secondary education degrees, why would anyone want to pay a comparable price to this place? Do yourself a favor and don’t even consider Future Scholars in Hainesport NJ! Also, dont be fooled by their one of the best 2012 ratings for best of South Jersey. The staff and the owner submitted multiple votes for their own business. This certainly was not a result of their business acumen or a result of their client bases opinion. The problem is, they believe you need them more they need you once your in the door. This could not be further from the truth! Just ask anyone in the Mount Laurel Hainesport area what they think of Future Scholars. Now that Susan(former director) is gone and Ken and Katherine are running the place, they are doing a great job running it into the ground! Stay away
