I’ve registered cars in 4 states now and this was virtually pain-free. Being a super-star procrastinator, I went on the last day of the month(every DMV in every state warns you NOT to come on this day). This was the final day before my Nevada reg expired so I HAD to endure. I showed up at opening, 7:30AM, and there were 3 other people waiting. The doors opened up and between that time and when I left at about 9:15 there were never more than 7 – 8 people waiting. I was amazed! Additionally, the ladies were friendly. I thought I had all my docs but was missing my title. The ladies let me call my lien holder and have them fax it over to the OMV, WITHOUT having to get out of line! How cool is that? So long story short I was in and out of there by 9:15AM with a new registration and license in hand. It would have been significantly less time if I had all my docs. Probably and hour and 15 min total. Downsides are: 1) My fees were out the ass expensive because I had to pay sales tax on my effing vehicle even though I already paid in Nevada. That is some boooshit! 2) You cannot smile in your photo, so I look like an angry bitch on my driver’s license. 3) It’s the DMV, it’s still not exactly a party. As good as can be expected!
