History

Established in 2004.

Dr. Daniel Michaels started Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Institute, LLC in the Hagerstown area in 2004 first on Howell Road. He decided to expand the practice and moved to Professional Court in 2006 and then added the Frederick office on Old Farm Drive in 2006. The Ambulatory Surgical Center was added to the Hagerstown office in 2005 to provide a one-​stop location for our patient’s that require surgery. In the last 18 months our office has started providing FDA Approved laser treatments for onychomycosis (toenail fungus). We offer a full line of othopedic and diabetic shoes as well as several other retail products that are available for purchase to patients and others who are not patients. In the last 9 months our office has become a premier location for safe and sterile manicures and pedicures performed by a board certified pedicurist.

Dr. Daniel Michaels is originally from Texas but now considers the Frederick/​Hagerstown area home. He has been the sole owner and an active physician/​surgeon with Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Institute for the entirety of its opening (almost 10 years)!
