Two days ago I bought some wine at Cooks. When I opened it, I realized it had gone bad. After emailing the address on their website about this, I got a response in TENMINUTES! And this was after the store had closed. When I returned to the store, they were able to exchange or refund the purchase without any muss or fuss. The easiest return ever! Amazing customer service.

Cook’s is a great local liquor store if you don’t have the time or energy to run over to Total Wine in Cherry Hill. Pretty good wine selection and a great selection of domestic and imported beers. Over the past few years they’ve really stocked up on their craft beer selection and it’s a pretty impressive collection. As for parking, there are plenty of spots out front. Price wise it’s on point with the other liquor stores in the area.

Decent selection for a place this size and attractive pricing for some items but the creepy kids at Cook’s counter are enough to send you to another liquor store — any other liquor. We get it: you’re in a band and therefore ringing people up is so very much beneath you. Or you’re off your meds. Or both. Whatever the reason, I wonder if the owners realize how much business they lose via the people they have working there.

Overall, it is a decent liquor store. Fair prices and enough selection to get by. The reason they get four stars is for the craft beer variety packs. They stock 12 packs of 12 oz bottles and 6 packs of 22 oz bottles. It’s the luck of the draw, but all craft beer. There is usually something interesting or expensive in the bottles. A good way to try new beers. Every now and again they are out of stock, but when they have them, it’s pretty much all I buy.

I feel like I owe Cooks a ‘thank you’ for supplying my local needs for so many years. Ah, nostalgia and pretty much the reason so many customers had their awesome weekend drunken stories. It’s the local liquor store that has never let me down in between two BYOB towns. The selection could be better and I have seen better prices, but regardless I’ve never had a bad experience.

I just called this store to obtain information on a wine I was going to purchase. .(1) a girl did answer the phone.(2) I asked if they carried the Brand I was looking for.(3) I asked if they had the blush.(4) She said we have everything, laughed and hung up. That wasn’t bad enough when I called back a recording picked up. My daughter is a very good customer. who does not live in town. I do live in town. YOUJUSTLOST A CUSTOMER. I called Cook’s Liquor they were only happy to answer my question’s They even gave me size and prices and will put them behind the counter for me. Thanks for your help!

Cook’s is an okay liquor store in the Cwood area. It was the furtherest from me when I lived there, but occasionally driving home down Haddon Ave. made it convenient. The parking lot is small. The store is fairly small too, and for all that the beer selection is pretty good. They carry Chimay, Flying Dog, and High Life. Those are some I like and happen to remember. Friends and I grabbed a solid white wine and Johnny Walker for dinner at Villa Barone one night. Prices were acceptable, not outrageous. It’s clean and quick. The boys working there apparently like & will try to impress girls who talk about Star Trek. Also, I am of the opinion that liquor stores should sell limes. And I’m not sure which, but Cook’s either does not carry them or had only a few very ugly ones.

Cooks Liquors is a great little liquor store with a pretty impressive craft beer selection and an equally impressive wine selection. The staff is friendly and is always willing to offer some suggestions. They even have some tasting events. Cooks went above and beyond this weekend when we needed a keg for our party. After a few phone calls back and forth with the owner, a sixtel of Yards IPA was waiting in their fridge for us, ready to be enjoyed and regretted by all of our party guests. If you don’t see what you want or you want to get a keg, just ask! They are more than willing to see what they can do.

This was the closest liquor store to my apartment when I lived in Collingswood, so it got some pretty decent business out of me during my 4+ years there. Cook’s has an okay selection of craft beer for such a small store, and the prices aren’t too bad. Wine options are solid and fairly priced. Now that I live in Philly where even a bottle of Ecco Domani will cost you, I can appreciate the place even more. I also like that there is always a nice selection of chilled whites ready for BYO-ing. And the staff has always been great. I miss regular Jersey liquor stores!

Definitely one of the better local liquor stores. I haven’t purchased anything adventurous by way of wine or spirits, but their beer selection is tops. They always have something new and the staff are quick to help you choose something fun. Their prices are pretty fair.

Cook’s is fully stocked with Four Loko: all flavors, $ 2.99/per. (N.B. Although Cook’s is easily accessible by PATCO and car from Philly, I can neither endorse crossing state lines with nor consumption of Four Loko.)

Anyplace that I can walk to in less than five minutes from my house and buy booze is already at least four stars in my book! Great small-town liquor store, with a nice wine selection, they even do wine tastings on Fridays. Beer prices are fair, liquor prices are great, and wine prices are hit or miss… sometimes you’ll get a great deal, sometimes you’ll end up paying a dollar more for a bottle of something… but hey a dollar is worth the convenience. Friendly staff, and that wet-cardboard-beer smell when you walk in the door makes you feel right at home…

I like Cook’s. It’s family owned, so they are happy to do special orders for you, but, as Jim M notes, their supply, while impressive, can be a touch anemic compared to some of the big Canals. they do get a lot of specials in around Christmas, so that’s always a good time to stop by and browse. Service is pleasant and prompt, the special orders I’ve placed have come in as scheduled, and liquor prices reasonable. They sell lottery and cigarettes, so you can hit all you major vices at once. A perfect day to day neighborhood liquor store.

This is my go to place for booze now that I live in the dry town of Collingswood. It’s a medium sized store that is pretty no frills. They have aisles and aisles of wine and other spirits. They have pretty good specials on scots and irish whiskeys. And they have beer. Domestic, indie/microbrews, and import beers. They usually have very reasonable prices on Yuengling and other local beers like Yards if you like that. And they have good prices on import beers. I got a 750mL bottle of La Fin Du Monde for 8 something. Contrast that with the Foodery in Philly where that same bottle would be 16 bucks. My only complaint, and its a minor one, is that I’d like to see more brands/varieties of beer there. However, I understand that the place has to cater to the crowd that shops there. Service is good and fast. Rarely have I ever had to wait more than a minute or two. The cashiers are usually pretty friendly as well. Hmm, I think I“m out of beer again. Maybe its time for another trip…
