Rem Jr. has practiced criminal defense law for more than 35 years and has tried hundreds of criminal cases. He is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Criminal Trial Attorney and has written and lectured on DWI defense and trial advocacy to both lawyers and judges throughout the State.

Mr. Rem is also a certified Alcotest 7110 operator. He is among the few attorneys in the state of New Jersey qualified to operate the same DWI machines used by law enforcement.

Mr. Rem is a former Passaic County Assistant Prosecutor and has been defending individuals accused of criminal and DWI/​motor vehicle offenses for over 30 years in both state and federal courts. His clients have included former professional athletes, former judges, police officers, politicians, doctors, and fellow attorneys, among others. Mr. Rem has successfully tried hundreds of cases and obtained excellent results for countless other clients. He has been certified as a Criminal Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey since 1981.

Mr. Rem is the author of the BCBA’s monthly Criminal Law Update. He is a frequent lecturer to other attorneys on various topics related to criminal and DWI law. He is an AV-​rated attorney in Martindale-​Hubbell, has been named by Thomson Reuters as a New Jersey Super Lawyer for Criminal Defense in 2006 – 2013, selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyer in America© for DUI/​DWI Defense for 2007 – 2015.
