Our mission is to provide our customers with the best tasting and freshest cupcakes in New Jersey. We bake over 40 different cupcake flavors from the traditional Red Velvet and Carrot Cake to Peanut Butter & Jelly and French Toast. None of our cupcakes are stuffed or filled, we bake our cupcake ingredients right inside. Not only will you love our cupcakes, you’ll be happy with our customer service. We pride ourselves in keeping our customers coming back for more!

If you like partying with cupcakes, then you should have Mr. Cupcakes at your next event! Mr. Cupcakes will make your birthday party, wedding, corporate event, baby or bridal shower so much more exciting. We offer all forty (40) flavors at a regular price of $ 1.75 each and we can customize the icing color or cupcake flavor to your desire with no additional charge!

History

Established in 2009.

Mr. Cupcakes was founded by Johnny Manganiotis. There are now four locations, the first is located at 1216 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, NJ, the second is located in the Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, NJ, the third is located at 383 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell, NJ, the fourth is located at 247 Main St., Chatham, NJ and there are many more locations to come.

We bake over 40 different cupcake flavors from the traditional Red Velvet and Carrot Cake to Peanut Butter & Jelly and French Toast. None of our cupcakes are stuffed or filled, we bake our cupcake ingredients right inside.

I went into the store in Riverside Square today specifically for Mr Cupcakes. We were having an office celebration and I just needed a dozen or so cupcakes. Well, I felt like I was buying an expensive piece of jewelry for how well I was treated by the sales person in the store. He took the time to show me all of the different varieties and the all time favorites. The cupcakes are amazing. Just the right amount of frosting to delicious cake ratio. I’ve had the red velvet before and so tried a peanut butter and jelly today… It was well worth the calories! Great service, great cupcakes! I’ll be back!

Today I had a great experience. I went to dinner with my friend and after I wanted a cupcake. It was pushing closing time for all the stores. One of the doors was closed so I stuck my head in and asked if it was to late. The man not only said yes but also gave me a great recommendation on a triple chocolate cupcake. I was having a crappy day. He definitely made it better by fitting me in and letting me get one last cupcake.

The cupcakes are outstanding, but what continues to bring me back here is the exceptional customer service from James and the staff. We go there for a few cupcakes monthly and go their to get a few cupcakes when going over to someone’s house and bring dessert. We are ordering a cupcake Monster High cake for my 5 years olds birthday and we are all excited to see and eat the cupcakes. Our favorites are the French Toast, Cookie Jar and Oreo Cheesecake. Highly recommended! Best cupcakes around the area and the prices are better than others.

I got 3 cupcakes: strawberry, fudge brownie, and birthday cake. I first tried the strawberry one and instantly fell in love. It was very moist and the buttercream was light and airy. Being a super fatty, I moved onto the next one, birthday cake. It literally crumbled in my hands. It was super dry and the cream tasted odd. I wonder if this cupcake was mistakenly sitting behind the window for longer than it should have been. I then went to the last cupcake. It was in between the strawberry and birthday cake in terms of moistness. It didn’t taste that brownie-​like either.
All in all, I don’t know what to think. Maybe I need to try all of the flavors and update my review later on. I guess I’m still on the hunt for the perfect cupcake in NJ…

I am not a dessert person, but I’ve been here. I prefer the B & W bakery in Hackensack, NJ. Mr. Cupcakes is OK, but franchise like this one, are not always fresh and has that taste that’s slightly unappealing. I don’t like heavy, old, artificial icing. I like light, not so sweet icing.

I’ve been to Mr. Cupcakes at the Riverside Square Mall many times, but my most recent visit compelled me to write this review. Not only are the cupcakes absolutely delicious (my personal favorites are the plain jane and snowball fight), but the customer service is wonderful. My sister and I went to pick up some cupcakes right before the store closed. The man at the counter was very friendly and kind. So kind enough to give our cupcakes away free of charge! I’m not saying that you’ll be getting free cupcakes every time you visit right before closing, but I thought it was very kind of him to do so. What a sweet gesture! Anyways, two thumbs up for Mr. Cupcakes at the RSSM.

Mr. Cupcakes. what a great way to ruin your diet!
I love coming to New Jersey to try these cupcakes, I’m not sure what they put in these cupcakes, but I was salivating before I walked into the shop. When we walked in, we were greeted swiftly. We ordered the PB&J cupcake (legendary), the Cookie Jar, Fruity Pebble, Triple Chocolate, and Carrot Cake. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to use the deal I had while checking in because they didn’t have mini cupcakes on hand. All of the cupcakes themselves seems to be made with a buttercream frosting (my favorite icing), cool points for that. And they always taste fresh. There’s a reason they win tons of awards. Hopefully I can use my deal on the next go round.

Not even edible. The frosting was rubbery. We got lemon and they must have run out of lemons that day and just dyed it yellow. We couldn’t wait to get home and try this tasty looking critter. I mean the shop is called MR CUPCAKE!!! I was expecting it to taste like a cupcake. Yikes!

Amazing cupcakes! And the service can’t be beat– the man that works these is always so friendly and helpful. The cupcakes are delicious, you can taste the difference. They also have a few organic AND gluten free options for cupcakes! They are usually made in limited quantities so if you definitely want some, try going a bit earlier in the day. 10⁄10

I got these cupcakes for my friends birthday and they were great! Lots of gourmet selections to choose from. I got a red velvet, fruity pebbles, tres leches, birthday cake, brownie, etc. I can’t remember the rest but they were all so good! Also, the staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations. :)

The same week that I came to this place I visited. Mr. Cupcakes In a different location. And because I only like Red velvet cupcakes of course I got few of those. When I got home and tried them, they were not good at all!!! :(they were kind of old, and the most upsetting was the frosting on it, which was really nastyyy and not fresh. BUT! This place in Riverside square Mall was much better, yey!!! The cupcakes were fresh and yummy! I am so glad I gave it another try.

The cupcakes are delicious and it’s conveniently located inside the mall.
I got a dozen cupcakes for my coworker’s birthday and it went over so well. They were put in the fridge for the next day and they were still delicious and moist. Everyone in the office were huge fans.
They were so good looking that I brought 3 home to just eat that night for mom, the bf and me. So good!
The employee behind the counter was extremely polite, friendly and patient with me as I chose the cupcakes. He must’ve had a good chuckle as I went all crazy eyes and got so excited (giggling at times) over how good the cupcakes looked.
Would definitely go back!

No, seriously. I love this place. I adore that they have «interns» so there’s always a new flavor on the menu. For $ 2/​cupcake I’m sold. And even better it’s $ 1/​cupcake for the minis.
These usually never even make it home as I’m tearing into the box as I’m walking out.
