Disappointing!!! we came 2adults and 2 kids under 10 yrs. We told them that we have Groupon. We asked if we can order has the love boat which is $ 50, then 2 other rolls dishes. When the two rolls came, they told us that we have to order over $ 10 per person. This is ridiculous, since most special rolls are just $ 12 in average, and even we ordered 4 of those, our total check will be lower than if we order the love boat for 2ppl at $ 50. They should not be too hang up with rules which may reduce their revenue. Not coming back !!!

Very nice place— had a Groupon. The food was amazing. I had to take bus from NYC. Go if you have a car it’s better. You can bring your own bottle. Enjoy

We came on Groupon & had a good meal. Very attentive service & decent prices. My meal was pretty good(Thai stir fry) but the Thai rice was bland. My guess is the hibachi & sushi it better but we had an very tasty app with seafood in a clam.

Horrible service. Okay good, not too great. Prices are little high. Asked to replace the shrimp because I’m allergic and they refused to. I told them to pack it up for home so someone else will eat it. I got Two shrimps. The only reason I decided to go to this place because I had a groupon. The bill came out to be $ 36 and they included the tip without asking us. It was 18% which came out to be $ 6. I don’t think the waitress deserved the $ 6 because she was extremely rude. Would never come back to this place. Avoid it!

This place is bad! I don’t recommend it to anyone, the staff is very rude. They took the plates from my table twice when I was still eating. I said I’m eating and they didn’t even say sorry. The food is greasy and salty. I’ve been to many hibachi places before but this is just horrible! When a restaurant offers a Groupon it is supposed to call new customers and the service and food should be good, but I’ve never feel this mistreated in my whole life. Please don’t spend your time and money in this place.

I used to really like this place which is why I gave it two stars and not one but I’ve been several times and never had an issue until last night. They close at 10 pm so I show up at 9:02 with my husband and two kids for hibachi. They literally just sat a party of 3 and there are like 5 empty seats at the hibachi table. The host tells me I can’t have hibachi because they close the hibachi tables at 9. What??? They didn’t even get water to the table they just sat let along start cooking and you close at 10 not 9. I would have pressed the issue and reminded them that they are in the hospitality business because really you are going to refuse me based on 2 minutes when you stay open for another 58 minutes. I’m not one to force anyone to take my money. I can forgive poor service because everyone has an off night but I can’t forgive being treated rudely so I won’t be back.

Really tasty and fun hibachi experience. The staff were friendly and attentive and they were particularly great with my kids. Will definitely be back.

Got the Groupon deal and I was again reminded that Groupon deals are so cheap for a reason… Took the entire family and my wife’s parents. We had steak, chicken, the vegetables, and salmon with both noodles and fried rice. EVERYTHINGWASSALTY. There is a fine line between well seasoned and too salty. They past the line so far that the line is a dot to them(friends reference)… The price was very affordable and the portions were decent. So why the two stars? The service was horrible. The server was borderline rude and did not attend to us at all. We waited for our check for almost 30 minutes and the place was almost empty. If you plan on dining at this establishment, please let you chef/performer know you do not want too much salt/sauce.

Horrible Service! Made a reservation and when i showed up they told me they are fully booked and we have to wait an hour! I suggest go somewhere else and don’t bother with the horrible service and poor management.

I didn’t know about this place until I saw the groupon offer. Decided to give it a try and I’m happy that I did. Me and my husband we invited our mothers and headed for dinner for some Hibachi. The food was great, the cook was very engaging and we had a fun experience. The soup and the salad was very fresh and the dressings were excellent as well. I asked twice for my dressing refill. The filet mignon was very tender as everything else. A huge plus is byob, and we took advantage of this. The bill doesn’t come cheap and having a groupon is a big plus. Will visit them again.

Servers were very confused as if they just started working there. My order came out wrong twice, and the food was not of even decent quality. I couldn’t finish what I ordered. The spicy mayo was more like mayonnaise, their thai iced tea tasted like watery milk, and their sushi did not taste fresh at all. The restaurant also seemed dirty; bathroom had no toilet paper in the stalls or soap at the sink. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Pricier than I would expect. Never going back.

We ordered a Sushi Regular $ 19.50 and a Sushi Deluxe $ 21.50, a little bit on the spendy side. Understandable when the dishes arrived, as we found the fish super fresh and portions healthy. Nice people.

Went here on a Groupon promotion so we had to give them a try. It was 60 Groupon worth of food for 30 bucks so can’t complain on the deal. If you decide on the hibachi grill then you would have to make a reservation with them as they have limited space in that area. After looking at the menu I noticed that the hibachi was pretty expensive so the Groupon helped. The restaurant itself was quiet and calm setting it was not too noisy. We ordered the Salmon dinner while the kids had the chicken dinner. The hibachi comes with crab rangoon’s, side salad, and soup, while the dinner comes with fried rice, lo mein noodles, vegetables, and your meat of choice. I also ordered a side of avocado rolls as well which was fine. When the chef came out and started cooking the food our kids was engaged on what he was doing. It would be a nice experience for younger kids to enjoy if its their first them there. As far as the food goes, I felt the rice and lo mein were a bit salty for my taste but not a big deal at all. Overall, it was a nice experience but I recommend getting the Groupon if you can for the hibachi.

Came here with the family on a groupon deal and had the hibachi dinner. It’s also a Chinese restaurant so if you choose not to do the hibachi grill, you can be seated at the booth. This place is located in a strip shopping area nearby Shoprite so there’s plenty of parking. There’s also additional parking in the back of the restaurant but you would have to walk to the front to get inside. As soon as we’re seated, we were greeted and given fried crab and cream cheese rangoon(a deal included for groupon diners). I ordered the salmon teriyaki dinner which came with onion and mushroom soup, side salad and then dinner plate of salmon teriyaki, two shrimps, fried rice, lo mein noodles and mixed vegetables. Overall, the food was okay. It was a little to salty for me as our great chef poured too much teriyaki sauce in the rice. I left the place feeling my blood pressure rising if you know what I mean. Our host and hibachi chef kept us entertained. Because the typical flames like volcano flames, he asked if we wanted saki. If you answered yes, he’d take a bottle and squirt the saki from where he stood to you until you close your mouth. He also tried feeding and throwing food in the air for you to catch and eat. I rating 3 stars — 2 for the food and service and 1 for the entertainment.

So I just called to try and make a reservation and after several attempts at trying to make a reservation(the lady could not understand me) I was told Groupons are not accepted on weekends. No where in the fine print does it state this. I even read the voucher back to the lady and all she kept saying was ‘we changed dis.‘ Don’t waste your time.

Went out for a Friday night outing with the family and came across a deal on Groupon(under $ 25). We arrived to our location and asked them about the Groupon deal and found out GROUPONNOTVALIDONWEEKEND(FRI-SAT&SUN). Good thing we’re such procrastinators, none of us purchased the Groupon. It’s located in a shopping strip where a Mandees still exist!(Sistas, come say your final goodbye to this place that supplied our highschool/college years! Lol) This bright red store is gold in the rough — for HIBACHI! Décor looks like a all you can eat buffet type place but with a hibachi grill! And BYOB. Besides the looks, the hibachi was outstanding! I might seen one of those guys before in my previous hibachi voyages… Hibachi started with fresh salad, clear soup, Continued with fried rice veggies And finally the protein of choice (F.mig, STEAK, chix, salmon, SHRIMP, lobster) IFYOUR A SKIMMER — you know the deal.

Average hibachi food but our chef was so nice. The food there was average, the rice was even a little undercooked. But the chef was really funny and entertaining so it balanced the evening. We paid $ 160 before tips for 5 hibachi orders and one child hibachi. I think it’s average too for hibachi.

The Story: There is a groupon for this establishment right now. $ 18 for $ 30 worth of Hibachi and Sushi. This deal is only valid MON-THURS — was disappointing to learn that when I originally wanted Hibachi for dinner Friday night. Food: I think everything was okay. I share my mother’s view on hibachi — you can pretty much make everything at home on your own stove. I got the Mei Special which includes a cut of filet mignon(pretty tender), shrimp(I got extra shrimp!) and chicken. Their clear soup is decent and got free sample of crab ragoon. Price: I think all hibachi is expensive(since we can make it at home) but the prices are about average for this food show. Décor: I quite enjoy the décor — very clean and classy. Service: I was reading other Unilocal reviews and noticed that some people had a wait for the hibachi chef. We waited a good 5 mins as well — I guess they are short staffed. Parking & Finding the Place: Located in the strip mall in Haversack off route 80. Plenty of parking since it shares a parking lot with shoprite. Additional Thoughts: Never really a big fan of Hibachi. Went because of groupon.

Was in the area and was with my brother. He said this place was good so we tried it. It’s a hibachi and sushi Resturant. We sat in the sushi section. The service was really good very friendly. I ordered the spicy salmon and rock shrimp roll. And ordered green tea. The servers were on top of refilling my tea. It wasn’t that crowded at the time we went. The sushi came out and the presentation was nice. The spicy salmon was ok but there wasn’t much salmon I tasted more tempura flakes. The rock shrimp was decent too. Not my favorite sushi spot but not the worst.
