Hackensack Nissan

I want to start off by saying how disappointed I am in the AutoEastern Nissan dealership located at 400 River St, Hackensack, NJ 7 601. I sent my 370z 2014 nismo for a clutch and flywheel repair. I’ve heard rumors that they weren’t good to begin with, but I figured I would give them a chance. This happened to be the worst mistake for my car. When I went to pick up my car I was told it was good and TESTED. Once I entered the car and drove off I felt the car running weird. So I began to give it more gas then all of a sudden the car immediately began to misfire and buck. I nearly collided with the car in front of me. The check engine light came on and the car wouldn’t go any higher then 3000 RPM.
All of this began within two blocks of the dealership. My advisor told me what happen, and I told him they nearly caused me to get into an accident and they clearly gave me a vehicle that was not tested properly. A few hours later I received a call saying that the cars crankshaft was not reset, which sounds like a lie. What I gather is that that the car was not tested properly which should be standard operating procedure.
From what I see from the receipt is that the crankshaft position sensor which resides between the transmission and the engine was damaged when the transmission was reinstalled back into the vehicle. The technician was negligent on the repair and didn’t even road test it to make sure all the work was done safely and correctly.
Prior to this I left my car at the dealership contacted Nissan about my complaint, and all I had was a regional specialists contact me and said sorry for the inconvenience. This isn’t the kind of service people should be receiving at all. I drop off a high performance vehicle for a simple clutch and flywheel replacement and I get a car that has not been road tested and could’ve caused injury to myself or even worse another family. I should be accommodated with some kind of in house special with free oil change or some kind of extended warranty.
I advise everyone, do not do business or bring your car to this dealership chain. I’ve should have listen and gone to Ramsey Nissan on Route 17 South. It seems that any AutoEastern dealership is not one you want to deal with

Worst service department. Needed to bring in my car for a recall issue and was told I’d get a phone call within 3 hours. It has been 6 hours since and I still have not received my car. I called for an update two hours ago and was told it shouldn’t be another half hour or so. Lesson learned. Go to a different Nissan dealer if you can.

Parts department the worst ever they either transfer you to someone else, or put you on hold forever!

I had a great experience at this Nissan dealership. Quasheem approached us immediately when no one else seemed interested to and made the process so easy. He worked hard with his boss to give us the best price possible and keeps checking up on how we are loving our new Rogue. It was our first leasing experience and it was a great one. I would most definitely recommend the dealership and our salesperson to anyone you chooses to go there.

I tried to find the most professional way of saying this but I couldn’t. I’ve had the worst and most unprofessional experience at Hackensack Nissan. I was told one price on the car and it changed, despite what the sales person wrote down. I was promised a feature to be added to the car as part of the deal, then they backed out it. Then for not adding that feature, I was promised a check back which six month later and many calls have not seen. Please save yourself and shop elsewhere. Also beware they spot deliver cars! What that means is a person goes there on a weekend and is allegedly approved for a certain interest rate and terms. When in truth they aren’t and you will receive a phone call to resign paperwork for other terms…

From the customer service to the experience I’ve had with my Nissan Murano, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Horrible, horrible place. Stay away. It is by far the worst experience getting my car serviced.

I was interested in a used Toyota the dealership had listed for sale, but it was sold by the time I arrived. I was dejected and not at all interested in a Nissan. I didn’t really know anything about the brand. The associate I worked with was easy-​going and showed me a Nissan Versa similar in price to the Toyota, but the Nissan was only 2 years old (the Toyota was 6 years old) and had 11,000 fewer miles than the Toyota.
It had excellent leg room and head room, and the car was simple, which was just what I needed because I don’t drive much at all, but I need a dependable car to get me from Point A to Point B daily.
The car had a few dents and deep scratches on the back bumper, so we paid $ 150 in the negotiations to have those things buffed out. The guy who does the body work did an awesome job! My car looks brand new. If you need scratches and dings taken out, I couldn’t recommend this guy’s services enough. He’s there normally on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I was a little bummed the service department didn’t have a shuttle to come get me when my car was ready (it was kept overnight), but I survived the walk down River Street. When I arrived at Nissan, I saw a «Courtesy Nissan Shuttle» van leave the lot, so I was a little peeved that the associate told me on the phone the shuttle driver wasn’t there today.
I was going to take a star off because I purchased my car at the end of the day on a Saturday, so the car wasn’t available for pickup until Monday. There was a snow storm that Sunday, and my car had a new dent in the front corner that I didn’t see when I picked up the car on Monday. I was certain that I had to just accept this new dent because I had signed everything and drove off. But I saw the dent as soon as I got home and drove back within 10 minutes. I pointed out to the associate that this dent was not there when I selected the car on Saturday. The dent had fresh paint peeling off it too. The associate said it could have been damaged during snow removal on the lot. I didn’t like that my car was mishandled like that and that the person moving the car didn’t alert the higher-​ups. Also, the car was parked close to other cars so it was easy to miss the dent because I couldn’t get to that side of the car to bend down properly and look (it was as if it was parked that way on purpose so I wouldn’t notice the ding).
But, to my surprise, the associate agreed with me and just added the repair of that dent to the paperwork at no additional charge. So, they did the right thing.
I waited a couple weeks before writing this review, and I’m happy to say it was a great experience. I love my car.

car. Their sales staff is friendly, helpful and willing to work with you.
Their sevice department, on the other hand, is deplorable! I would not trust the to change the oil in my rogue. I t took them over a month to repair another Nissan mine. And it is still not riight.

worst people and customer service ever!!! they make hitler seem nice. they treat you like crap and dont acknowledge you unless they are in the mood for it. they are the laziest excuse for human beings. i went for a part and they told me to come back 1hr and a half later only to come back and them telling me i need an appointment for something that takes 5 minutes. the staff is very racist and lazy. better go somewhere else. all of their departments are terrible in their own way

I have been dealing with this nissan since I got my first car. My family always came here when the owners were different. Now someone else owns it and this place is AWFUL. All started when I bought my new car in July of 2013 I bought a certified pre owned. They were suppose to give me floor mats. Promised they would. And did not. Then I went in for a oil change and left with my IPOD missing. I said something to the receptionist inside and absolutely no one cared. Then this year my car sideswiped a curb and the ENTIRE skirt of my car fell off. I really wanted to go somewhere else but since my car is under warranty at this place I had to go here. It’s been a month since I spoke to someone about ordering the part. They keep telling me «oh next week «and that they will call me when it comes in. False. I have been calling every week since they have not. Turns out the part finally came in and still no one called me. This place is awful. No one wants to do their job and the people are scummy. Once I am done with my year warranty I am never coming back and I suggest NO ONE to ever come here. Worst business.

Stay away. That is all you need to know. Run as far and as fast as you can from these clowns. Don’t give me the satisfaction of saying «I told you so». Bring the car in for a $ 30.00 oil change and you will leave with a $ 300.00+ bill. They ALWAYS seem to find something wrong that they say should be fixed. Get an estimate and take it somewhere else that you trust. Never again.

This stupid dealership deserves a NEGATIVE 100! They lied to my husband to get him there. We thought it was pretty cool that they offered to pick my husband up. He decided to let them do so and found out that they would NOT bring him back home because he didn’t like anything that they had!!! Before he even agreed to let them get him he asked many questions about the cars so that his time was not wasted or theirs. He was assured again and again that everything was okay and to come on down. Once he got there it was a different story. The financing issue was HUGE 9not to mention the unnecessary credit hit). He was told that he had to finance a certain amount and wouldn’t even have minded if he has seen the vehicle that he wanted. He was told that there were MANY vehicles there that fit his description. There was not and they kept showing him American cars when he told them AHEAD of time that he wanted Japanese! When they kept trying to get him to sign his life over along with his down payment, he didn’t bite because what he was being shown WAS NOT what was told to him over the phone!!! Here’s the kicker: They wouldn’t even bring him home. They told him that they would call him a $ 50 cab (DESPITE the lady telling him over the phone that he would have a ride back). He kept being told that he was approved (which he was, but only for a high amount)! They left him stranded cities away and he had to get his friend to get him. Thank you for lying and waiting our time! Not only will we NEVER EVER use you but as a blogger, I will make it my life’s mission to make sure that everyone knows about your DIRTY DISGUSTING tactics!!! I have THOUSANDS of fans (if you don’t believe me check me under Bloggs Alot on Google) and they will know who you are and what kind of scam you are running!

Why people keep taking cars to get repaired to a Nissan Dealer? Here’s my mother’s story… Save yourself some money, get your check engine checked at a auto parts place, and figure out what you can do on your on first…
Here’s the email I wrote to Nissan about it.
I would love to tell you why I will make sure that NO ONE in my family will ever buy a Nissan Vehicle.
My mom has a 2007 Altima that had an engine light, I pick it up and leave the car at the dealer today, but I unfortunately am not able to stay to make sure that the service repair goes smooth and as reasonable as possible. My mom also has a third party warranty that she bought from another dealer when she bought the car thinking that some of the repairs where able to be made.
The bill came out to my mother about a total of $ 745… which I tough that was a bit high but since am at work and the information what needed to be repaired was explained to her by phone; she had no choice but to TRUST that the repairs recommended where actually needed.
I thought that I could definitely trust Nissan of Hackensack because they were very courteous when I dropped the car… but I guess I was wrong.
I was wondering why were these fees not covered by the total protection warranty my mother bought, but the reason was simple, these fees were just simply outrageous for some, and my mother, not knowing about cars, just had to trust the person telling her what needed to be repaired.
Air filter with labor: $ 35 (Fair)
Cabin filter with labor: $ 94 (OUTRAGEOUS)
A $ 20 filter it’s $ 94 in a dealer with labor? really? To pop it open an change it?
— This is was not part of the request that I did of what needed to be check when I came in, nor was communicated to my mother over the phone… but I guess TRUST goes a long way in $$ for you.
Tire sensor with labor (passenger side): $ 252
— OUTRAGEOUS … a sensor change?
But the one that really bothers me the most, and the main reason why I would not consider to even step in to a NISSAN AGAIN! is this:
$ 54 DOLLARS TO CLEAN THE BATTERY TERMINAL!
You, NISSAN, have to really be using a gold tipped fiber optic brush to charge $ 54 to clean two battery terminals. Have you ever stopped and figured out what entails to brush off a battery terminal?
It’s sad that the same customers that trust to buy NISSAN, have to find out the hard way that a repair should never be done at the dealer… and if I can do a repair at the dealer, why should I go to even buy that brand of car?
The reason why I needed to write this email was because my wife and I, while driving my mother’s car to the dealer (in my 4^th Honda accord) we were really considering switching to a Rogue… but I guess I should thank you for helping me stay with the right decision and never buy your brand.

I brought my car in for service because the check engine light came on. I had brought it to Meadowlands Nissan originally but they put me through hell. They refused to fix my car even though I have TWO warranties on my car.
Hackensack Nissan was wonderful. They didn’t charge me for the anything. They told me it was covered under warranty. The service manager there is amazing and sweet. He kept me up to date and let me know everything he found. I highly recommend bringing your car here for service. Rohit the service manager is very very helpful and honest. I can not stress how great this place was.
