George’s Liquors

I think George’s should be a Hackensack landmark. If a liquor store can be in business for over 30 years, it’s pretty much a no-​brainer that it’ll be here forever.
You can’t miss the huge neon sign that graces the façade. I’m wondering how many times it’s been repaired over the years. All I know is that I’ve never seen it malfunction.
The prices are average. This is a typical liquor store. You won’t find anything out of the ordinary here. Parking can be a problem if you can’t snag a spot out in front. Don’t be afraid to park across the street and scamper across if there’s nothing open on Linden.
George’s holds a special place in my heart because it’s the first place I ever bought liquor. I was 16 at the time. I didn’t get carded. I had a full mustache. I looked like a fresh mexican.
