History

Established in 2003.

In 2003, Dr. Marina Tourkova founded the Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry, and has since been leading and managing it as a Medical Director. Since 2003, the Center has been able to help more than 12,000 patients. In 2012, Dr. Tourkova opened a second branch in Sarasota, FL area.

Dr. Tourkova is well-​known and respected by the community and has been chosen by her patients for the Patient’s Choice Physician Award 5 years in a row.

Dr. Tourkova received her medical degree in Ukraine where she worked as a psychiatrist for 12 years. Upon coming to the US, she completed the Psychiatric Residency Program at Westchester Medical Center/​Behavioral Health Center, Valhalla, NY. While in training, she was certified in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy by Psychoanalytic Institute of New York Medical College. Dr. Tourkova received additional training as a Geriatric Psychiatrist through a Fellowship Program at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York.
