I needed to stock up on jerseys to support my favorite teams during the world cup! Came in before the store opened up early on a Saturday and the owner kindly let me in… Great selection of authentic gear at very good prices. Generous discounts too… Will be going back soon.

I have been here several times. Each time I have left satisfied. They have a huge selection of international and club jerseys. I just walked out with an Altidore USA jersey just in time for the USA v. Turkey game just before World Cup. This store is truly a gem. The service each visit has been fantastic. I strongly recommend supporting local businesses just like this.

I have bought many items in this store in the last couple of years, from replica jerseys, to cleats and had good experiences until this morning. I went in to buy a Neymar Jersey and warm up pants. I also needed my son’s club shorts repair. One of the numbers fell off and I wanted them to press on another. Eski tells me that he doesn’t recommend that I press on number onto nylon shorts because it will keep coming off. I was thankful for the advice and I was going to take the shorts back to the club, because they are the one who made the decision to press numbers on nylon shorts. Anyway, I went to the back of the store to grab the jersey and the warm-up pants. I guess Eski thought I walked out, because he started saying that I was stupid because I bought cheap stuff(Nike Shorts… cheap? I don’t think so) at another place and now I wanted to make it his problem(A customer requesting a vender to provide a service should not be consider«making it his problem»). It’s not like I was asking him for a handout. I was going to pay for it and buy a $ 65 jersey, plus whatever they charge to add the name(usually $ 25), and $ 48 for warm up pants. So Eski who is the stupid one you or me? I still have $ 140+ dollars in my pockets and you lost a loyal customer. I wish Berkenmeier were there because the experience would have been much better!

As a Cosmos fan and former youth league player, I was thoroughly impressed with Birkenmeier Sport Shop. Both Hubert and Eski run the store and it is stocked with anything you need for the soccer player of all ages. Uniforms, cleats, balls, pads you name it, they have it and if it isn’t in stock, they will get it. Their prices are very competitive and the store is a soccer fan’s dream. A must visit for any real soccer player and fan. #soccer #nycosmos

I come here for all of my soccer cleats. The owner is very nice, attentive, and helpful. But recently, I went to the store to look for new cleats, but they said that it would come in a few weeks, so a few weeks later I come back to check. Still no new shipment. So I came back to check one last time, and as I entered the store with a friend, I heard the older owner whisper to his young worker that I’ve been coming back 15 times and never bought anything. How rude. I was extremely disgusted by him. I was furious. What kind of service is this?! The only reason why I even left empty handed is because the new shipments never came! But to hear him say that, makes me furious. He is a horrible owner and needs to get his facts straight. For the last 5 years my family and I’ve been buying our cleats there. Where’s the respect you show to your customers?! Also, it was raining very hard today. He kindly offered this family an umbrella but they refused. 15 minutes later, my friend and I exit the store with her new jersey, but the rain is pouring so we decide to wait a little bit. The old man just stares at us. He doesn’t even offer us the umbrella! So my friend decides to go in and ask for plastic bags, still no offer. We were extremely mad at how big of an a**hole this guy was. I asked a family friend if she felt the same, and she did! I guess I’m not the only one complaining about him. Ridiculously rude. Never again will I be coming back.
