Had a mani pedi Saturday nails peeling Sunday an the polish was supposed to be a long lasting polish … Not happy. So I was called by the manager after she read my review and told I would get a free manicure. I went this Monday for a mani and pedi. Guess what manicure is peeling 2 days later. Not happy at all and will not be returning to this facility again …

I have come here mostly to get my eyebrows waxed but recently for a facial (at the gym location) I must say I was very pleased and delighted with her! She gave me great advice on how to reduce the appearance of my acne scars and redness on my face. At her recommendation I went for the microdermabrasion with her at their flagship location (which by the way is beautiful) and I really am happy with the results. Maria definitely knows her stuff and I trust her expertise =]

Beautiful facility, professional staff, personalized, high-​quality services. Truth? Manicures and pedicures will likely not rival those you receive at a place that does a high volume of these services. But, for signature facials and massage including proper diagnosis and recommendations for the right regimen and products, it’s an entirely different world. You truly get to rejuvenate in a lovely space and will leave rewound, refreshed and ready for whatever comes next.

I received a gift card and came here with my sister and father. My sis and I opted for the Swedish massage. My father opted for the pedicure (lol).
Odd location. You have to park in the Hackensack hospital garage (validated) then take the elevator to the suite section. We figured it out fairly easy, but if I was alone I would have been confused.
The staff is SUPER nice. We were escorted to the changing room. They had nice little amenities throughout the place, granola, cucumber water, lotions, etc. It was really nice to sit in the steam room and sauna before our massage. The massage itself was really nice. I felt relaxed and comfortable the entire time. My sister enjoyed herself as well. My dad loved his pedicure! He really enjoyed the peppermint lotion they used.
Overall a great place and I can’t wait to try the pedicure for myself.

Great spa! My initial reaction was «how could this be a good day spa when its part of a hospital?» They definitely proved me wrong.
I came here for my cousins spa day. Its not actually in the hospital but in the building next to the hospital where all the offices are located. It’s on the 9^th floor and a bit hard to find cause there were no signs but you just have to keep walking around and you’ll find it eventually! The ladies were super sweet. They gave us a suite like area big enough to fit 12 people and with a mini kitchen. They let you bring your own booze and finger foods (veggies, dip, tortilla rolls, cheese and crackers). You can order a lunch from there but you have to do that ahead of time.
They gave us a you of the place, it was pretty big surprisingly. We all changed into our robes and they showed us to our suite and had all our food set up on the table, and gave us plates and champagne glasses! So kind of them! The suite also had a view of the city in the distance.
The masseuses came in and called each of our names when it was our turn. I got a 50 minute massage. It was a little painful but thats what i heard is supposed to happen because you feel amazing afterwords, which i did! After the massage, I went to the steam room and then the sauna that anyone can use at any time. They also had these cold cucumber towelettes right by them so you can wipe your face after. Its so refreshing. They also have water and iced tea in a couple different spots for when you get thirsty.
The spa was very clean and nicely decorated as well. And as for prices, much cheaper than most day spas out there. I will definitely come back again!

The staff here is really sweet but the nail services are just eh. Bad news first: sloppy painting (I think because the staff here are a little older and may have some difficulty seeing or perhaps I am expecting perfectly polished feet and hands). They don’t have an enormous color selection for the mani/​pedi and the cracks on my heels are still quite visible even after a $ 45 pedicure. For the price, no extra intensive massage. I have to say I have tried this place three times now and I don’t know why I keep expecting better. I thinks it’s because it’s a beautiful place and it’s close to work. Good news: they do in room services if you’re in the hospital and their massages are good. Also, they bring you hot tea and flavored waters and like I said, it’s a true spa feel with spa music and pleasant aesthetics. Unfortunately, I am going to have to stick to my good olé Forest Skin and Nail salon in Paramus for a great mani/​pedi. Their talent with Beyond’s facilities would be a gold mine! Until then, I will have to keep dreaming of a spa like place who actually does a great mani/​pedi.

The people there are pleasant and professional. I tried a gel manicure for the first time and it seems gloppy, with some indents. And now a thumb has chipped. It has been 8 hours since it was applied. Wasn’t told about the difficult removal until after it was applied. Not too jazzed about that. Not a lot of cuticle work… the mani-​pedi does not feature anything extra ordinary. I’ve had more detailed work done elsewhere. I wanted to love it… but it was a little mediocre. At 70.00, plus tip, it could have been a whole lot better. I am not so quick to recommend.

I’ve never had a massage by a massage therapist, let alone been to a spa, so I was excited to go. I received a gift certificate for a 25 MINUTE RIGHT THERE MASSAGE for Christmas and finally used it today. We’re in July.
Anyway, I”m glad I went. I’ve already decided to go again next month. Comfy robes, the cucumber was so refreshing, and the music & ambiance was just so tranquil. I didn’t catch my massage therapist name (the only downfall — not so terrible) but she did a fantastic job. I will admit I’m a little sore a few hours later but it hurts so good. I had no idea I had to many knots. Can’t wait to book another appointment. I was pressed for time today but next session will be at least an hour and I’ll be sure to use the sauna.

I went in to get a facial in 2011. The staff didn’t use the facial steamer correctly and gave me 2^nd degree burn on my face (saw a doctor).
She put fresh water in the steamer before putting it over my face (you are supposed to let it warm up before using it) It then spit scalding water on my face.
Its been 2 years and I still have the scar.
The owner showed up and took me downstairs to the hospital and when I asked if she was going to help pay for my doctors visit she threatened in front of everyone to call the police and she started screaming at me.
I would say I was humiliated but that would not explain the misery and embarrassment this place put me through. Not to mention walking around with a burn on my face for weeks.
The good thing is that this spa is in a hospital so the emergency room is near by since the staff and owner don’t know what they are doing.

I have been going here for facials for about a year now. Love this place. They suggest what is good for your skin. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it.

I got the «Beyond Package», which includes an express facial, 60 minute massage and a pedicure. With the package, the prices are fantastic. The atmosphere is lovely and serene. All of the ladies who did my services were professional and exceptional. I will definitely be going back.

Out of convenience, I use the Beyond Spa for manicures and pedicures being that its close to home and the only place I trust being clean in the area. I’m always satisfied with the services, which is why I give it 3 stars. However, being a spa, you will pay spa prices but the place needs a little polishing. Pun intended.
It’s a bit outdated and they don’t spend as much time on the lotion massages, which is usually my favorite part when getting a pedicure. After all, it is their «Signature Pedicure.» From beginning to end they spend about 30 minutes on this pedicure and it’s going to run you $ 38 plus tip.
Also, note that after 5pm during the week there is no valet parking in front of the building so you have to park in the hospital parking garage. The Spa will validate your parking but keep in mind that on certain days it could take 15 minutes to find a spot and walk to the Spa.

Made an appointment for 545 with my friends for a fun girls date, and I guess they were in a rush or something. They didn’t let us dry our feet. Basically got kicked out, all the pedicurists seemed to be in a rush. The pedicure was the same quality as the one I get for cheaper. Not worth the money and hassle.

On a whim, I woke up this morning and made an appointment for a hot stone massage; 50 minutes for $ 95 (at one of the top 10 best medical spas in the world) sounded reasonable to me.
They tell you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled session so you have time to enjoy the facilities. During the week they have valet outside of the building to park your car for you but since I came on a Saturday, I had to park it myself in the hospital’s parking garage. You just have to mention this to the Spa Receptionist and she will give you a paid parking ticket so you don’t have to shell out $ 6 to exit the garage.
Beyond has a very clean locker room that include 2 separate showers, a sauna, a steam room, and 2 separate bathrooms. The sauna is a little small (could comfortably fit 3 people) but the steam room has more room. You are assigned a locker to change, and they provide you with a soft robe and sandals for your feet. I slipped into the robe and tried to enjoy the sauna but it wasn’t long before my masseuse found me to start our session.
While they do have massage rooms as part of the women’s locker room, I was escorted down a hallway and into the men’s locker room to use one of the massage rooms in there. My masseuse was a wonderful woman named Lin who made me feel so comfortable and at ease. The massage was amazing and the time passed so quickly as we talked about life that when it was over and I had to sit up, I felt like I was waking from a dream.
When I got back to the locker room, there were 4 – 5 women in there waiting for their treatments to begin but by the time I got out of the sauna, all of them had gone so I had the entire locker room to myself. :) I just wanted to note: the steam room is nice but when it comes on to produce steam, the sound is almost deafening. The sound of jet engines jolts you out of a relaxed state and I had to cover my ears to tolerate the noise. Aside from that, everything was perfect.
I believe If I’m going to shell out the money to have a massage, I want to make sure it’s going to be worth it and here, it was definitely worth it. I couldn’t have been happier.

Really nice spa. I’ve had several services, all of which have been wonderful. Also, I go here for my waxing services; My skin is sensitive and their bikini waxes never irritate my skin. It’s super clean, too. It’s in the building next to Hackensack Hospital so it’s kind of a pain to park in the garage which is always mobbed. But they do have valet services! It’s def a great place for all kinds of treatments.

I love this place, everything about this place is great, the ambience, the treatment, everything and i mean everything is great!!! I am extremely happy going here although it is so expensive. wonderfully serene atmosphere. chris is great as manicurist. pia is the second choice for this. nice front desk staff. valet parking as it isin humc on 9^th floor… i love it here.15 for a manicure. pedicures are overpriced at 38.
