Academy of Massage Therapy is a private, post-​secondary massage therapy school who provides massage therapy training to individuals who wish to become licensed massage therapists. Our school was founded in 1990 and provides both massage therapy programs that qualify you for your New Jersey state license and your New York state license. Students of the school enjoy small class sizes, «hands-​on» training from experienced massage therapist instructors, and job placement assistance upon graduation. We are licensed by the State of New Jersey, nationally accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) and approved by the U.S. Department of Education so that our students may participate in the federal student financial aid programs that are available to all college and university students. Classes run both day and evening with new class starts scheduled every eight weeks. We are the fastest path to become a licensed massage therapist in New Jersey and New York.

History

Established in 1990.

The school was originally founded in Englewood, New Jersey, but as the school grew and required more space for more students, the school relocated to Hackensack in 2008. Even as the school grew, our student to teacher ratio has always been quite low to ensure plenty of interaction between every student and their teacher.

The school was purchased in 2007 by its current owner who has more than twenty-​five years experience operating professional career schools. My philosophy in life is «make the most of your time on earth while you have it» because you never know what the future will bring. Set dreams and goals and go for them with passion. If you stay focused and remain passionate, you will achieve and be successful. This philosophy is engrained in our faculty and staff at the school. We have a passion to make sure all of our students are successful in school and in life!
