RUN!!! DON’T WALK! Had full leg laser treatment. For the first three appointments the «nurse» told me NOT to shave for three days before the appointments. I didn’t know this, but apparently you are supposed to shave the night before. Because I was told not to shave for three days before, I felt as if I was being burned. It was EXTREMELY painful.
Also, they sold so many Groupons that I was nearly impossible to make appointments. Furthermore, even after my series of laser treatments, I STILL have a lot of hair growth.

I purchased the Zerona groupon and didn’t lose a single pound Or ingle inch. I was told it was dues to me not purchasing their two week supply of ??? (Laxatives) complete SCAM. The staff was pretty nice to me, but the sales tactics were a bit too much.

The manager gives attitude, super impolite, schedule with difficulty and they change rules all the time. If u gonna treat ppl differently base on how much they pay for the service, don’t even put out promotions. Talks about quality? Pls go somewhere else.

I only decided to go with this facility because I got a $ 70 groupon for 6 underarm treatments. The service was terrible. They were constantly calling me to reschedule my appointments. And when they left me a voicemail and I try to call back right afterwards, it was impossible to reach them. I would always get put on hold or get transferred to their voicemail. When I finally got a hold of a receptionist, they were extremely rude and unfriendly.
The only reason I gave two stars is because the facility was clean and presentable and I did in fact see results. Not the best results compared to other laser facilities I went to but most of the hair was gone. But I would never recommend this place nor would I return.

Was unable to get appointment during the Groupon, even though I tried over a month in advance of expiration.
To add injury to insult, now they are straight up refusing to take the Groupon for any value.

I sent Groupon a copy of my Unilocal review for Valley Aesthetics and Laser. I also sent Groupon a copy of Dr. Karan’s comment that he left on my Unilocal review. Groupon was extremely helpful and gave me a full refund of my purchase amount. I also asked Groupon a question regarding Dr. Karan’s medical background and they went above and beyond with trying to help me find some answers.

CHEAP w/​GROUP BUT HORRIBLE SERVICE. i once gave this place a review of 3 bc i liked the nurses, but a lot of the nurses i liked quit. they quit bc they said they did not like the way it was run and i can see why.
appointments are hard to get and when they do, they sometimes cancel my reservations and only send an email w/​the cancellation – they do not call you to reschedule. when you call to reschedule and ask why they cancelled, you will be lucky if they pick up.
i am pretty pissed right now, my june reservation was just cancelled and it is hard to get an appointment in the summer.

While my experience with the facilities wasn’t nearly as horrific as some of the other reviews, it’s not the most pleasant either. The biggest complaint appears to be scheduling; which was true. With any groupon sale for services, I usually wait a bit before trying to schedule an appointment simply because I know there will be in influx of new people. That being said, I was not expecting, after 4 months to find it still difficult to schedule an appointment. It took 3 phone calls and 2 emails over the course of a week to get myself schedule for my first visit — which was another month and half out. (I was luckily able to schedule the rest of my treatments during my visits thereafter.) They’re consistently over booked and there’s always a queue no matter what time your appointment is. (8:30AM on a Thursday and I still had to wait half hour.)
Despite all that, I like the physicians assistants that were conducting the actual laser hair removal. (I never once saw the actual doctor.) The PA’s were all friendy, efficient, and very nice. They always checked the record and consulted me on the laser settings before proceeding. The only strange thing was that I never had the same person twice — and I went for 6 sessions. The treatments were a little painful the first 3 times, mostly because there was so much more hair to treat, but the last 3 was almost painless. Still have a few strays but I’m pretty much free and clear of the razor now.
If you’re patient and don’t mind waiting, this isn’t a bad place. The front desk and administration needs a lot of work but the physicians assistants know what they’re doing.

Dr. Karan, you’re in denial about how terrible your business is. YOU need to stop blaming your clients and start taking responsibility for you and your employees poor work ethics. Also, stop ripping people off with your cheap groupons. Your lasers DO NOT work. I’ve had 12 treatments, on time and followed all instructions and my hair is still there! All of it! How many more sessions do I need to buy?
Unilocalers, DO NOT go here! Save your money and choose a better place. I unfortunately bought a groupon as well as more treatments before checking Unilocal.I am extremely upset and disappointed. Those groupons are not doing anyone a «favor», they are a rip off!

What a hassel of a place to deal with! So not worth the discount in price.
I’m a girl on a mission: to remove every hair on my body except those on my scalp! So I purchases several groupons from this place to help me accomplish that. Getting an appointment is an absolute NIGHTMARE, you can call anytime during working hours and no one ever picks up the phone. I tried emailing and I didn’t get an response for 2 days. Finally scheduled an appointment, which was always a month or more away! If you want to change it, it will put you another month behind.
They were always having trouble with finding my chart. I always felt like my treatment was rushed and not thorough at all. After 6 treatments, I had only a 50% reduction, which is horrible compared to the results I got from another place.
Avoid!

I’m not a fan of writing horrible reviews on companies BUT in the case it’s completely necessary. I’m only writing this because I pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
Let me just start off by saying (THE REVIEWS SPEAK FOR ITSELF) I made a huge mistake by not checking Unilocal before purchasing services from this company. DON’T trust your body/​face to a company that only has 2 star and super cheap prices; it’s not worth it. It’s true you get what you pay for. I walk away from that place burned on both sides of my face because the girl who did it was mostly likely trained that same week. Due to these groupon deals this doctor was training people like if he was teaching them to flip a burger. I’m sure it takes time and don’t you need to be a doctor to do laser? The 3 times I went it was always different people no one stayed. We as customers assume because a doctor owns it, it will be safe WRONG! When I went in to receive my first laser treatment I got no pre consultation telling me how to prep for the treatments. When I arrived signed paperwork and I did read everything I signed.
When I got called inside she cleaned around my mouth because I was receiving laser treatment on my upper lip, did the, didn’t say anything and I left. During my 2^nd visit the girl told me did you know you were suppose to shave before coming? I told her No, no one told me anything about how to prep… Then she said if your wearing makeup then remove the makeup from around your mouth & make sure it’s clean. NOW during my 3^rd visit I had shaved & cleaned like the girl asked, thinking I did everything right I laid down for my treatment. While she was using the laser (ON MY UPPER LIP) the side on my face started burning intensely. I asked her to stop. I told her «its burning a lot» she said «oh it’s normal I turned up the intensity this visit it’s gonna start getting stronger & stronger» thinking it was normal I let her finish… the same thing happened to the other side of my face. She stopped when I jumped and she asked me «are you wearing face makeup?» I said yes, I was told I only had to remove the makeup from around my mouth since that’s the area that’s getting treatment. She told me Oh no! Your suppose to wash your half your face. Again, no one told me. Then the un-​experienced girl proceeded to tell me she burned me! She covered me in Aloe Vera and sent me on my way. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I got to my car and saw the burns on my FACE! I was receiving laser treatment on my upper lip and I walked out of the office with a burn on each cheek! I ran back inside so she can see what she did.
NO DOCTOR WAS ONSITE TO TREAT ME… WHICH IS ILEGAL!, A DOCTOR MUST BE ON SITE WHEN YOUR BEING TREATED & MUST BE OVER SEEING ALL TREATMENTS. HE WASN’T EVEN THERE!!! All 3 times I went in he wasn’t there. She sent me away saying put aloe on it, it will go away. I was in such pain, it started to swell & crust, I had to see another doctor. This was the WORST mistake of my life. I called the doctor who owned this site and I went in to fill out a report the manager came into the office to tell me the girls were suppose to call the doctor when things like this happen. Like it happens a lot. I understand stuff like this has risk but it wasn’t even the treated area that was burned, it was my cheeks. What if that was my eye, I would have went blind! They tried to cover it up?! The manager seemed sorry but at that point I didn’t even care. The doctor didn’t even say sorry to me. He told me the laser jumped, like no big deal. He was cold hearted and tried to blame me! Really it’s my fault your employee burned me?. Maybe it was my fault because I was dumb enough to come here & trust your fake advertisements. I’m almost positive he will run into many lawsuits along the way. You reap what you sow, he is not sowing a professional and honest business as you can tell by these reviews. NEVER EVER trust a cheap place like this. If you’re having a medical procedure do your research. You may pay more but after all it is your face. Don’t learn the hard way like me.
I couldn’t wear makeup for months. I missed worked and it cost my even more money for doctor treatments, creams and medication. I hope this never happens to anyone again, if it hasn’t happened to tons of people already…
UPDATE: To the doctors comment below… I would LOVE for you to publicly post a document that I signed stating you must remove all face makeup not just in the treated area. You have no such document NOR was I told. I only received post care. I’m not a moron I know how to read. If it stated that it must be done, I would have done it! Who in there right mine would take a risk like that on their face? I followed all instructions! Don’t blame your customers for your shortcoming & mistakes. Your business speaks for its self, LOOK AT THE REVIEWS!

This place is horrible! You can’t never get someone to pick up your call. I had to email back and forth. Appointments after appointments are cancelled and re-​scheduled. I had one appointment in early June. On Saturday prior to my Monday appointment, somebody called from the office right before they closed to tell me that my appointment is cancelled. By the time I called back, the office is closed. They re-​scheduled my appointment to end of June and that was again cancelled. My next appointment scheduled is scheduled to be in August! The gap from my last treatment to the next appointment is actually 3 months. Any place that really cares about their patient/​reputation would actually think twice about having that much of a gap between treatments.
This place is horrible! Groupon pricing is good… but to have to deal with this kind of service, I’d rather not. Avoid this place if you could. Just read all other reviews… mostly 1 or 2 stars.

Customer service here is terrible as the other reviews have stated. It was hard for me to get an appointment for my first few sessions then it got better. But now that they keep selling groupons, its so difficult to get an appointment again.
I’ve had to wait at LEAST 30 minutes for my appointments; one appointment I had to wait an hour before I was seen. One time I arrived after receiving a confirmation email and my appointment was not on the books! They regularly call to cancel appointments because a nurse is out (once for me and THREE times for my mother). After her last appointment they canceled, they said they wouldn’t be able to re-​schedule her yet. I scheduled one appointment with the doctor himself and when I arrived, he wasnt there so dont count on getting the person you’ve scheduled your appintment with.
I purchased two groupons for 6 sessions of laser hair removal. After my first 6 sessions were finished for one area, I had hair growing back still so they offered for me to purchase 3 additional sessions for $ 60. Ive now had 8 total treatments and although the hair that grows back isn’t as thick, it still grows back significantly for 8 treatments. How many times do I have to come back before the hair is gone? Or is it that I have to keep spending money and purchase more treatments?
The nurses who do the treatments are usually pretty nice. I was lucky enough to find Angela who made me feel better about waiting so long because she is the only one who took her time to thoroughly do the treatments.
Stay away from here unless you are ready to deal with headaches and spending more money to see results for your treatments!

Picked up a groupon special for 6 treatments for 80.00. Every tech I asked told me only 6 treatments were needed for underarms. but now I see a 2 year deal with unlimited laser which leads me to believe I’ll be needing a lot more.
STRIKE 1: After the first session I was in love. hair was thin n not growing back as fast. After the third and fourth one hair was growing just as bad as before the treatments! So I called to ask whether it was normal to have the same growth after my 4^th session, and was told it wasn’t and the dr would give me a call back to schedule an appointment with me… did I ever get a call back?! NOPE!
STRIKE 2: This place is always ridiculously crowded when I come in. One time my appointment was at 5 and I wasn’t seen until 630! There wasn’t even a place for me to sit. so I was just leaning up against the wall
STRIKE 3: Had an appointment for 515PM, came in… and the office was closed! Apparently they tried calling me to reschedule becuase they changed hours but interesting how I had no missed calls (even confirmed the number they had on file)…then when I reschedule and come back the next week apparently my 10:00 appointment was supposed to be at 11. wtf?
I will NEVER ever come back here. First off, I can deal with bad customer service if I’m seeing results, but if anything the hair has growth back fuller and thicker (I’ve had laser done at other places and have had amazing results)! I’m sad that I wasted the money on this and on one for a gift to the sister who has also had bad run ins with their customer service.

–The first time I was going to go in, I wasn’t sure if I should shave my underarms or not. (I was getting them lasered.) I called in the day before and the receptionist told me that I should not shave. I get into the office, and after the laser tech looks at my unshaved pits, she says «this is going to hurt worse, since you didn’t shave». Wow. And yes, it really does hurt. And the smell of burnt hair is worse when you don’t shave. Gross!
–Next time I go in, I shave. Then the tech says «oh, you are supposed to let there be a little growth». Way to be on the same page. They need to give clear instructions when people are getting this done!
— On my third visit I got there after a couple of people but for some reason I got called in before them. I figured I had an appointment and they didn’t. But then, after I was in the room the receptionist came in and said «oops, they were supposed to be before you, you have to come back out». She somehow made it seem like it was my fault and it was kinda humiliating. It just shows they aren’t really on top of things. I would say that after reading reviews it was due to the previous receptionist, but recent events make me question that.
I called in to make my last appointment. They scheduled me for 8:30am on a saturday. 2 days before my appointment I call to confirm, because I usually get an email but didn’t this time. I get answering machine 3 times. Their website says they are open at 9am on saturdays. So I leave 2 messages asking for a call back to confirm. They didn’t call me back until 8:28am the day of my appointment. So I lost my last appointment. (It was from a groupon and if you miss the appointment you lose it.)
Would definitely not recommend, and I am a pretty easy going person.
Oh, and at one point the laser tech suggested I get the fat sucking thing done. Real nice, lady. Maybe I am fine with the way I look, ever consider that?

I have gotten laser hair removal here three times now and the results are wonderful. I still have hair growing back on my legs but it is now growing up a lot thinner then before.
Since the first time I came here I have noticed that they have hired brand new staff. The receptionist is new and so are the RNs. I had a wonderful experience with Nicole on my first visit, but since she no longer works there my new RN is Hemi and she does a even more amazing job! She is so patient and meticulous about zapping all the areas on my lower legs and really takes her time with each patient.
The last time I went I had to wait over an hour for my appointment because someone was late to their appointment which held off time for every one else after. I was a bit annoyed by this but I still feel that they really do try to accomodate their patients. About the complaints with scheduling an appointment I would say try emailing or calling early in the morning when they are less busy. After you schedule your first appointment it is a breeze to schedule the rest.

Tried scheduling an appointment with the Groupon for laser hair removal which I bought through all means possible (phone, email, online), none of which worked. Their phone rang until you got a generic voicemail, the online appointment system doesn’t work, and they wouldn’t email me back to schedule an appointment.
Complained to Groupon and got my money back.

This review is for the 600 BAJILLION people who bought the groupon for 6 sessions of laser hair treatment. I bought the extra-​small package for $ 77 for my underarms and I must say, I was SUPER ecstatic that I was able to get it bc there hasn’t been any groupons for laser hair treatment for that cheap of a price!!!
So, once you get your groupon (yay for groupon), you HAVE to book an appointment ASAP! For those who got it, don’t sit around and think to yourself you can book it later, BOOK IT NOW! I went onto their website and realized due to the high demands for laser treatments from the groupon, appointments are going to be IMPOSSIBLE to get! While browsing through their online appointment services, it said that there were NO appointment available until end of November!!! INSANE!!!
Instead, I wrote them an e-​mail Sunday night explaining to them about being a groupon customer and hoping to get the next available appointment. Literally, the morning next day at like 9:00 in the morning, a receptionist called in response to my e-​mail and actually had an opening on Wednesday THAT SAME WEEK! Of course I ended up taking that appointment even though I shaved my armpits that same day. HAHA
So Wednesday quickly came around, and I went to my appointment. At first glance, the building where Valley Aesthetics is located seems deserted and not in business. But once I entered through their door, the place itself reminded me of a spa. Nice leather couches and interior design. Word of advice: before you arrive to your appointment, print out the first time patient forms (there are about 4 different ones) and fill them out before you come in. You save a TON OF TIME! I handed them my forms and literally within minutes of walking in, it was time for my laser hair removal!
I was superrrr nervous bc obviously this is my first time doing it but the medical tech named Nicole who was behind that crazy laser gun is super friendly and cool! She explains to you the whole procedure and what happens after and some tips for you to have a good laser hair removal experience. The procedure itself, yes– it freaking hurts! But in a matter of minutes, it’s over. Literally the whole procedure itself took less than 20 minutes. After the procedure, she put some aloe vera and I was on my way out.
Overall, I was pretty satisfied. As of now, my armpits are still burning but the pain isn’t too bad. I just keep rubbing a whole crap load of aloe vera and it’s all good! The one thing I was kind of nervous about was that even though they we went through with the laser hair removal, the consultation was really short and maybe it was bc I was nervous but I was really scared I might get a crazy side effect reaction from the laser. But so far, so good. So can’t worry too much. Just make sure if you’re nervous like I was to talk to the medical people about it and get all your questions out. I ended my experience by booking for the second appointment and I was out of there!
