The teachers are good here. They care about the students for the most part. The basket ball teams are pretty good.

It was OK when I was there from 1994 to 1998. There are lots of culture there like Hispanics, Asians, etc. Also, the campus used to be unfenced and then the fences were built up which didn’t help much IMO. It looked and felt like a prison! :(

Awesome school! Graduated in 1991. At that time, I enjoyed the teachers. School was very clean and well organized.

This makes no sense to me. Why are we Unilocaling public high schools? You think they even care what we write?!? And I don’t understand the reviews… you thank the school and like the school but you give them a 3 – 4 star? As I alumni, I must support my Alma Mater and give them a 5 star…

Great basketball court. Orange Grove Middle School girls baseball is undefeated here, three years straight. Go O.G.

What a wonderful school with wonderful teachers. I have been very blessed to have been taught by legendary older teachers, as well as by fun and creative newer teachers. The student life here is very diverse and fosters academic and intellectual growth while being in a fun and friendly environment. The sports teams aren’t the greatest, but they do offer physical activity, fun, and the opportunity to gain experience in teamwork and leadership.
I would just be wary about joining the badminton team. Years ago, I was a victim of racial prejudice by the coach, who is still there today. Generally he does not let you «make the team» if you are obviously of Latin American or Mexican American descent. I had made the team based on my Asian looks, but I am a certain percentage Latin American, and when he found out, he told me that I was unfit to play because of it. He then resigned in fear that I would report him but came back to coach after I had graduated. Also, be careful if you’re a young Asian girl on the team. He is a flirtatious guy with a reputation for getting too close to the girls and picking the varsity team based on cuteness [girls only] and not actual talent or skill. Mothers and fathers beware. This guy is out for your babies.
Other than that, great school! I miss it dearly, but I know it is somewhere that I hope to send my children to in the future. The staff here teaches great moral values, tolerance, and the academics are up to par so as to prepare you for college.

A staple of H-​Town. If you have ever drove by the 60 Freeway, you have seen the big W next to the freeway. This high school doesn’t discriminate. It has Mexican, Asian, white, black, Pilipino, and all the others I forgot. The Badminton team kicks ass!

Went to school here and i have fond memories of it… thanks for making me out to be a great person.

The biology and math teachers keep getting pregnant, leaving students scrambling desperately to finish the curriculums with substitute teachers who are just as clueless as the students. The high school counselor I was assigned to here kept the existence of the California High School Proficiency Exam from me. I did not have a good experience here.

«Wilson High School hail to thee…» i forgot the rest. Wilson Wilson Wilson. It’s been a long time since our last separation and to this day i still wonder why you had to take down the lockers and put up the black metal fence the year I became a freshman? Was my class that bad? I missed the HS experience of having lockers and open campus because of you. Nevertheless, had some great memories with you and at the same time not.
NOTE: no this is not the Long Beach Wilson, no this is not the Woodrow Wilson, this is the Hacienda Heights Glen A Wilson. The hs that produced Scott Williams who played on various teams in the NBA.

I’ve only been there for one semester in the 80’s and it was a scurry experience. Coming from Palo Alto HS, Wilson feels like the school from that Edward James Omos movie. They have a closed campus which I was completely not used to. (Feels like prison). The classes were not very challenging and the teaching staff is questionable quality at best. I do like going down there to play tennis tho. Anyhow, I transferred back to Palo Alto HS in Northern Cal one semester later.
